Yeah, and that's partly my fault. I honestly had no idea I would be this busy when I started work + school- definitely didn't sound like that much work.
Unfortunately, I'm going to go with my guy instinct and end the game here- if in Spring I have this many cold calls and hand shakes to do between my board membership and real estate, I can only imagine I'm going to be completely dead in the Summer.
My hopes was to have a smart phone so I could just update this from that, but, unfortunately, I haven't had any cash to update, like, at all.
Really sorry about this- I guess between the new career and sister stuff, I'm just not able to dedicate as much time as I wanted to to the game.
If I ever want to do a reboot, I will let you guys know- thanks for playing.
Arvalis made a quick and slight bow to the Queen as he then stuttered for a small moment in response to Suzume Er, Sir, Master Suzume, I think this may be hardly the time for casual conversation... Mr. Aram?
Aram, still holding a slight grin, snapped out of his daze as he watched Sara finish the work Lady Lynyna had instructed before clapping his hands together Yes? Oh! My apologies, I am not myself. All this battle has my mind all over the place! Yes yes, I can finish up here, we will try to hold things down at the prison... I have a feeling something dangerous awaits you there, Sara. But this is why I funded the Protection Guild- Suzume, Telula, and, er- Mr. Aram snaps a finger at himself as he pretends to try and remember Lady Lynyna's name, giving her the chance to design one for herself in the presence of a non-exclusive party before continuing Yes, sorry, I'm forgetful! Please, feel free and be fully encouraged to go aid your friends at the work camp! Er, Arvalis, if you would excuse us just a moment?
As Arvalis dismissed himself, Aram brought back out his grin and from underneath his clothing revealed five white stoned, gold plated rings Telula, this was more what I was attempting to reach talking about, but, unfortunately, it will have to take place another time. Here, please- he placed the rings in Telula's hands gently with a consoling nod These used to belong to, well, other people I suppose is the best answer for now. Please use these to transport yourself to anywhere within the City of 42- it is quite the massive city, after all. Er- don't let anyone see you use them, though, hm? Telula, you should know that not even King Gogrin knows this is how I have been getting around.
Aram then gives the group a quick nod, urging them hurriedly to use the rings now before Arvalis' return, assuring them that Sara's eyes are quite safe to see it happen She's seen me do it several times already- trust me, she can be trusted.
Aram nodded, and Gogrin's house servant left for the kitchen to fetch meat and a rug Archer quote ftw. as Sara tsk'd to Suzume Yeah, until you find out they've been plotting to kill your benefactors for full control of our "city" over the course of the past three years. I'm not too friendly towards... Disloyalty.
An unusually devouring smile came about Sara's face as she said this while the servant then came about and made the preparations according to Lady Lynyna's instructions. Just as they finished, a familiar face emerged through the door, who almost attempted an eye roll as he saw Suzume Master Suzume, Mr. Aram- Master Sealith sent me and a few others to get your help in dealing with some sort of forces moving in on our work camp in the South-Eastern Quadrant but... what happened here???
Arvalis stood in the doorway with two others, bringing Sara to draw her sword until a gentle hand from Aram assured her this man, too, was a friend.
Sealith- let me know if you'd like me to move forward with what's going on in the South-East
You notice as Suzume and Lady Lynyna discuss longevity that Aram gives a wicked curl of a smile to his lips and gives you a wink, before continuing on-
No need to worry, Lady Lynyna, I speak for nearly the entire Council of 42 when I saw that, despite the means, we are all going to be very happy with the end of Warden Franklin.
Now... A body... Hmmm... Well, the Protection Guild is already cleaning up the dead from the streets- as far as anyone knows only one body is in here... How do we move out a body that doesn't exist from this room? There are, obviously, careful eyes all over this city that are against us...
Sara grinned We could bring in the ones who surrendered, and kill one of them?
Aram gasped DC 15 Sense Motive Sara!
Sara sighed Yes yes, Protection Guild not mercenaries. Lady Lynyna- do you have any recommendations on how to move out a body we don't have, without bringing any others in?
OH, lolol xD Well, for me, you and Vasu flew off to the West originally into the undeveloped forest the work camp was heading towards- which is where you saw the multitudes of Orog.
