I noticed we have a couple of players new to pbps so I thought I'd share a really useful post on pbp stuff. Every GM is a little different but there's a lot of really good advice there.

One related question is, how long does it take me to summon?

Strictly as written it's a standard action, because that's the rule for SLAs, but JJ has written that it is the intention be for it to take 1 round.

As a quick note, I have the First Worlder archetype. Means I have a ~ 1/2 powered Eidolon, and use the Nature's Ally list instead of the Summon Monster list, and don't get the extended duration on my summons but in exchange I can summon creatures while my Eidolon is out.

Lots of characters don't have day jobs so I wouldn't worry about it too much. If its something you want to do, you can freely retrain any part of your character until you play at level 2+ (although not during a scenario, so it won't help you this time)

Sparkle Weave steps forward, not quite sure of what's going on ahead begins another summon.

Soarkle Weave makes his way though the mist and casts guidance on Orin.

Sparkle Weave will draw his wand and tap himself.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Concentration: 1d29 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Sparkle Weave will lose his new summoning spell.

The Eagle will poof as well. I'll go away at the beginning of my turn anyway.

I'll sacrifice 4 hp to keep Orin around at full health. Putting me at 7/11 and Orin at 4/4.

Not really being able to see what's going on Sparkle Weave will finish summoning an eagle into the space where Orin is attacking. On top of Ledford.

Eagle full attack:
talons: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 44

Sparkle Weave turns to his Eidolon: "Calm down before I send you home. I'm sure it'll wear off soon enough."

Too bad Orin is way better at sense motive than I am at bluff.

A flute would help, but I'll see what I can do.

Sparkle Weave cast guidance on himself and will then attempt to coax the snake to leave peacefully.

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
