I know I don't usually post in this forum, but since it concerns my favorite setting:Silver Games is running a Kickstarter to convert the Everglow campaign setting to D&D 5th Edition. There was a prior product that was a barebones conversion, but this is to do a full version of the book for 5th Edition. It's already funded and reached the first stretch goal, which is to convert the Griffons book. Next goal is to convert Tribes of Everglow, which further fleshes out the ponykind tribes.

Why am I such a fan of the setting? Mostly because it's such a weird and fantastic place. Not just ponies, but griffons, purrsians (winged cats with a very Arabian Nights feel), and phoenix wolves (descendants of hellhounds some crazy pony managed to purify). I like that it's a setting where it's bright. Yes, there are some terrible things that happened (the war on the Tribe of Bones and the fate of the shortleg tribe) but it's not a hopeless mess of grimdark.

I know it's a mess because I'm in the middle of rebuilding it for a new game. We're starting at level 3, 20 point buy, 2 traits, 3000 gold. I'm also looking for advice on picking a weapon and armor plus other bits of equipment.

I know I want to grab Fox Shape. I'm also taking Vanishing Trick as her first ninja trick.

I know there are some other people who are fond of this setting, so I'm going to link the newest Kickstarter-Ponyfinder: Forgotten Past. It's going to touch on some of the pre-Empire history of Everglow, which I'm looking forward to.

I'm looking for advice on building a waves oracle. Some idea of what spells to pick and what equipment might be useful would be appreciated.

Okay, this is gonna paint me as a total beginner. But equipment kind of baffles me. Has anyone written a newbie FAQ/guide to picking equipment? (Why it's the thing that gives me so much trouble...)

I'm preparing to app for a pbp, and I could use some advice. I know I want to be a Kitsune Ninja, and I want to grab the Fox Shape feat when I can. (I want to be super sneaky and being able to take on fox form amuses me too much to pass it up.) It's a 15 point buy, and I can only have one trait. I'm not looking to be super optimized, I just don't want to be useless.
