Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 .......

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

IRL I'm not a sun-bard, so I'll say it

1) Wooh! Thanks for the good rolls Sarenrae, but ALSO

2) This gelatonous jell-o cube is a *biiii*tch

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris follows her flute with her bow as she takes aim after the cube May Sarenrae continue to guide my arrow as she does my music

Performance: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Performance/Flute: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Iris, now knowing her enemy, runs to be in the center of the group so they all can hear her flute playing throughout the cavern, as loud as she can while keeping a tune Inspire Courage +1, I believe I have 3 rounds left, will check later

Sarenrae will keep you all protected from paralysis... Please- destroy it as I distract it!

My faith in Sarenrae... Will be rewarded.

Please all add +1 to your rolls !

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris quickly attempted to move out of the path of the cube while yelling Quickly! To the sides of the cavern!

Knowledge(Nature): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 ugh
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris keeps Light on her Scimitar as she continues to hurry towards Janira with the group I've called on you so much today, Sarenrae, but please.... keep helping us!

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

F*!+ you Sarenrae

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris gave a shy giggle to Satsu as she replied with blushed cheeks Why... Sarenrae? Hmmm.... I don't know. To me, in Osirion, it didn't appear to be a question of why. Sothis was so beautiful, its people in the area so masterful- and they have Sun Bards just as I had crafted my skill in music. Sarenrae's light simply touched me-

She keeps me pure despite my involvement in The Exchange- she will ensure I use my exchanges between others to remain pure and good, philanthropical. She is my Dawnflower, and I her Sun-Bard.

Iris gave a smile and a nod to Satsu as she finished with yet another giggle I suppose.... that's kind of an answer, he he.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Screw it

Iris dashes forward and moves in on the first Zombie on the right with her lit sword

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

-_-

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris stands by Regnel quietly, keeping her lit sword ahead to increase their fields of vision.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

After a silent blessing of Sarenrae over her now re-drawn Scimitar Light on Scimitar Iris recognizes the voice of Janira Gavix

Did you all hear that? That's Janira. Sarenrae, guide us!

Iris peered around for any possible way that might lead the group to Janira-

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

FINALLY

And moves in that direction immediately with haste and hand waving to the others.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Already have my move up for round three! If the thing dies, don't worry, I'll change it xD

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Round 3

Iris ends her flute's performance, instead drawing her bow on the remaining Kobold

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Round 2 Action

Iris continued her praise of Sarenrae through her flute
Performance/ Flute: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Afterwards, she cast Flare DC 12 after the second Kobald with a quick mutter Sand in your eye, bow down to Sarenrae.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris closed her eyes for only a moment, wishing that she had left her Scimitar lit up, before pulling out her flute and fore-going all stealth I believe I've only used 1 performance round so far?

She played the flute as a praise and call on Sarenrae to boost the others

Performance/ Inspire Courage +1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

The flute was synched with her as she played an upbeat almost warning call as her first performance on the flute.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris whispered to the others
Anyone see anything? I've got no luck, and don't want my scimitar to reveal us to anyone else...

Though it may work against me, perception dc 15

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Before stepping forward, Iris sheathed her scimitar and let its light diminish so should could be hidden by what little light remained in the cavern unsure of the lighting but she has low-light vision

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Knowledge Rivers/Geography: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Iris would like to know, to the best of her knowledge, the peril of attempt to cross the river, the width of the river, and if there appear to be any enemies nearby

wow... or just tell me nothing... because what horrible rolls

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris resisted a curse as she re-lit up her scimitar, holding it up once more and went to take a closer look for the stream near Satsu I wonder if this is another place they pay homage to, these Gillmen.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris tried her best not to laugh, but yet again a giggle escaped You're crazy, Auryn.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris' voice became that of a mouse's as she quietly pointed out Auryn... I think we're going to be in here a while yet...

Kn. Geography: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris whispered to Satsu and Auryn just loud enough for Bregolas to hear, behind a shy hand and blushed cheeks with a smile and fluttering eyes He... tends to be always cranky, I think.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Ready to move on!

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris, after gently teasing Bregolas, hears of the man giving alms and realizes that may be what Uori was doing.

Letting the light gently fade from her scimitar, Iris walks and sits next to the gillman quietly, doing exactly as he does in silence.

Sometimes the silence got to her- as a Bard she prefered to worship in noise, surrounded in musical symphonies of her and other player's making; but this was a new experience, similar to the Sun-Clerics who taught her most of what she knew about The Dawnflower.

I wonder... if Sarenrae would breath life into this Gillman's dead god.... I wonder if they'd even want that.

