Vardarel summons a spectral longbow and shoots the rot and the ooze with the bow. The ooze gets hit but ...
GLOOP!
It quickly forms a clot that lessens the damage caused by the arrow.
EDIT: Overlooked the text in Spiritual Armament that allows Spirit Damage if it's worse for the creature. So it doesn't gloop.
Vardarel also attempts to put one of his arrows into the rot monster, but misses.

Stitch's anger galvanizes him as he redirects Urwal's energy at the ooze, incinerating it.
COMBAT OVER
The dragon slumps down into a more restful state, and while the wounds on her hide remain open, they stop oozing purple fluids. Over the course of the next hour, the fungal blooms along Jadirahx also dissipate. It takes a few minutes before the dragon is ready to converse, but Jadirahx honors her word.
The immense green dragon Jadirahx attempts to stand tall as she begins. "In the ancient days of the cyclopes, many of their kind fell into the worship of demons. These worshippers served the demon lord Urxehl, the master of storms and father of trolls. They attempted to summon Urxehl onto Golarion, but the coming of Earthfall stopped their efforts."
The dragon wheezes for a few moments before continuing. "My ancestors guarded the Finadar Forest for ages, though the corruption that overcame me diverted my attention from the legacy of those demon worshippers. Your society’s stumbling into Min-Khadaim unleashed an ancient spirit—one instrumental in the rituals to summon forth Urxehl."
"This spirit now roams the world freely, possessing the body of one of your own. I have monitored this through one of my many relics, scrying the spirit’s actions as best I can. Though it hides the full extent of its schemes from me, I have caught glimpses of the body the spirit possesses. The body is known to you as Drandle Dreng."
Urwal is immediately startled by the revelation. He swears you to secrecy on this information as he plans to contact his superiors about these events. "Drandle Dreng is a well-known venture-captain within the Pathfinder Society, and that this information also outs him as being one of the members of the Society’s leadership, the masked Decemvirate. Such startling news could send panic throughout the Society, so please keep this information secret for now."
Jadirahx continues, "I understand that Dreng is of some importance to you. Though his form seems to be entirely combined with that of the corrupting spirit, his will yet remains underneath. He cannot save himself, but take heart—he is not beyond rescue. To purge the demonic force, you must call upon the aid of a spiritbinder of considerable skill. I have seen the children of the godcallers of old walking these forests. Perhaps they can show you the way."
She then requests that you return to your base camp and move to stop the spirit. She promises to relay what information she can, though she doesn’t expect to take part in the coming battles as she needs time to recover from the years of torment her body has endured. You and Urwal return to the Pathfinder base camp. Urwal immediately confers with his fellow leaders and promises to contact you soon, with a new mission to begin hunting down the possessed Drandle Dreng!

Thanks for playing!!

You can pretty much RP your outros... while we transition to the next adventure :)
Upon returning to the Pathfinder base camp, Blackberry demands Clover help him replant the bushes she fireballed way back when... :)

Vardarel's Society (T): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
The battle done, Vardarel spends a little time retching before he feels alright. Fortunately it takes Jadirahx some time to recover from the ritual as well.
Vardarel is startled at the news of Drendal Drang, but not at all surprised that Urwal swears the group to secrecy about the information.
Vardarel has heard of Nelket the god caller and Dolok Darkfur of the Farheaven Clan. “Does this spirit seem aware that we will be needing the aid of the Farheaven Clan? Do you have a name for this spirit?”

"The forest will not lose to corruption. The guardian will continue her duty."
Society: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
The rush of battle clouds her judgement, and she is more keen on summoning her sister. And giving her a hug.
Khiari is surprised. "Uh... we won?" She turns to Bella's teammates. "I assume it was a close one. Meat Wagon's toppled over. Bella has a nasty wound. But the monsters are gone, and the dragon seems to be recovering." Then she returns the hug. "Good to see you too, sis."
Bella regains her stiff composure and waits for the dragon to live (and the team to recover, but she won't say that out loud.)
"The demon. It infected the centaur we met earlier. I fear what may have happened to Dreng. But as you can see, we do not leave our allies to perish."
She turns to Vardarel. "The Farheaven Clan? We must seek them out."
Finally she bows to the dragon. "Lady Jadirahx. Thank you for this information. With your assistance we are able to stop this demon before it can rise."

