No worries. Hope everything turns out okay on your end.
"I can't believe its already over." Sorin breathes a sigh of regret. "Not that I don't enjoy a good fight every now and then, but festivals are rare enough I was hoping to enjoy this one a bit longer."
"How can we be of assistance?" Sorin is a bit offput by the law coming to bother him in the middle of festivities, but he's not about to piss him off. He wonders if the Sherriff is coming out of sincere need or just wants less work.
DM only: A look of shock crosses over Sorin's face.
Then the grin, that mischievious fun-loving grin. He chuckles quietly into closed hand and nods to Faunra. "Don't worry, I don't kiss and tell. No harm in enjoying someone's company after all. Our relationship can resume from before last night, with you being a friendly face and me enjoying the festival."
Sorin gets up and excuses himself, and joins Faunra should she wish to speak in private.
"Just ordered something, but some toasted bread might be nice for sandwiches." Sorin does another morning stretch. "Things are great, but I'm excited for what the festival holds today. Hopefully no more goblin attacks, but I'm not sure if their are any events going on."
DM only:
Sorin extricates himself from Faunra, and places the blanket back over her sleeping form. He gently brushes her hair from her face, and gets off the bed. He dresses, and washes his face with the pail of freshwater supplied in the morning. On to breakfast then. He gives Faunra a quick kiss on the forehead, careful not to stir her. He wonder's down to breakfast, wondering what Faunra might like to eat when she awakens.
"Morning all," he greets as he comes down to the eating room. He calls for a quick order of some bread, salted meats, and perhaps some fresh fruit before sitting down to join them as he waits for his order."Everyone had a good night?"
Meanwhile upstairs...: The only indication of the activities taking place within Sorin's room (did he get his own room?) is the gentle rattling of the loose doorknob.
Faunra/DM: Sorin is happy for some conversation. He imagined a night chatting with friends, but with no one showing up anytime soon he was happy for the company. "A bit of company on a cold night would do us both good I think." he responds to Faunra's question.
"It seems everyone has their own business to take care of...Perhaps I'll distract myself with music and a stranger's company."
Sorin bursts into the tavern and cries loudly, "Works done, festivals back on! Someone get me, these fine gentlemen," he spots Ariza, "And the little one a drink!"
I...uh...work at a restaurant as I pay for college. Not really that far along in life as I expect you guys are. Still planning on moving to a bigger city when finished with education.
Not Ariza as well: Satisfied with a job well done, Sorin is eager to get back to the tavern, and hopefully the festivities as well. Getting stuck in a goblin raid was not what he had in mind when he left home.
I've got your back, Rak." Sorin moves to help Rak with his "burden" and they go off to find someone to look after the little guy. "I must admit Rak, with the damage these wee ones have caused, I wouldn't be surprised if they told us to off him."
"Can we not say that name outloud so much?" Soren wasn't a squeamish man, but he shifted uncomfortably at the very vivid name of "Ripnugget." He had been cocky a few times to almost detrimental effects, and it was enough to make him respect other men's "baskets" as a rule of honor. In short, you can kill a man with so much of a whim, but do not play with his sack. In any case, Sorin does not really approve of threatening the nether regions.
I have yet to find a significant other, but when I do, I hope she'll play roleplaying games with me.
Sorin leaves Ariza to interrogate the little one. "Goblin attacks common around here?" he asks the attacked man.
"Don't torch the little guy just yet Ariza!" We need some info!" Sorin was more than a bit uncomfortable with the thought of what the goblin might have to go through if she set him aflame.
"I don't know about you guys, but when we get back to the tavern I'm ordering several drinks."
Another two attacks, if one attack does the trick, move up to flank and strike for the 2nd.

So DM, think I could switch over to swashbuckler for party balance? I could you details on build if you'd like.
Swashbuckler's don't get sneak attacks, rather they have panache points to do cool stuff. when I built Sorin, it was mostly to fill the void as a rogue, but I can accomplish a decent melee rapier fighter that ducks and dodges rather than tanks. What say you DM, mind a bit of a character modification?
As for our lacking tankiness and melee, I've given it some thought and, if you guys don't mind, I'd be willing to reword Sorin as a swashbuckler. I get to keep most rouge like goodness and gain a sort of deft tankiness as well. Thoughts?
Sorin follows, a star knife in each hand, but moves quietly with the rest, sticking to cover when he can.
"Too bad we couldn't intervene earlier. Sad to see someone lose a foot at such a lively event." He takes the potion from Rak with a smile. "I'll try not to leave myself expose next time." Sorin moves to Father Zantas and shakes his hand. "Are there injured among you? I wouldn't mind parting with this bottle if there's someone at death's door." He looks back to the others. "I hope you all don't mind."
still haven't found time to look over rogue bruiser idea, but will hopefully get to it by the weekend.
Sorin examines his now closed wounds. Finding himself back to full health, he examines the dead goblins around him looking for anything of value or clue to where they came from. After taking what he can, he jogs over to meet his comrades. "Everyone doing alright?" He turns to the newcomer. "You have my thanks, wasn't sure if I'd hold out if you didn't come along."
Sorin swipes with an attack.

It might not be a bad idea to take a level in fighter though, I'll look into it.
Sorin gets a stupid idea.
If that's not enough to drop him, He swings with other blade.
If the first attack was enough, Sorin moves towards Denche but stay two spaces away so the Goblin would provoke an attack of opp. if it moves to engage him.
"I got this one!" Sorin spins both starkinves and mmakes two quick slashes across the goblin's form.
Yeah, I planned for Sorin to be a mid range fighter doing the classic rogue bit of sneak attacks and flanking. He could stab and he could throw-stab. But yeah, this concept takes off when Sorin gets more knives, the quick draw feat, and maybe that one belt that let's knives return to him. I went with rogue to get some skills that would be useful, I wouldn't mind speccing to be a bruiser of sorts. What do you guys think?
So was I right about two weapon fighting?
As for changes, one thing that may help is posting a mini-stat block in each combat post. its handy to know where everyone else is at stat wise and I only mention it because I can't remember how much HP I'm at. lol
I think the battles are progressing smoothly. As for the dual wielding, With Two weapon fighting, I get a -2 to each weapon. But doesn't weapon finesse kick in and give me +4 dex to hit with each weapon?
Sorin, moves deftly, and attacks once with each weapon.
Sorin draws his reserve star knife and moves up to Denche to cover him. As he used to move actions, one to draw, one to move, he can't attack.
"Ow, ow, ow." Sorin doesn't look to good, swaying on his feet, about to fall over. Still, if his previously thrown star knife is somewhere close where he can go pick it up, he'll do that. He readies an action to throw a starknife if any goblin moves within 30 feet of him.
Damage if needed
Sorin will take a five foot step so he is flanking with Rak. He then attacks again, hoping to finish the goblin off. If already dead, Sorin will just attack the other goblin next to him.
Sorin manuveurs around the closest goblin, and strikes at it with the starknife he hadn't thrown yet.

Hi!! So I'm still learning all the ins and outs of society play, and I'm looking at doing something for one of my two character ideas with the net, but I'm worried about its hardness and hit points. At home this would be something I would ask my DM, but is there any way to make or get items with stronger materials somehow in society play? Thank you!!