Would like to know how the Gillman is feeling, if there are any signs of what is going on in the expressions Uori makes as he silently worships, and is wondering if she could, very quietly, ask him a question.

I'm assuming based on the current pace of the game that I can take a 20 - 1 on this?

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris blushed as she let out the tiniest of giggles

Elven:

I know- I was teasing. I apologize- the silence got the best of me.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris quietly taps on Bregolas' shoulder

Elven:

Ummm.... I would like to venture into the city, and you seem well armed... care to escort me while the others entertain themselves?

Iris can be seen speaking to Bregolas in Elven tongue, pointing towards the city with her still gleaming scimitar.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris will follow Bregolas to continue pestering him here or there- sorry, meant to say this earlier

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Knowledge Religion / Aroden: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Iris wants to relate to the Gillman as much as possible

The Exchange

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Love the back and forth with Bregolas xD

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris smiles and blushes at Bregolas Theives? I see money that I give to the poor as a way of healing. Some corrupt the gold, and some spend it wisely. Like a cleric who channels death instead of love, I spend my gold in love, not in selfishness.

It is the same goal- just a different plan.

Iris offers the cloak back to Satsu with a smile, letting Bregolas deal with the Gillman Here, ssh, I return this to you, as promised.

We have people that speak its language? Deciphering glyphs? What an amazing group. I am truly blessed to be with them all, and hopefully influence them, my dear Dawnflower.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris delicately took the cloak off of Satsu and put it around her own shoulders as she whispered Sarenrae, show me what this does. I have called your name so many times today, but please, grant me safety as I test this for the group. Protect me as your Sun-Bard amongst the Dawnflower Garden, with my flute that is yours in my right hand, and The Book that is Yours in my left hand.

Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris moved next to Satsu as they continued Um.. Satsu? Do you mind... if I try that cloak on, just for a moment? I promise I'll return it. The Exchange's Honor.

Iris made a small rubbing of imaginary coins sign with her thumb and pointer finger as she swore on The Exchange's honor to Satsu.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Yes I feel quite well, thank you Auryn. Iris' old blushed face returned as she kept her scimitar and its light raised wherever the group needed it.

Iris was sure to keep a steady eye on Satsu as he tried on the cloak.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

She fumbles with her "light" embalmed sword as she stands next to Floyd A death wish... No I... I just know where I will go, should I pass on. Sarenrae controls and guides all else- she gave me fortune to retrieve the bundle, and fortune to leap the cave's chasm. It is why I worship her once in the morning, once at night. Sarenrae is my Dawnflower, my scimitar's light. Faith, my new friend! Faith.

There was a slight skip in Iris' step- she was starting to warm up to the group- they had no idea, after all, what she'd been through in Osirion. She feared the great beasts there much more than the bottom of any hole.

She turned to Satsu Thank you for the healing- I knew you'd keep your word! We are a team, after all!

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris curtsies at the edge after setting down the blank, and, once again after ensuring she is prepared for the drop, waves her Scimitar to the group before sheathing it and dropping down to the bundle-

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Perception once in the hole: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

until there is a round of battle, Iris will keep "Light" on her Scimitar

Iris re-draws her scimitar, waving it around from the other side of the chasm to her new friends You see? Sarenrae guides me- The Dawnflower is quite useful in dark places...

As an answer to the question of there being something useful on the other side, Iris moved and let down the plank she spotted back when she had first landed, putting it down as straight and narrow as she could to the others.

After resting the plank down, Iris braced her sword as a torch with her other hand at the ready to bless it with the light of Sarenrae again and again.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris sheathes her glowing scimitar back against her body, and ensures the rest of her equipment is tightly put away as to not fall.

Iris turns to the group, a particular glance at Bregolas as she blushed, her hands fumbling in front of her I have some experience with these obstacles from Osirion's dunes and sands- let me see if I can make it.

Without another word Iris took a running start at the edge LEAP OF FAITH: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 I believe she made it???

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

What does my perception tell me about the width vs. depth of the "fall" of the hole in this cave?

Iris gently walks forward and emits a hand from under her robes, a single finger poking forward and running along the thick of her scimitar Sarenrae, show me the way please? Iris casts light in the cave on her scimitar

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Wow... Janira is so brave to have gone against the Minotaur... I wonder if I will be that powerful?

Iris gave a slight glance down as she fumbled with her hands in front of her, giving a darted and gentle look at Bregolas every few words in response Don't worry- you'll see that it is more important for me to be the Light of Sarenrae, than for She to be my light. Though I doubt you see much difference.