Shaking his fist one last time at the incinerated ooze Stitch's shoulders slouch wearily as he trudges back towards the up-ended Meat Wagon. He tugs annoyingly at the heavy breast plate under his mechanic's apron. "I've got to fix Meat Wagon before anything else seizes up, it should only take a minute."
He pulls out his tools and gets to some quick repair work.
Craft: Repair vs DC20?: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 3130 = 30
I believe with crafter's eye piece crit repair checks are 25hp per proficiency rank.. so 50hp there? Good enough.
It doesn't take long for Meat Wagon's engine to sputter back to life, quickly rolling itself back upright.
Stitch works on his own wounds and anyone else's that needs them while they listen to the dragon's story.
"You mean to tell me Drandle is really a demon spirit?" He nods in agreement with Vardarel's information.
Society DC15: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
"You really think they'll send us on this job? Sounds a bit... high tier if you ask me." He starts to cast some doubts to his own abilities after some pretty poor showings lately.

“Possessed by one was my understanding.”

"If we are not up to the task, then it is our responsibility to find those who are!" Bella snaps back to Stitch. "And if no one is available, then we will train until we are ready."

Khiari Sidare, eidolon |

Khiari peers at Meat Wagon as Stitch is making repairs. "Is... uh... is... Meat Wagon dead?"
Khiari juggles with the concept for a minute. Do golems die? Do automata die? Do they reincarnate? Wait, people from this Universe DO NOT reincarnate upon death. Probably. Except the Samsarans. Well, they're aware of it. Did Dad die? Is the Rose Witch helping him reincarnate?
Khiari is so lost in her thoughts she fails to notice the belch of smoke from Meat Wagon blasting into her face until it's too late.
"Ugh... I'm going to need a long bath to get this out. Good to see you too, Meat Wagon..."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a different group of heroes is gathering at the Three Gates Lodge in Minkai, waiting to see Venture Captain Amara Li.
Silver Bark, Golden Blades
The lodge is lovely, with a spare beauty and the understated design of the Minkai aesthetic. As you all come forward, it's the perfect time to introduce yourselves.
And the perfect time to fill out Macros and RPG Chronicles!

![]() |

"Amazing..." A short middle-aged redheaded man slowly creaks the door to the lodge.
A a grey-skinned woman darts in front of him, her bat-like wings neatly folded so they don't catch air and slow her down. Her shoulder blades have a small nest of bird like feathers, growing and spreading out, and shedding.
She takes a moment to scan. "Looks safe." She turns back to the man, only to run her hands through his poofy curly hair. Then she falls back to match his shadow.
"Hello there. I'm Jiggo Maeleranti." The man offers a polite handshake. "Or should I bow? I'm not overly familiar with the customs here. Ustalav is different."
He looks back to the woman following him, and she eventually relaxes a bit and curtsies with the grace of a noblewoman. "Sal'era." She takes a step back.
"Sorry. Sal'era is always cautious around strangers."

![]() |

A small rabbit enters the room and gazes in awe at the beauty of the lodge. He carries a pack on his back, as well as a fairly large gun...
"Oh, are you one of the Pathfinderth that I'm thuppothed to meet here? I'm Bun Helthing, at your thervith."
His large incisors give him a pronounced lisp.
"Thalera. Nithe to meet you. May I call you Thally?"

The sound of something coarse scraping against wood is enough to draw one's attention to the small being that currently sits reading at a nearby table. About the size of a halfling and made entirely of vines and leaves, twisted into a humanoid shape - a leshy. An especially large cluster of leaves forms a rudimentary face, with two round eyes, a small hole for a mouth, and no nose to speak of. Framing the face are several daisies, twisted into the vines and leaves of the leshy's body, bobbing gently with each of the creature's movements. They wear few clothes aside from some studded leather armor and a large floppy sunhat which rustles as they look up from the book they'd been reading.
"Hello! My name is Soddy-Daisy," she explains as she sets her book on the table next to a small rock. "Tomorrow I might be someone else, but Soddy-Daisy is who I am today."

Salera, the Reformed |

Sal'era shuffles her left foot slightly as she controls her tail. "Sal'era, Salera, Sal, or Era are fine. Don't call me Sally. Or Thally."
Jiggo lightly nudges her with his elbow.
"...please." She grins.
Jiggo continues shaking hands (or appropriate appendages) with Bun and Soddy-Daisy.

"Nithe to meet you, Thoddy-Daithy!"