Now you guys are at the actual work camp to the East, gathering people up before the Orog from the western woodlands reach you guys. Sorry about that xD
As Suzume and "Sara" continued talking, Aram quickly interjected Sara Killinton is the Guild Master of the Protection Guild, a guild I began to fund immediately to counter Warden Franklin and his guard upon inheriting the 42nd Vault. Aram gave a sly smile at the chained "Warden" as he spoke before continuing Now, my dear Sara, this is your show- how would you like to proceed? And, of course- Aram took a quick glance at Telula Feel free to put in your input, and yours, Suzume, as well. Telula and I were discussing a public trial, or a private execution. Personally, execution would be much easier to deal with, but... Anything could work.
As "Sara", Suzume, and Telula wrapped up business outside, people began to slowly flow into the streets once more. One or two began to mop up some of the blood spilt, muttering about hooligans and traitors under their breath as they did so. The men were chained and roughly thrown inside the carriage previously escorting Warden Franklin as "Warden Franklin" had been removed and put, in chains, inside the home of Gogrin.
Aram, peeking his head out once more, ushered for them all to fall in rank inside the house as they continued their conversation.
--------------------------
After Sealith's command, Arvalis quickly took to his horse, whistling for two others to join him as he did so while several others around the camp gathered their weapons and began to prepare for their first real battle. Mood:1d20 ⇒ 17 Nearly all of them appeared confident and well taken to their first battle knowing that Sealith would be at the head of their command, as well as the one many had seen fend off a saber cat or two and was building quite the reputation for being a hunter.
Trisha approached Sealith once the troops were reading, telling Sealith that they had nearly 20 people fully equipped and prepared for combat, but that there were about 20 others capable of helping with weapons despite being unarmored- leaving the call and plans to Sealith and Vasu, Trisha awaited their response.
Sorry guys, between board membership and real estate and school starting up again it's been insane, by this Saturday or so I should be able to post every other day again xD
Meant to post this earlier, but didn't have wifi figured out for when I went to vacation in S. Carolina xD
Yet another flashing combination of Telula's magic arc of lightning and Suzume's blade clashed together against a rioter, felling them to the ground. The two Protection Guild Members turned on yet another rioter, felling them as well, while "Sara" gravely wounds yet another.
The remaining two rioter's cowered and crowded together, dropping their weapons with a clank on the ground and hands in the air Mercy! Mercy! Clearly the King's claim is good, for him to have hired such a power group of outsiders, for the Vault to have started such a powerful new guild! Mercy! Mercy!
-----------------Meanwhile------------------
Sealith quickly landed at camp to find Alvaris and Trisha rounding up the rest of the group for their lunch break, sitting at cheaply wooden made tables or, in the greater populace, basic blankets laid about the ground. As Sealith and Vasu landed with a thud, Alvaris looked up, wide-eyed Where in the hell did you go?? And where did you just come from? You don't see Master Suzume around, do you? I'll never live down him knowing I'm actually drinking milk with lunch today.
As "Sara" disappears, she hears the rioters yelling out to Spread out! Find her! But they couldn't, to any avail.
As they began to, Suzume finished the final rioter on the right side of the wagon, a quick plunge through the rioter's gut finishing him off as he flourished around, now heading after the rioter that just took a bolt to their chest.
As the rioter advanced, the Protection Guild fighters could be seen chop cutting down the rioter that stood between them, now turning to face what little remained of the once large rioting group.
Guard:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
The rioter advanced on Telula for only a second before collapsing to the ground, his chest sizzling shut as another rioter tsk'd, shoving him aside I'll be the one to end this foreigner once and for all! he shouted.
Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 He swung after her, but missed by just a hair's width as he did so.
The others began to fan out, getting into position as they hopped back off the wagon. One more rioter approached the guards Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 but missed, still stumbling from their messy landing hopping off the wagon.
Sealith counted nearly twenty Orog scrambling and marching towards the camp- based on their pace on land, they would most likely reach it within the next hour, giving them just half an hour or so to warn and gather the villagers post arriving.
The forest was thick, and the Orog seemed to be coming out of nowhere- it would help that they were being loud, but most wouldn't see them until it was too late- until they emerged from the forest itself.
