All you Valafor!

Winds howled as they all stood outside the Gate of the Dominorum Empire.

A man, his skin tinted blue, his eyes as pale as the snow that was falling, and sharp, needle like teeth, grinned at Valafar "Valafar Zaros Kiorakas. It appears your families money and skills in Necromancy has finally brought you here, to me.

Do you know who I am? Do you know who they are?"

The man that you knew only as "The Speaker of Her Majesty the Empress" waved a gray robed hand to three half-ogres and a monstrous Orc looking giant who stood, grinning, and standing behind you.

You only knew of that monstrosity- he was an Orc-Giant that went by the name of Shakriig the Hammer. He was a magnificent hunter and enforcer that patrolled the slums of the entire Empire.

What you didn't know, however, was why he was here.

For all your questions Valafor!

Discussion of events/ characters for Development Project B

You have walked in a giant maze of shrubbery and circular gardens filled with roses, violets, tulips, and daises with confusion, or, perhaps, analyzing where you might be- the last thing any of you remember before being in this land was that you had received a letter from one of the Dominorum's couriers inviting you to the Capital where the Council was to speak a word-

To some of you this opportunity seemed like a consequence of something you'd done in the past; to others it would seem that maybe someone was finally recognizing the little guy; to the rest perhaps it was of no shock at all, or the most shocking letter of your lifetime.

Regardless, you can tell by the cold, the gardens, and the giant apes escorting you to some random location while you were in chains like a prisoner was most likely not Dominorum. Feel free to roll a knowledge check here if you have any skill points in one

The apes escorted you to what appeared to be the edge of the city; it was definitely colder and in the rags you were currently wearing there was hardly any protection from it- fortitude save against the cold and wind

Finally as you shiver your way into an odd formation around a runic symbol on the ground the Apes begin to engage in one another with nods and slamming of fists on their own chests.

Your world fades around you for a brief moment as an intense flash of hot blue light spans your entire vision. The gorillas are gone, as are the winds, the cold, but there are still shivers down your spine from the fear of the powerful voice that came forth- or was it voices?

All you saw before you was one man, a man who's blue face and elf pricked ears you know well; but unlike the letters this Speaker of the Council sends to his knights his voice sounded like that of a thousand.

Behind him, all within the blue coloring of the scenery, where ethereal blue members of the council. They were faceless and as far as it could be told, voiceless. While the Speaker of the Council paced back and forth staring directly into each one of you with his deep black eyes the ethereal members stood in a circle mimicking your own that the gorillas had placed you in.

A thousand faceless faces staring at you with the Speaker of the Council grinning in observance in his simple, humble robes. You realized at this point that there were other group members around you as well- how had you not noticed them, yet walked with them before?

The Speaker of the Council gave a pointy tooth and wide grin revealing that the inhuman appearing humanoid did indeed have dimples, and, perhaps, mercy
So.... He took a few steps back, arms wide as he continued grinning THIS is the Council's new Development Project Team! Oh I am SO pleased with you all! And YOU all! On the second sentence he made a point that he was talking to the faceless blue beings behind him.

As he spun in a circle in excitement his hands passed through the faceless men, making them wisp away as if they were clouds of blue smoke before they assembled themselves all over again.
I apologize, then, to my new team for the... Uncomfortable... conditions. But The Council decided that before you do your original design- before we let you fail at the objective that EVERY OTHER TEAM has failed at- Will save against ethereal shout Perhaps maybe we should test you. Unlike the others, after all, you aren't veterans, you're young, new at what we hired you on this project for. Yes. So then, what should you call yourselves?

The man's shout, if it even is a man, had transitioned from yelling to a calm method of invitation to naming yourselves that you nearly fumble talking of a name among yourselves until the black set eyes gives you another look Go on! Go on. You can talk to one another, talk to me- you are becoming the actual living breathing body and will of this Council. Do not fear us- respect us. I promise, you will be rewarded.

A few of you felt a particularly long stare given directly at you, sinking in your hearts that this Speaker of the Council knew exactly what had brought each and every one of you here.

Yes! It begins! Please don't post until all characters are ready/ don't post until Monday! Dotting is fine to trail the thread, just no in character posts yet. I hope you enjoy this introduction!

There is something even more unusual about the Speaker of the Council, hinted at the fact that you *all*, no matter your languages spoken, understand him in the same time frame

Welcome "Crisis Team"!!!

