M Aberration

Sorry to see you go Sam. :(

M Aberration

My hunter is Greta, a female half-orc. She's not very romantic...not looking for a relationship since her brother passed. But if things went a certain way, she wouldn't oppose them, I suppose.

M Aberration

Also, my work load is much like the DM's. I work full time and then attend classes 3 evenings a week towards my Bachelor's. I will post as much as I can humanly achieve... :)

M Aberration

I want to use my Half-orc hunter, Greta. I'm thinking she can be a sort of switch-hitter to assist combat in the most effective way and also help with other wild-type survivaliy types things as well.

I have a half-orc hunter I wanted to play if it all evens out. :)

Under race and class levels, whatever you put there in your profile will show up.

Also it looks like we have a warpriest (melee), a ranger (melee), a wizard, and as of yet unknown healer. This means we are down a rogue for trapfinding.

I suppose I could change my race to human and pick up trapfinding...will sadly lose out on darkvision and won't be able to play an elf.

Or I suppose I could just wait until lvl4 to pick up trapfinding.

Hi! I was invited to play the rogue for the party and I will be posting soon after work.

I always wondered if the relationship rules negatively affected some player's perception of the AP. Some groups I've been with are fine with in-game relationships but some other groups get reallllly uncomfortable with that aspect.

I for one don't care either way and I think I understand where the designers were going with the addition of both the relationship and caravan rules.

I'll take Jade Regent.

Jade Regent would be of great interest to me. The grand scale of it has always appealed to me. Carrion Crown is also on the bucket list as well.

And just about everyone loves RIse of the Runelords....most recruitments reach well over 40 applicants.

And great work on the Master's studies. My wife is working on her Master's as well at the moment.

PM sent.

I was wondering the same.

One of my favorites! I'll try my hand:

Dice Rolls:

Attributes: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 3) = 12
Attributes: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 1) = 9
Attributes: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 1) = 14
Attributes: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 3) = 10
Attributes: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 5) = 12
Attributes: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 1) = 14

Rerolls
reroll: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
reroll: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6) = 12
reroll: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
reroll: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9
reroll: 1d6 ⇒ 4
reroll: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8

re-reroll
reroll: 1d6 ⇒ 2

re-re-reroll
reroll: 1d6 ⇒ 2

rererereroll
reroll: 1d6 ⇒ 6

What's the cut off time for this? I still have a submission but I'm at work. :(

Dot for my Inquisitor!

Dotting as well! Weee!

Congrats to all!

Oh mama! I love this AP! Dotting!

Ahh CoCT! Dotting.

The Elfstones of Shanara. I must admit, I like it better than The Sword of Shanara...

What's really messed up was I had just reread one of his articles and then checked FaceBook and learned of his passing. I hope his family is handling everything as best they can. Very sad news. :(

Woo!! Dot for a fighter.

Second Darkness has been the AP I've wanted to play for a long while now and I think I have a concept in mind. Dotting for a later submittal.

What's the PC party breakdown as it stands now?

I'll dot this for interest.

So, are the front liners the only current party members?

I too would be interested if this is pbp.

Hmmm, always wanted to play Second Darkness. Dotting for interest... :)

Janet Isi just sent me an Nigerian Spam letter.....in my private message box.

I'm very interested in JR. I have bruiser in mind as well. I'll post my concept later today.

Dotting for interest. I have a ranger concept in mind.

This week has been dreadful. I must humbly withdraw my interest. Good luck to all the applicants! :D

Dotting for interest ...I'm thinking human fighter.

I'll dot for a fighter. :)

Congrats to all chosen! May your pockets be lined with gold!

I have a fighter I would like to submit, since there looks like a lack of choices at this point. :) I'm in Florida, same time GMT -5.

M Aberration

Szczęśliwego nowego roku, everyone! Though an hour or five past my time, but I have a fantastic excuse: it's also my 4 year anniversary too! I hope you all have a great year.

I'll dot for interest.

How about a human fighter that was told that he was destined to overcome a great evil by a barmy wizard claiming to be from the future?

Count me in! I would be terribly interested in this! I would want to be a Human Sorcerer of some ilk. :D

1st level NPCs with PC classes get 390 gp of wealth.

Also, you can always buy ammunition in single shots, and the rules on masterwork weapons explicitly state that buying a single unit of masterwork ammunition adds 6 gp to the price.

Brilliant, thank you. See? I told you, remedial. :)

I'm a bit confused by the Novice Scout's starting equipment (pg. 128). I may well have missed a very remedial rule about starting wealth, so please point me in the right direction if I have. 1. The max starting gold for a 1st level ranger is 300 gp? The Novice Scout has almost 400 gp worth of gear. Is my math incorrect? 2. She has 3 masterwork arrows but I thought you normally had to buy them as a bundle, so is this just using simple division to arrive at a lower price or is there a specific place this rule is mentioned. Thank you for any assistance.

Dotting for a ranger.

That didn't sound so wrong in my head....

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'd be willing to join the bandwagon too. I would be happy to fill any open slot.

I'd love to play in the First Steps scenario. I could pull something together fairly quickly.

Dotting for interest as well. I'll put ideas to keyboard tonight. :-D

I have an idea for a female human fighter. I'll submit more in the afternoon, but for now dotting for interest.

What about hand biting?

... If anything else, repeatedly not making the cut helps one to challenge oneself more the next time. The more you write character backgrounds and make character choices, the better player you become. :)

Not necessarily. Since one rarely gets any feedback on what was wrong with the submission, it is entirely possible for the next to be worse rather than better. If you never get to try the characters you don't know that your choices are becoming better.

I have seen no evidence myself that forcing people to write a huge fanciful background makes anyone a better player. It can give the GM more hooks to involve the PC but that's it.
I've seen alot of people thatgrow their characters as they play them. Excellent at both role and roll play.
I've also seen several people write a 3 page back story then don't do almost anything in play because it is all right there in the characters story. Nothing more is needed.

But that is what the GM's seem to want, so it must be provided to have a chance.

Maybe I'm just an optimist. :). IMO, feedback can be helpful but I don't personally feel its necessary all the time. I like the challenge, but hey, that may just be me. :)

Aha! I've a few character concepts rolling around in my aberrant brain that could submit later tonight after work...this will be fun! Definitely interested in this. ;)

Most definitely have a few ideas for this. Dotting for interest. :)

Dotting for interest. I'll submit a character or two as well. :)

Is this over? I just saw it!