For initiative, I'm going to revert back to having whoever wins the initiative round going first, much easier for me to keep track of it that way when I'm gone for a day or two. Order is now Suzume, Lady, Telula, 2 Protection Guild Members, then Rioters
It is based on the new dead, now Round 3
As an arrow pierced through the rioter's chest, Suzume cut them down in one quick slash and flourish before closing in on the rioter attempting to one on one with the "foreign witch."
It would seem as though they had them surrounded as Telula attempted to finish off the last rioter on their side, but missed just barely as the rioter moved to attack once more.
*Telula, go ahead and go again, then Lady, and I bot the rest!*
Making good on his promise, Suzume spun in a brilliant arc around the Protection Guild Member and in a single, very samurai de-sheathe and draw, cut clean across the chest of the rioter Telula had just blasted in the chest with a brilliant arc of lightning.
Blood splurted as, in only a matter of moments, another one of the cocky rioters fell down in a pool of their own blood.
The two remaining rioters that had only 12 seconds before held the upper hand now cowered back to back against one another, silently debating who to attack first before deciding on the crow before them.
In an almost twisted vengeance one of the rioters returned the damage done to their comrade against Suzume. The other, seeing the hit land, moved forward against the other who had just so recently blasted his ally with lightning Not fast enough, foreigner WITCH!
Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
In his over confidence, however, the man missed, leaving himself wide open to attack from Telula.
Meanwhile, hearing the vast amount of remaining forces on the other side, the Protection Guild Member began to move along the side of the wagon in hopes of flanking those on the other side.
Suzume you get an AoO on the one who advanced after Telula, then Telula and Lady you can feel free to attack as well, since it would take any of the enemies remaining 1 standard action just to reach you regardless
As Sealith and Vasu continued in their debate, the marching grew closer until both of their perceptive and predatory eyes saw it-
It was a large group of some form of dark green skinned Orcs heading right for them, each one brandishing a large great axe in both hands or a spear in one with a torch in another, chanting over and over again as they grinned
Looks like my pace will still, unfortunately, be every other day or so. Sorry about that! Once I get a real phone, and not a brick phone, I should be able to do it on my lunch breaks though!
The rioters seem wary of "Sara" as she calls out threat to them, but two move right up to the side of the carriage regardless, most likely in an attempt to soon climb up after her. NICE innovation on jumping up on the carriage!
Meanwhile Suzume's blade drew out spews of blood as it cut across the same rioter the guard of the Protection Guild had just stabbed, effectively cutting him down in one quick motion as Telula cast her lightning bolts at two more, gravely searing both of their lightly armored chests.
On the other side of the carriage the remaining rioters moved in on the lone guard, flanking him as he attacked after them with his own rapier, missing the first on a misstepped lunge but quickly recovering to stab the other two-
The guard then quickly reversed the lunge, countering one of the rioter's mid attack before putting his rapier fully through their throat in a clean and solid repost.
The others, no longer flanking him, continued in their attack
Rioter Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Second Rioter:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
However both miss, distracted from the almost instantaneous death of their companion before grimacing after the group.
As "Sara" leaps into action with her words of violence and striking pose she manages to cause the first traitor from the Warden's lackeys to be shaken, his hand seeming to reverberate around the pommel of his sword.
Suzume saw one just behind this one that reminded him of a certain Royal Guard Arvalis he enjoyed picking on- only, of course, this one was going to get picked on and die. Regardless, he too was shaken by the fact that staying meant his body would not only be mangled, but mangled in a dehumanized way.
Despite their encouragement for the traitors to retreat, they refused- advancing upon them instead as they insisted by the points of their swords that Warden Franklin be released.
In answer to Telula's exclamation of "What the hells?" a man stepped forward with a grin about his face This is only the lesser of us, my dear foreign b~!$~. We cannot wait for you all to meet... the Chains.
Five men began to close in around Telula, unsure of what she was capable of, and seemingly debating between attacking her first or making a break for the door-
As they did so, one of the Protection Guild Members assisting made their way over to Telula with an exclamation To act such a way to a lady so close to King Gogrin is shameful! I will slay all five of you before you can touch her!
The Rioter slashed across the guard with a short lived sneer as the Guild Member returned the look with satisfaction as his rapier broke the rioter's skin, causing him to stumble and a few others to turn their eyes on the guard.
Suzume go ahead, only the ones that go before Telula have gone- Lady feel free to ready an action or wait for my next post. Since we are in pretty heavy combat, there should be a post a night for now <3
Battle roster / order for the fight! I have posted the roll20 link in as well.