That... Yes. That should be enough. I gave Sarenrae a good note right there. I showed my appreciation, I played for her, I did my worship. Now to move forward with my own fire...

But, you are right... Umm... is everyone ready for the cave?

Iris reveals from underneath her silver robes and chasuble a scimitar, and re-braces her massive quiver of arrows around her shoulder as she finishes her sentence.

It is clear that, unlike during conversation, her hands do not fidget around the pommel of the blade at all.

Once inside the cave for these rolls

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Bardic Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Wow

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Survival: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4

I'm alright, thank you Satsu. Iris gave a slight bow as she then turned to Janira Thank you as well- you can see my reason for my praise of Sarenrae. I was lucky to have not fallen to the swarm while we healed Floyd.

Iris shot a surprisingly witty look at Bregolas as she finished her sentence before returning to her blush.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Ooooooh, no I meant it as my Round 3 move. Just seemed neater than me posting my round 3 action while everyone else is on Round 2 xD

No, I'm doing nothing secretly, just providing an unjumbled looking move set to the GM for what I'm doing and no one reacts off of me, since I'm a round a head.

I.e. I have time to post when I need to post for the next 4 days, so the spoilers will disappear. But on Saturday if I know, no matter what, what my next move is, it'll be in spoilers to keep it "tight" xD

has this been throwing people off? x_x if so, sorry!!!

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Iris will keep her move to stun the Bugs, but I will add the free action of moving back 5 feet to my Round 2 move

Round 3:

Iris stows away her flute in order to increase her healing powers after stunning the bugs. End performance

As she does so, she raises a hand in the air as the other Sun Bards taught her for healing Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Sarenrae, Cleanse those within your light's reach!

Iris is going to heal Floyd after moving the five feet back within his reach. I'm assuming that if Flare was successful, no AoO from the Bugs for moving back in to heal Floyd

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

1. DAMN IT xD well that makes it easier to do cool things for sure xD

2. Perfect-o <3

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

1) Floyd I can always "spark" the gunpowder, too, if no one wants to risk the acrobatics roll to throw their torch

2) Are the BUGS multiple, or considered 1 unit? I.e. GM does my Flare dazzle the "group" of BUGS, or just 1 of the little suckers?

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris' face lights up as she plays, every note a testament to her Sarenrae

Performance/ Flute: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

As she plays a hand flicks back and forth, then casting flare at the bugs before the group.

Sarenrae guides my hand, her light protects us all! She yells quietly with the group's best interest at heart.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Round 2 Move:

Iris cries out as Floyd takes damage- right after she had lit his torch, too.

Sarenrae, protect your servant and my company!

Pulling out her flute, Iris calmed her heart rate as she played- even in battle it was a requirement to treat her performance and calling of Sarenrae's blessing as a form of worship.

Inspire Courage/Performance/Flute: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Unsure of when I will be able to post tomorrow

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Move after Bugs move:

Iris stands her ground with a grin Sarenrae is the goddess of flame, Bregolas. You may come to respect the Dawnflower after all.

In one hand Iris draws out her flute, while the other she casts spark on Bregolas' torch to light it as quickly as possible.

Knowledge(Nature): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Iris would like to know about this current area, and the bugs coming their way if possible

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

pending BUGS action to determine move

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Not being able to worship in the morning left the Sun Bard uneasy, but as her hand flexed round her ankh in one and holy book in the other, she calmed herself slightly at the thought of the end goal- and that was the possibility of bringing a whole new group of people to the love and embrace of The Dawn Flower Sarenrae.

I... must accept the rush. I have nothing I need to buy, Janira.

She would have to make do with healing the group with what she had left through the power of Sarenrae and charity.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

From Google, Bregolas xD

No, Bregolas. But... After a few years in Osirion, I'm afraid my Osiriani is much better than either my common or my elvish.

She bowed her head ever so slightly towards Bregolas and, he could have sworn, she blinked at him before turning towards the rest of the group.

As the group begins to assemble and move under Janira, Iris tapped her gently on the shoulder

Janira- I assume you will be waking early before the rest of the group each morning? If so, would you also wake me? I already did them today, but, when able and willing, I must make a dedication to Sarenrae each morning as the sun rises.

The Exchange

Female Half-Elf Bard 1

Iris gave a gentle whisper to Bregolas Fierceleaf along with a red cheeked giggle behind her holy book

ويوضح الغناء لماذا لا تتمتع الشمس بارد ، ولكن ، وأعتقد أنني سوف تغير رأيك حول آلهة .

Elvish:

Your singing explains why you don't enjoy a Sun Bard, but, I think I'll change your mind about the Goddess sooner or later.
