Realizing what the group is conversing with, Thallin decides to move off into the distance and invokes a protective spell on himself. Once the spell is complete, he makes his way back to the group.

As the discussion continues, the rogue infuses his bow with additional arcane energy and then fires a shot at the red ghoul.

Out of range of the ghouls to hear, Thallin casts shield spell on himself and then moves back to the encounter. Assuming the doorway is still clear, he steps into the door, enchants his bow as a swift action, and fires a shot at the red ghoul. Hopefully the ghoul is flatfooted.

It looks like Bluedove's last post was around November 8th. I believe she is a good GM and I'm hoping she can return, safely. Normally, I would say to give her more time, but with the Game Day V time limit, it makes sense to keep things moving. If she returns, I am assuming it is ok for her to take the GM seat again. Right?

Thallin moves back out of the passage and heads over to the mundane door. After arriving at the door, Thallin stands fare enough back to allow Tarondor access to the door.

While looking over at the wizard, Thallin nods in agreement. "Absolutely."

Thallin begins moving down the steps while searching for traps.

Once safely down the steps, he begins searching the stone door with the face.

If it looks like there will be enough ventilation to accomodate the fire, Thallin will move into the previous room and begin collecting burnable wood from the three that is growing in the entrance.

After collecting enough wood, he begins pilling the wood and the undead on (or next to) the pile of flesh. Once the pile is ready, he will light it on fire.

"If this works, it should destroy it."

"We could pile up the undead, close to the mound of flesh, and burn the entire lot. That would probably stop the mound of flesh from regenerating and eliminate the chance that the undead would be tampered with later."

Thallin glances around the room to confirm that there is enough ventilation for such a fire.

After making note of the room's ventilation the rogue begins searching the secret door for traps.

Once he finished with the secret door, be begins searching the regular door for traps.

For some reason, I visualized the ink being smeared because they got eaten before they could finish...LoL.

I didn't roll the healing because it was a wand of infernal healing, which would have healed 10 HP. Let me know if there hasn't been enough time for the wand to have fully taken effect and I will apply the remaining damage.

Thallin continues to whisper. "Anyone have a strong area damage spell, or something that will hinder their movement? If not, we could use this entrance as a funnel and hack them down from the other side as they make their way mindlessly through it. We would want to hold them at the entrance so only one can exit at a time. Then there is the possibility that they may be distracted enough by the feeding frenzy to ignore ranged attacks."

One would wonder if they didn't have enough time to finish the scroll, who put the scroll back into the water tight tube. As fare as the amulet goes, any front-line strength based character should take it. Thallin will use a charge from his wand to heal the few damage he sustained from the splash damage.

Thallin leans forward to get a look into the room, and then whispers to the group. "That's a lot of undead! From here, I don't see any reason to take over this room. We could attack, but what in here are we after? Maybe we should back out and look for another rout. That being said, I hate the idea of leaving undead behind."

From what I can gather, that is the case. Once the rest have made the climb, Thallin will follow in suit.

"I am concerned about these statues. I have heard of guardian statues being used to protect places and items. These could be something in line with that. Either a gargoyle type of creature or an animation. Either way, it would be hectic to have an encounter with something like that while climbing. If someone wants to attempt the climb, I can try and provide some cover fire with my bow." Thallin pulls out a blunt arrow and prepares to provided cover fire if one of those statues begins to move.

As fare as Thallin is concerned, he would have left the survivor be unless it posed some sort of threat. As fare as the magical +1 ring and amulet goes, I am OK with that going to someone on the front line like Restful Spirit. Thallin will collect up the rest of the monetary items and place them into his pack, so the group can split it later.

Still unable to discern a suitable target, Thallin decides to move up to get a better view of the combat. After relocating to s spot where he can get a glimpse of the enemy, the Magus draws back his mighty bow while infusing its shaft with an arcane enchantment and then fires it into the fray.

I'm not sure why, but for some reason Thallin's allocated 0 level spells have been omitted. I will refrain from using them this encounter but going forward he generally has Detect magic, Light, and Mage hand selected as his 0 level spells.

Thallin responds to the scream by knocking an arrow and preparing to fire at any viable threat that presents itself.