Lady, feel free to apply your acrobatics roll as pre-combat move, allowing you to move 20 feet from the position I started you at, no attack of opportunity enacted.
As Suzume and "Sara" stepped forward with an additional guard on each of them, nearly ten men were charging forward against them.
One of them could be heard calling out The law? Just who the hell do they think the enforcers are??? Oi! The gold tooth man yelled out to them Who the f*@% are you??? We're the Warden's men, we're the enforcers here! Come on, enough of this, let's get 'em!
Roll initiative! You as well Telula! Play battle music!
As the remaining guard escorted the "Warden" out of the carriage, Telula and Aram emerged from inside. Telula could see Suzume and an unrecognizable woman standing near her, with a large crowd of armored men coming against them.
Aram nodded to her with a whisper
DC 15:
I cannot expose myself in public, I have quite an idea of what happens when a vast amount of foreign power is revealed to xenophobic citizens. We will continue this conversation again.
Aram then moved to follow the others back inside
Get the traitor inside King Gogrin's! Sara! Show us all what the Guild of Protection can do! For King Gogrin!
Intent on solving the mystery shrouding Vasu and dealing with her spirits, Sealith was unaware of just how far, exactly, they really were in the wilderness of the South East Quadrant of 42, and a tad farther than just outside the camp after she had landed.
Vasu, however, mid-sentence and thought of Sealith's encouragement of learning the truth, heard a twig snap. And then another, and then three more. And four more. Then she heard marching, a wild, undisciplined sort of marching with the clanking of steel and the slight whip and roar of a torches' flame.
But what could possibly be moving in such a strong formation in their direction? And for what purpose?
I will be making a roll20 "map" of this fight most likely by Tuesday depending on how wild this gets ;) I will post the link in the discussion thread by then!
As "Sara Killinton" and Suzume talk, "Sara" sees that quite a number of men are now trailing behind her, and from what she can see, they can only mean harm- though she doesn't recognize them as the Warden's men, they could be a completely different shift, or radicals looking to kill the traitor Warden themselves.
Suzume Perception:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 sees "Sara" turn her head every slightly to look behind her, but nothing nearby to arouse his suspicions beyond this casual glance a guard so often makes.
-------------------------------------
Sealith and Vasu, you two are pretty good at conducting your own dialogue, I will narrate / intervene where necessary and based on checks you make during your conversation <3
-----------------------------------
Aram's face now turned somewhat sad That, I think, is for another time. If I speak anymore now, well, I'll forget we have guests outside! Come along, Telula, if you don't mind. It is time to put the plan we so quickly devised together into effect, don't you think?
Vasu awoke, as she normally had in the vast City of 42, in peaceful solitude, awaiting orders as she always had done.
As she awoke, still scavenging meat and flesh from her most recent and successful hunt, she found in the folds of flesh a note
Vasu,
You are to continue as planned- The Speaker has been most impressed with your performance. Watch the rest of the group, should they show any signs of betraying Her Majesty the Empress, or her Empire, you are to kill them without question in a manner of your choosing.
An envoy has been sent to make contact- you should expect them within the month.
Destroy this message after it has been read and burned into your memory- do not miss the envoy.
More messages will come.
Vasu, it can be assumed that you are most likely or rather WERE most likely sleeping in a part of the wilds near Sealith's new work site, where she and Suzume had slept the night before.
------------------------------------------------
The messenger attempted to stop fidgeting, but, really, only ended up stopping his quivering voice Oh, of course. Well, eh, Master Suzume has requested you meet him... at King Gogrin's Main Palace and Hall. He told me to specifically say that "I am about to do something extremely violent, and I would appreciate their help if they could lend it."
-----------------------------------------------
As Lady Lynyna made her way through the seemingly too quiet streets of 42, she came upon Gogrin's home much sooner than expected. Each small roll over the black soil roads created an audible jingling of Sara's theatrical bonds from inside the carriage. Now and again a guard would make a comment that they wish they "were the Guild of Execution instead of Protection", but "Sara's" presence amongst them kept them from doing any real damage to their real Guild Master.