WARNING:

I have already began private IM recruiting on this, so slots are limited!

Introduction:

The Mundus Saga
The Development Project

Congratulations!

Your group has been designated as the Crisis Team, the A-Team, the World Heroes of Mundus. When there are fires going on in the world The Development Project is who is called to solve it.

Your first assignment from The Council is to cease the actions of a rogue group of extremists named “Mortiferis”. They have began to take massive portions of land from Dominorum (ruling lands of The Council) in Mundus, along with slaves, theft, and acts of war.

Can you stop Mortiferis and restore Dominorum to its original state?

The Crisis Team is its small unit all in one group, and has risked its pick on five new adventurers to the field to be the most diversified group ever picked by the Council to date.

Your journey will be in real time, real distances based on certain parts of the world, and full of more than just the Mortiferis to trouble your group, along with the pleasures of Mundus as well. Games, gambling, drinking, women, men, and more.

Character Build Information:

25 Point Buy (Anything goes allowed on the d20 mod)
All Races
No Gestalt
Unchained Allowed
Hero Points Awarded
No 3rd Party Classes or Psionics
Level 1 through to Level 5 for part 1
2 Character Traits from any trait list (MUST FIT CHARACTER BACKGROUND)

Background Expectations:

Detailed. This does not have to be long, but it should describe why the Council, essentially the greatest empire in the history of Mundus, would risk a chance on you to solve their, and multiple other towns/ cities problems along the way.

You can be a loner, have a family and kids, or somewhere in between. Perhaps a Councilman's Investigator randomly picked you up from your work place, or you applied for one of their other jobs and got this one instead.

Keep in mind that despite letting a vast variety of builds in, it is essentially the Feudalism Era - just post Renaissance all across Mundus, with the added flavor of the power of Pathfinder's creatures and magic.

Bonus for Character Development:

In addition to your two traits (that I will review) I am giving 5 skill points at first level to go towards a performance/ profession/ craft job and only of those three.

1 exception- a Bard cannot apply these 5 points to their performance skill

Dot here as well!

Leave your dot on the Elder Scroll!

First, of course, the hook ;)

Introduction to the Game:

As the Champion wept over the dead Emperor Uriel Septim, clutching to the Amulet of Kings now soaked with tears, Barus barged into the small, dimly lit room of the sewers. Sweat dotted his face and blood his shield.

Panting, he accused the would-be-Champion, “What...have you DONE?” His sword as at the ready, though it shook with fatigue the warrior endured from fending of five Mythic Dawn on his own.

The Champion tore her sack cloth shirt, throwing the Amulet of Kings at Barus, “They KILLED HIM! The Mythic Dawn!” She could not even speak- only moments ago this man, this humble emperor, had seen her freed. A great justice to the woman, as she had been framed in the first place.

Barus sheathed his sword, clutching onto the Amulet of Kings as he, too, shed a single tear hidden in his sweat for the old man. He had protected him for years. Uriel Septim was a good man, “He’s dead now, girl. We have to leave. YOU have to leave- I’ll find you on the outside.”

As Barus offered her some spare clothes from his pack, the sound of a summoning shimmered behind him. It was quickly followed by a scottish accented, white haired supposedly “human”. He danced as he trotted out of the portal, closing it behind himself. His voice was very sing-song and a grin split across his face from ear to ear, “Ooooh, Barus! Oh I don’t think you’ll be needin’ to do that, there, will ya? WABBAJACK!” Unlike most uses of the Wabbajack, Sheogorath only used it to freeze Barus in time- for now.

Sheogorath then approached the would-be-Champion- he knew who she was as she was he, and she was He, and He was not yet to be and so gone she should be, “And gone you will be!” Sheogorath said outloud. The woman shivered- this man appeared evil. A purple and red suit with some weird staff and that word…. that word he used to freeze the Blade… what was it? “Wabujak?” She thought, frightened.

“Please, please don’t hurt me! I only want to be free! Please!” Her tears ran as two strong current rivers down her face as she coddled herself, still staring at the Emperor’s body.