![]() |

A small fungus leshy arrives, her face veiled that seems to be part of herself. She takes her time to breathe in the air of the lodge and exhales the same. I am Krinolyn 'Veiled Lady' Styncorn, by the way." she introduces herself.
She brings down her trident and shield before stretching her leathery body and retrieves them back to her person once she is satisfied with her stretching.

![]() |

"Nice to meet everyone," Soddy nods, offering a viney hand to any and everyone that wants a shake. "You can call me Soddy, if you want," she adds with a nod at Bun. "Sometimes a shorter name is easier. A name like Gloria Gladys Grace Gabrielle Gardenia Glenda Gale is all fine and well but by the time you've managed to get through it all, they've already been snatched up by the tiger you were trying to warn them about!"
Soddy seems happy to see another leshy arrive for the party and tilts her head slightly as Krinolyn introduces herself. "Veiled Lady? Is there a story there?"

"Isn't it obvious?" she chuckles that turns out to an unintentional but hearty snort. She then carefully raises her rubbery veil, a mesh-like barrier that seems to extend from her head, and reveals her old, soggy, lumpy face. She gives the leshy a grin that is full of confidence.
"A lady like me does not just reveal her face to anyone, you see," she tells Soddy-Daisy, though it seems more a reflection of her own personal belief than a statement of fact. "They call me the Veiled Lady for that very reason." she tells her as she returns the veil to cover the ugly details of her face.
"This veil," she continues, "is more than just a covering. It is a symbol, a shield, and a test. Those who see beneath it must earn that privilege. I am rarely asked about my moniker. Well, it is better to show it than to tell, right?"

![]() |

Bun looks curiously at the newcomer. "Well met, Veiled Lady. I am Bun Helthing. We look like a thtrange bunch..."

Soddy considers Krinolyn's explanation - and visual demonstration - for a moment and then nods.
"Makes sense. Thank you for humoring me."

You are escorted into a room with open windows and a view of the sea. There Venture-Captain Amara Li offers tea and dumplings as she prepares to brief you. She raises an eyebrow as she looks around at the leshies, the rabbit-poppet, the bat-winged woman and the red-headed man. "I think we're expecting one other as well." She rings a bell, and asks a tengu woman in a kimono, "Can you check to see if our last Pathfinder is here? Perhaps in the gardens somewhere?"

Massee's Pregen 2.0 |

A heavily cloaked and obscure humanoid wanders into the room, being led by the tengu woman.
I'm here, in some form that I haven't decided yet!

A sword as tall as the woman is strapped to her back as she flips off the hood and smirks "Amiri. With two eyes." She points to her own and then to Salera.

Salera, the Reformed |

Sal'era has a subtle smile. "Good to see you, Amiri." Jiggo shakes Amiri's hand and Sal'era grunts. "Hehe. You have quite a handshake."

Amiri turns to the tall folk and tries to whisper "You two have a lot of odd looking pets..."

"Amiri-With-Two-Ayes, I'm not a pet," Soddy remarks, either not recognizing the unintended insult or perhaps choosing to ignore it. "I'm a leshy. Now Hudson here, he's a pet."
She holds up the small rock she's been carrying around.

Bun looks insulted. "I am not a pet either! I am a Pathfinder! Maybe you'd like to be on the rethieving end of my arquebuth!"

"Now, now. It is not polite to murder my guests during tea-time. I believe that the appropriate time for duels is just after sunrise, but perhaps you might wait until after the mission is completed?" Amara Li raises a warning eyebrow at Bun.
“I need you to investigate something for me,” Amara Li says as she pours golden buckwheat tea into simple yet elegant cups. “Despite the vast and somewhat dangerous wilderness that surrounds it, the Spirit Road is the lifeblood of trade between Hongal and Minkai, and now it has been inexplicably blocked.” She pauses. “The Forest of Spirits is home to departed souls and kami, the spiritual guardians of the forest. Travelers through this region rarely dare to stray from the road for fear of offending either.”
She passes the cups along the table, and then continues. “Some merchants that I hired to transport goods to Hongal reported that a thick and disorienting fog laid across their route. One woman told me that she heard howling ghosts when she tried to enter, and another was bitten by relentless tiny teeth. The merchants soon found themselves leaving the fog where they had entered. Shaken by this experience, they turned around and reported back here.” Amara Li sighs. “There is another group of merchants who left from Hongal, and have not been seen since, and other merchants coming from Minkai have reported being unable to pass through. "
She pauses. "Are you all with me so far?"