As Lady Lynyna made her way to Gogrin's home, she saw a familiar face, Suzume, across the way- perception check
--------------------------
Suzume rode Beru fast and hard, his black crow heart beating as fast as all four of Beru's hooves as he made his way through the thick and thin of the crowd until he came upon the familiar beauty that was King Gogrin's home.
Across the way from King Gogrin's home, however, was a band of guards with an unrecognizable yet stunning woman marching in step with them, each of them riding their own horses. Suzume was unsure if they were friend or foe-

--------------------------
Aram laughed Immortal? Well, I suppose that has a nice ring to it. I may have thought about that, once or twice. Maybe even tried to alter it, or imprison it, with the arcane. But, again, NOT the point!
Replace is such an unusual word for this circumstance- I think the better word is to become us. You see, future-Queen Telula.... I am one of the Five Guardians of Aureum. I doubt you've heard of us- I've done a very good job of keeping it that way.
You may think of us as powerful prophets, or controlled Zealots, maybe even impulsive servants of the gods, but, regardless of all of this- only one of us remains. Me. Aram gave an unusual smile as he said this, glossing conveniently over where the other four were And Aureum the Golden One has told this Prophet, this sleeping zealot of his, that a new group of future guardians would come about. He said one would be quite capable of one of the elements, that one would have the skin of a dragon, that two would have feathers, a crow, and one owl, and that another would have no true physical form but with the same mind.
Now, unless you believe another group of foreigners has traveled and come into 42, that I have missed over these hundreds of years- that would mean you all, don't you think?
As Sealith awoke from her hunt the night before, she found a messenger standing a more than safe distance away from her, nervously stuttering out a few words at a time, most likely intimidated by the sounds she made upon waking up Er, eh hem... You are... You are Sealith?
Aram let everything he had just said sit and stir through Telula's head before giving a curt smile Ah, yes. I suppose giving you over four hundred years of history compiled into a few sentences would be.... Hasty. Instead, let me say this-
Aram gently put his own hands on Telula's I am the First Man, Servant of the Lord of All Gods, Aureum the Golden One. I have served him for as long as Humans have existed in this world, and walked with the First Elf, First Fey, First Dwarf, and First Orc.
Your group... Aureum has told me you all will replace us. That you must replace us. But, that is a group discussion, don't you think?
One of the guards quickly popped in, unannounced after Telula's response Mister Aram! We have the Warden, and one of the group members here, per your request. Is there anything else the Protection Guild can do for you?
Aram nodded Yes- you can stay put outside, and signal to have any Royal Guard in the area brought here. And find someone to bring Gogrin as well- despite what he is doing now, we need him here.
Per Suzume's request, the man nodded and sent what appeared to be a few of his friends to retrieve as many of Suzume's well known comrades as they could find. After this, the man sighed You seem to have a well reasoned demeanor about you, then, hm? Don't normally get that from outsiders, then again, we don't have many outsiders to start with! Well, do you want to go up to the Vault and investigate, then, or wait for everyone else to return?
Lady Lynyna disguised Sara Killinton as the Warden in her most usual and expected spot on fashion- her human form almost the same size as Sara's, it was almost as perfectly easy as taking her own disguise and transmuting it to the new ally of the group.
Lady Lynyna was then handed chains to put around Sara's hands, ankles, and more, and then opened the vault door to find that, just as Sara had said, there was no one inside, though quite a few guards standing post.
Seems Mister Aram liked your plan. We're going to meet him next, supposedly because that is where the most Royal Guards are located as a strengthened escort.
<3 <3 <3 I am saying screw it to the different times for everyone for now, when things become a little more caught up I will return to that sort of thing <3 For now, just assume that I'm going to cheapen the travel times a little bit. Hahahaha
Thank you all for the words- I do apologize, feels absolutely terrible to end it this way, BUT, per usual, life gets in the way of fun xD
I will be helping Sealith now and again to run the game, as long as you guys are cool with that. She's been my whispering guide and Secondary GM almost this entire time anyways ;)
It is, funnily enough, getting to be where there is a dead end at every turn, and she might have only hospitalization left-
I don't fear that kinda thing, though- I was for like a week or so for major depression way back when. Must have just been a stint for me, cause now I'm clean as a whistle with no pills to take-
Everyone else in my family DOES take pills, though, almost literally, aside from me and my mother, from anything from narcolepsy to bipolar to anxiety to meh hahahaha
*sigh* Well, it appears I will have to cut this adventure short-
It was just outed that my little sister (14) is apparently cutting herself, or something, annnnd now we have to do a whole thing with doctors etc.