Sheogorath tsk’d, “Ooooh, come now, girlie! Don’t cry, don’t cry! Here! WABBAJACK!” The staff cast a spell on Uriel Septim’s body this time, except it didn’t freeze. Instead it became a beast that the girl had never seen before, something she had only read in books, “‘Tis a Minotaur Lord, me lady! He, You, and I, or rather He and You, but mostly just I, are going back to my realm, where you and He can live your days out forever. Yes- I have a perfect plan for you me lady! Come!” Sheogorath opened the portal to the Shivering Isles and the Minotaur Lord Uriel Septim carried her away, still shaking and crying, into the portal.

Sheogorath sighed, “Oh my. Well I still have to solve this little problem here, don’t I. Damn it. Alright, WABBAJACK!” Barus unfroze, and Sheogorath now appeared far from his reach before the gate leading into the Imperial Market District. His portal opened behind him as a servant beckoned from it, “Sire! Sire! My lord! Where are you? You must come back!”

Sheogorath became infuriated, “I tell YOU when to do something, NOT the other way around, slave! Aaaaaaaagh, fine! WABBAJACK!”

In a flash Sheogorath was gone as fast as he had came, and in place of the would-be-Champion were a series of foreigners, soon to be on a journey for stolen fame.

I am about 3 weeks to a month away from being able to start this- unlike most before me, I am more than willing to put in the work to make this work.

I have figured out combat, most of the map and travelling, and only have the beasts and the main quests to lay out.

Beneath this post I will place my "rules" as far as character creations go. For now it is simple-

Anything that is Pathfinder, that I can find/ read for free, YOU can use :) I do not care if you make your own race, but I will need to clear it / discuss it via PM as I work on finishing up this massive damn project.

Consider these first few weeks a testament to your interest- I'm more than willing to still hear ideas, questions, etc. on the game

It doesn't *really* matter how many players there are but for the sake of easement to myself, I'd prefer a maximum of 6, though fewer is definitely my goal :P

Welcome to Pathfinder: The Elder Scroll Series , and let the recruiting begin!

Have you ever wanted to expand on Oblivion? Oh yes I know Skyrim is the newest one, but let us recall the series of bacta fodder that was certain parts of the game that made your heart drop-

If You have not played it, idk what to tell you :P:

1) No payment for the campaign???

2) Campaign can be beat at level 2???

3) Seriously Umbra?

4) NOOOO LUCIEN

5) NO control over thieves in thieves guild or fighters in fighter's guild or assassinations that are real and immersive in the Dark Brotherhood? WHAT?

But what if this one told you.... That the Hourglass of Time has come to Pathfinder? That somewhere, not in the immediate future, a Homebrew Pathfinder PbP of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was coming?

The thing is though, I've never GM'd before, but the SECOND this idea hit me, I knew to go to Painlord and see what they said. And they said the one point that of course I ignored in the freakin' guide I read 10x before I sent him a message-

Ask for help ;)

SO-

The map will be difficult, but it can be done. Almost everything that isn't the mechanics is laid out for me-

What I'm having a hard time deciding is should I force Pathfinder Mechanics INTO Oblivion and say screw it, or make my own races/classes/skills for Oblivion Pathfinder and put in the extra work?

I don't mind it either way, but I'd like some advice from other PbP'ers

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: This is NOT a recruitment thread ;) There will be plenty of slots when it is done, but this is going to take a *while* to create. I'm a new GM, so I'm paranoid. This is a HUGE fusion between these two RP styles, so I'm going to take my time. I'm probably going to redo skills, races, classes, inventory-

This is not coming to you "soon" as in within the next week <3

All help and tips and ideas and hey, if you think you can do it faster and better, creations are welcome!!!

Welcome!

I am *extremely* new to the whole D and D *Pathfinder* scene, but I absolutely love it. I've done a few 4 hour treks/ dungeons over Google Chat with a few friends and I want to nerd out completely with this stuff.

I *have* read the CRB and APG since those are free, and these are my questions

1) Where can I go to know as much as possible before I go into a Play by Post game? I'm a noob, and I do NOT like wasting people's online time with "Omfg is he serious?" questions :)

2) If I only "own" what is available on the basic pathfinder website, can I still play in pretty much any "quest" being done in Play by Post games, or do I *have* (emphasis on have) to buy a few things?

3) How do I join a PbP game? FAQ's or just some basic "For Noobs" sheets should satisfy this part for me.

Aside from that, make way, as Sazar the Orator loves being a mfin' BARD ;)

*thank you for any help given*
