Welcome to Kintargo……
Located north of the Devil's Perch region in the northwestern part of Cheliax. Kintargo is a large city with nearly 12,000 people. The newly appointed lord-mayor Barzillai Thrune has seized Kintargo making the atmosphere very intense. Numerous protests have erupted only to be disbanded by the local guard until today….
The current date is Lamashan 16, 4715 AR (Oathday)
Even with the cobblestones of Argent Avenue and the foliage of Aria Park still wet from the morning’s light rain, dozens of Kintargans have gathered along the facade of the opera house to protest the city’s new lord-mayor, Paracount Barzillai Thrune. The city’s new leader was appointed by Her Infernal Majestrix, Queen Abrogail II, in the wake of the previous lord-mayor’s sudden flight from the city— an event that still has local rumormongers whispering furiously. In a scant seven days, Paracount Thrune has instituted martial law, a curfew, and seven outlandish and polarizing proclamations. These actions and more have called many of Kintargo’s dissatisfied citizens here on this overcast morn. There’s been no sign yet of Barzillai Thrune himself, and the opera house’s doors remain tightly closed—as they have since the man chose the landmark as his new home—but judging by the growing sound of the protesters, he surely can’t ignore the scene on the streets below much longer.
Please introduce your characters and why you are at Aria Park where protesters have gathered.
“Ah, my adoring little chickadees. I am sorry to say I have not yet adapted to your quaint, country ways, being accustomed as I am to the sophistication and learning of Egorian. Nonetheless, know I have heard your concerns, and that I appreciate your valued feedback, and I know we shall eventually find a mutual understanding in the fullness of time. I take pride in updating Kintargo’s quaint, outdated laws to the modern standards the city deserves, and strengthening its ties with the empire in these cruel times, but obviously I have approached my duties too aggressively. “You say you chafe at the presence of nonnatives in positions of power? That authorities not of this city have no place as its leaders? That you will not be yoked by intruders? Your lord-mayor hears you. And so it is with a heavy heart that I issue this proclamation, in response to your demands: all ships’ captains are hereafter barred from leaving their vessels and setting foot on Kintargo docks or streets, under pain of... let’s say... squassation!”

Once again the late autumn winds blow with the forecast of another cold winter for the small town of Kessen. One hundred and seventy-eight years have passed since the first lighting ceremony of a lantern in memory of the town’s founder, Ekat Kessen. A small group of young, skilled townsfolk are called upon to journey to the Crypt of the Everflame. Once there, they need to light a lantern from the eternal flame located within its depths.
The day before your journey, Mayor Orfal, an elder dwarf summons a meeting with each member of the group, thanking you for your sacrifice to carry out this year’s ceremony and how much it means to the town. He says he will see you when the midday bell rings atop the Temple of Erastil. With that he tells you to get well rested for the journey is quite a trek from town.
This campaign only starts here, and will eventually grow into something much larger!
- 1st lvl characters, 20 pt. buy.
- Core races and classes to start only please.
- 2 traits (none from any of the APs), 1 drawback, for one additional trait is acceptable.
- Pathfinder only sourcebooks may be used.
- A backstory of your life in Kessen, located in Nirmathas, just north of the Fangwood is needed. NOTE: You must be from this town, or currently living here to participate in the ceremony.
- Each character class has a mentor, which is located in the back of The Crypt of the Eternal Flame module. If you are interested in playing and don’t have this module, please let me know which class you want to play and I can send you the information you need.
- Average starting wealth.
- One post a day minimum. If you can’t commit, please omit from this thread.
- New players are most welcome!
- I will eventually incorporate some Ultimate Campaign rules later on, so think about a craft or profession to make $ on the side.
We've only gotten past a couple of encounters before real life handed me some obstacles to overcome, but I now return with hopes to move on. In the process we lost 2 great players. So far we we have a female wizard, the other player is having difficulty thinking of a character as his went to another campaign.
Looking for people who may be interested in playing the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game.
On her card the weapon box is not checked. Does this mean she takes penalties when she uses a weapon?

Ally ranged attack- can it be used to hit a target at your location or at another players location?

I recently had a vision, while looking through the recruitment boards and finding the same ole, same ole. My thoughts were, why recruit 4-6 players when you can recruit a whole town full of players! Why does the GM need to play all the NPCs, why do there need to be NPCs at all, besides villains of course. Leveling your characters. While adventurers gain xp out adventuring, what about the common folk like the shop owners and the like. Why not level them by wealth. The only real NPCs will be the common folk who depend on the actions of the town guard, shop keepers, and town government to keep them alive.
As a group you will feel the impact of lifes challenges, whether they be good or bad. Adventurers will be needed to protect and venture out into the wilds the defeat foes that could potentially harm the community.
This inspiration was also brought into my thoughts by the latest Pathfinder Ultimate Campaign book. This in my opinion is one if the greatest creations any rpg company has put together. The name for this campaign will be called, The Ultimate Campaign! Any thoughts or critiques welcome.
Evening has fallen and you are all sitting at a table talking and getting to know one another. A rather tasty meal is brought out by the staff of the Wise Piper Inn, compliments of Talia Orem, the Inn's proprietor.
Midway through the meal, the walls begin to rattle like they would if a loud clap of thunder had sounded.
Roll Perception check (DC15)

Beyond the module- depending on what Paizo can come up with or I can find, I am not opposed to going beyond 7th level with a good solid group.
An earthquake rocks Taldor and its border regions. Scouts are sent out in search of new and old discoveries unearthed.
The small village of Ralstead has received news that a wall has been breached in a small fortress known as Targen's Hold. The fortress has been magically sealed for close to a decade. Know one has ever been able to discover the mystery behind the magically sealed walls. Now that the walls have been opened to the world once more, the mystery may soon be revealed.

I need 4-5 players for the Reign of Winter adventure path due out mid February. I want a group ready to go a week or two after I receive the first installment, "The Snows of Summer."