This is... extremely depressing- was really looking forward to a mythic adventure.
Based on the ridiculousness of this circumstance, if you guys were to want to try and find a new GM to take care of this game, I'm totally cool with that, and would help them with the transition as much as I could.
@John I hear you man, look at MY skills. Sure I've got gather information and diplomacy, but jesus f+@#, when combat comes around? I die.
Well, I guess that'll be somewhat fixed when I adjust everything.
Hey DM, I'm going to rework my class, though I'll still be a Charismatic hero- mind if I message you about any class substitutions I might have to make for traits, like if they give a bonus to "gather information" for a class trait then I could change it to a different charisma based skill, like intimidate or diplomacy?
Well, let's see, it IS Friday, and things are about to get PRETTY crazy in the game.
You guys have also already made it pretty far through the first part of the saga, believe it or not, in what I'm PRETTY sure is a short amount of time for level 1 to 3 to already almost 4 or so.
So- since you guys did post through christmas, and essentially the New Year, why don't we take a short break? Say, next week Wednesday?
I need to update my notes on all your characters anyways :)
***goes to update current unseen posts on gameplay board*
After a small amount of time, the Vault opened for the second time today to reveal a dark skinned woman with white hair, yet a young face, walking through the door in nothing but basic clothing and attire with a large ax across her back coupled with a wicked smile.
She quickly closed the Vault door back shut and whispered We serve the same Father, you and I. I'm Sara Killinton- Guild Master of the recently developed Protector's Guild. You met a few of my men last night.
I will be playing the role of the imprisoned Warden, so that you and the others can fight freely. Here- I brought you a quick outfit and full face helmet my higher ranking guards wear. No need to worry- only people who know what is going on are involved now, and that's only a few.
Everyone else has been dismissed, and normal operations will be run soon enough through the Vault. I will need you to do me the favor of disguising me up as the Warden, though- he told me you were quite good at that.
Couldn't help the word for word line from ES: Oblivion's "Dark Brotherhood" xD
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The person gave a small and bewildered look to Suzume, to display that they were only slightly joking with the "Master Crow", before revealing that they were clearly of the "fast talker" type-
Not sure, all I know is I went to the Prison early this morning to see my brother, who is kept away in there, I always see him at the start of the week, you see- and they wouldn't let me in! Then I went to deposit my income from my farms collective and deposit my guild's earnings, and I wasn't allowed in THERE either!!! If you ask me, King Gogrin might be letting this whole place go to hell!
OH, you are talking about the Warden? Yes- well, I'm pretty sure he was placed under arrest at some point today, or yesterday. One of those two- the prison was taken over by his guards in protest, threatening to let the prisoners out and gangs run rampant, and I believe with the prison gone they holed up the Warden in the Vault! Quite the day if you ask me!
You do know where the Vault is, and King Gogrin, though, right? If not, I could find someone to show you the way.
Aram gave a wide and excited face to Telula as he jumped from his seat Oh I have not been able to talk about this freely in, well years! Oh hundreds and hundreds of years! Hmmm, where to begin... Certainly before 42... Certainly before.... Well, fine, the beginning.
You see, there are several gods, one for each of us, every one. There is Aureum the Golden One, a giant and fearsome dragon- this one is who I serve directly these days.
Then you have Aureum's advisor, Illusio Maleficarus- he will return to this story in a bit.
Then you have Aureum's right hand wing, so to speak- the Fire Goddess and Phoenix!
Then there is Cordras Steelskin, the Minotaur and creator of all creatures you see, both mythic and otherwise.
Finally there is Moon-Eye, a ferocious owlbear, and first of its kind, that prowls the Forest of the Moon to the far East, sowing chaos wherever Aureum allows.
Aram theatrically displays each one of the gods, telling Telula which one stands for which Aureum is True Neutral, Pheonix Lawful Good, Illusio Lawful Evil, Cordras Chaotic Good, Moon-Eye Chaotic Evil before, after losing himself slightly in the moment, sitting back down and reaching across the table to Telula Ooooh and you! You and your friends. Ah yes- I've been waiting so long for you all to come! SO long for my replacements! For our replacements. Have, eh hem, sorry- have I lost you dear?
