The official standard is four adventurers, each made with a point-buy of 15. The party could probably be stretched to five without too much in the way of changes, but three players would be under-manned (and probably require a DMPC to cover all roles adequately). Some GMs allow a 20-point buy instead of 15.

Sorry bout that thought we could RP it a little. my bad.
Cant wait for the first posts.
It is a crummy time for me as I am at a conference all week long, but I will post at least once a day. Though it will be FAR below the posting rate that I will usually have.

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Aha! Thanks for that comment Kylma!
I had been clicking the 'n more' button, not the actual Discussion button. Obviously, now I have done so, I am able to get here...
edit: Although it still shunts me to the Campaign Info thread after I make a post!..
Weird...

Grey, the Lady's dog |

If no one else feels so inclined, I will do so. I try to write such things at points when it seems to me it would make sense however, so when we have made camp for the night works but when we are in the middle of a combat that has for some reason taken fifty-plus posts & still isn't done doesn't.

Kjell Carlufsen |

By all means, please do so Grey, and thanks. Also, if any of you are interested in an Evil PbP at Level 4, please check out "Blood Knives" and jump in the Discussion Thread. We recently lost some players and are looking to move forwarded with a very interesting game thus far.

Grey, I have given you co-game master status, and I trust that you won't go into the gm only material. :)
MwaHAHAHAHHHAAAHAHAHAHHHAAAAA!!!
Ahem...
Gotcha.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
And since I wasn't resisting I felt it would be more appropriate if the Avatar was a bit more sinister as well.

Long have the people of the Frostwolf following known that all halflings are just goblins waiting to happen.
>;D
Also, somebody else directed me here, so it looks like the answer to my question is no. Considering I am discovering a radically increased utility to my SM SLA the more I play summoners, it doesn't bother me that much.

Considering how often you get to USE your SM SLA and the minutes-per-level duration, I'd probably roll a summoner without his Eidolon for long stretches.

Yeah, I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that what many say about Master Summoners being the most powerful of the Summoner Archetypes is accurate, it just happens to be the Archetype I have the least interest in from an RP standpoint, although in my RW Tabletop game I might consider it... PbP, I really enjoy the potential character interactions between the Summoner, the Eidolon & the other party members, even if RAW a Synthesist Eidolon wouldn't really have a 'character' per-se; which is why I still play Great Mastiff as having a personality somewhat separate from Grey's.
Back to the whole SM SLA class feature, something like that is pretty much what I was imagining when I first heard the Class Name before I ever even read the description in the APG.

Yes, I'd imagined a wizard hyper-specialized in conjuration, sort of. I'm designing a Master Summoner right now to be that guy, in fact :)

hey all back in town and can get posting regularly

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Kilain: below the text window there is a button marked 'How to format your text', if you press that button it will open up & show you a number of formatting tricks, including how to get the spoiler tag to say something other than spoiler. The short answer is type spoiler=ooc when you would normally just type spoiler.
Kylma, the Kellid language is called Hallit & Grey will be wanting to learn it from you next level. Considering that what few humans living in Irresen are probably Kellids, we might all want to pick it up before too long.

Dorvren |

Dorvren speaks it. but none of you ever talk to him :( Poor lonley rogue
:P

Dorvren |

I probably missed it in that insane week of the conference. I was on phone posting only and usually only got to check posts for about 2 minutes at a go.
But for now lets say that he was too scared to speak to you. He is super shy

Grey, the Lady's dog |

I haven't read it, but I would suspect the obvious choices would be Gozreh & Nethys, possibly Asmodeus &/or Zon Kuthon for the really evil ones. Paizo does seem a bit lacking in suitable 'Winter Deities' now that you mention it.

New England Frost Giant |

Well as long as I have till the 30th when Paizo releases Irrisen Land of Eternal Winter. I also just looked at the preview for part 5. Why would they take a fantasy setting and place in 20th century our world? I really was hoping none of you chose guns for ranged weapons because I don't feel they represent the fantasy world to me. It's just crazy!

Dorvren |

i have read it but i dont recall any gods specifically

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Grey, I made a spot for you to write your story. It's called Grey's Journal. Use that instead of the Adventure Log.
Cool, I will look it up. Unfortunately I have a tone of family & household stuff land on me for the rest of this week so it is unlikely I will post in the journal before Monday at the earliest.

Dorvren |

Frosty I think the rogue talent gun training just got very attractive! :P

By part 5, do you mean the fifth book in the AP? From a mechanical perspective, we are going to be in our low teens level-wise.
Let's see, Kjell & Kylma will be rockin' 3+ attacks every 6 seconds...
Kilain & I will be able to call/summon angels & other deific heralds...
Not to mention the fact that if I get really stupid with the Evolutions I can almost re-make myself as 'Iron Man'
NO! Not going there, don't worry.
Honestly, Dorvren picking up a six shooter or even a 45' at that point is going to be more "Oh good, you've caught up..." than 'Gah! Unholy firespitting demon weapon!!!"
