Thankful to see one of the porachas finally come to its senses, Soddy moves to assist the Veiled Lady once again. Producing yet another vial, she practically shoves it into the Veiled Lady's mouth.
"Drink up! It's good for you!"

Jiggo's Call to Reason Doesn't Work:
Though concerned about the Veiled Lady, Soddy realizes that they'll be safer, quicker, if they can get the porachas to calm down.
"Hey! Most of us are creatures of nature too, just like you! We want to help this place, not hurt it! Please, stop fighting!"
Call to Reason vs. Red (Nature):1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
"Oh...whatever's wrong, it's got a hold on them something fierce," Soddy laments as she hurriedly trundles over to the Veiled Lady.
______________
Since I didn't declare this earlier, Soddy's basic daily infused item (6) prep:
Alchemist's Fire x2
Cheetah's Elixir
Elixir of Life x2
Smoke Ball
The above is subject to change as new information is acquired; if it's looking Cloudy with a Chance of Zombies, she'd bring some bottled sunlight, for example. And if caught out by something, I guess that's what the versatile vials are for :)
"Telling them that we come in peace might work," Soddy suggests as she takes stock of the many ingredients and vials in her possession. "I've read about that tactic in books, you know. Or um, maybe telling them that we'd like to help, if they have a problem they need help with. That usually goes over pretty well too, from what I've seen and read!"
"Yes, snowy times are good sleepy times," Soddy agrees with Eddie as she takes in the sight of Hokkōshi and all the stranded travelers. "So many fleshys! And so many gloomy faces. Hopefully we can learn useful things from some of them."
Most of Soddy's kit at this time is healing/utility type stuff but she'll definitely prep a few alchemist's fires to try and help share the offensive load :)
"Bye, nice to meet you!" Soddy calls as Amiri makes a hasty exit. Turning to Eddie, she happily shakes hands. "Hello! My name is Soddy-Daisy. Tomorrow I might be someone else, but Soddy-Daisy is who I am today."
"The Forest of Spirits is home to lots of beautiful things but also lots of dangerous things! Bandits, oni, wild animals, fey...and if things get really out of whack, even the kami and nature spirits that live there might become aggressive."
When Amara calls for any further questions, Soddy's hand shoots into the air. "Oh! You think this might've started three weeks or so ago, do you know if anything strange or unusual happened in that area around that time or maybe a little bit before?"
"Amiri-With-Two-Ayes, I'm not a pet," Soddy remarks, either not recognizing the unintended insult or perhaps choosing to ignore it. "I'm a leshy. Now Hudson here, he's a pet."
She holds up the small rock she's been carrying around.
"Nice to meet everyone," Soddy nods, offering a viney hand to any and everyone that wants a shake. "You can call me Soddy, if you want," she adds with a nod at Bun. "Sometimes a shorter name is easier. A name like Gloria Gladys Grace Gabrielle Gardenia Glenda Gale is all fine and well but by the time you've managed to get through it all, they've already been snatched up by the tiger you were trying to warn them about!"
Soddy seems happy to see another leshy arrive for the party and tilts her head slightly as Krinolyn introduces herself. "Veiled Lady? Is there a story there?"
Okay, I think I'll bring my alchemist for this one! Believe I've got her all updated to Remaster but bear with me, it's been a bit since I've played her...
not bugtussle? :)
Thought about it, but decided I'd go with Soddy for a little more group variety! Don't worry though, I still love my cactus-with-a-gun and look forward to finding more adventures for him to get into soon(ish) ;)
The sound of something coarse scraping against wood is enough to draw one's attention to the small being that currently sits reading at a nearby table. About the size of a halfling and made entirely of vines and leaves, twisted into a humanoid shape - a leshy. An especially large cluster of leaves forms a rudimentary face, with two round eyes, a small hole for a mouth, and no nose to speak of. Framing the face are several daisies, twisted into the vines and leaves of the leshy's body, bobbing gently with each of the creature's movements. They wear few clothes aside from some studded leather armor and a large floppy sunhat which rustles as they look up from the book they'd been reading.
"Hello! My name is Soddy-Daisy," she explains as she sets her book on the table next to a small rock. "Tomorrow I might be someone else, but Soddy-Daisy is who I am today."