It is about noon, Day 9 for all of you at this point
The woman sighed as Suzume left your cooking check tells you the raisins are 100% safe to eat! and moved on with his investigations about the town, now moving more into the road than along the houses and open acreage of the South East Quarter.
As Suzume made his way across the street, just a tad further north, he heard more and more about Mr. Aram moving with the Royal Guard to imprison the Warden at the 42nd Vault. Some said it happened this morning, others two days ago, but the most conistently said thing among the more reliable and less eccentric sources was that it happened in the late of night, after being brought to Gogrin's home for, what they all assumed was, questioning.
Most people seemed to assume the Warden's guilt, speaking of how his guards had now taken over the Prison of 42 and threatening violence until the Warden was returned to them.
It seemed nearly no one knew what kind of crime had been committed- only that the Warden was in chains and restricted the entire time. One of the reliable sources happened to be just in front of Suzume, talking with his mouthful of meat. As he saw Suzume, he recognized him Oh! You! You're Master Suzume! Where you heading? Off to execute the Warden???
Telula knew something about the history of magic, at least. She named her newest pet "Myrddin" after all- the man said to be the second greatest wizard in all of Mundus to date, although it appeared Her Majesty the Empress may be attempting to take that title away from him.
She also knew something about Myrddin's teacher, though not very much, only that he was called the "First Person" or "First Wizard" or something along those lines.
She then noticed something odd- Myrddin was nuzzling against and attempting to eat off of Aram's plate as she had pondered about the histories she had learned not so long ago, when she still had to read about magic covertly.
Aram set down his food as he cracked his hands, his grin quickly turning serious I see. You know- being in a city with something as powerful as the Angel-Oak allowed me to hide care free for years. It spanned everywhere, and allowed me to meet in the Angel-Oak under the guise that it was the Angel Oak, and not me, that had such power flowing about.
Gogrin never caught on in our personal meetings, and, well, Elyse was always either asleep in the care of Alexis or in the Angel-Oak itself.
But I didn't have to hide anymore- no, not after I heard your group stand up to the Speaker of the Empire. Do you know the gods, Telula? Do you know anything about the beginning times?
Roll Knowledge Planes, Religion, and History if you have points in any Telula. Arcana will slightly work as well
:: He says that is perfect, you will be released and escorted to the Prison- but there is a problem. Word caught out about Warden's arrest to his real men, not the plants.
We will have to fight our way in. Aram has a plan- but wants you to disguise someone else as the Warden... his hopeful replacement::
As Suzume took a closer look he could not see much more detail aside from that the grapes were, indeed, raisins, however he knows in cooking that sometimes a bad water source.
The woman sighed heavily at Suzume Market??? The guilds already have that taken care of! This feeds my family!
Hmmm.... We will see then. I will have to make contact with him immediately. And please, go ahead- it is my job to answer questions, Telula. Aram gave a wide smile as he continued to nibble at his remains.
The cell, after an hour, felt like a day- but Lady Lynyna knew it was for a worthy cause. So soon this entire plot would be buried deep in the histories of 42, and she would be free and ready to move on to her next ambition, and meet the others who served with her beloved Perpireen.
Her loneliness was killed for a moment, though, when Nex, finally, spoke to her again ::He says that all things are a go. You have to make something that will represent being a "remains" of the Warden- proof of a fight or him being escorted to the prison::
Aram hummed for a moment as he ran everything Telula was saying over in his head It would make some suspicious... Unless....
Aram stood, pacing back and forth for a moment, gently palming his chin as he did so Yes. What if we held the private trial, but to further trust for Gogrin, entered into some sort of honesty campaign? 42 has never had an election before, not like how the guilds elect their own leaders...
We could depose Warden Franklin, liberate the prison from his gang currently residing there, and then allow the people of 42 to elect the next Warden, and the Warden only, specifically because as a law enforcer he should be of the people, by the people.
Do you think that, perhaps, would cover it? More importantly- do you think Gogrin would accept such a thing?

Ugh, look at it! It was a chubbier red haired woman, fretting over the varieties of vegetation growing around her home I used to have watermelons, tomatoes, apples, grapes! Look at them! They're shriveling right up! My family has owned this humble mud home here for generations and we've never had this problem!
