Sirani steps out of the corner, and attempts to blast the human man again.

Seeing no safe way away from the ulfen in front of him, Sirani fires off another blast at the one threatening him.

Sirani moves past his allies, and readies an electrifying jolt for the first enemy that approaches.

"I agree, Seltyiel. Perhaps he will be able to make more of these papers than we are."

"Excellent! Let's see if there are any answers for us behind this door."

"I'm sure it's just coincidence, but it does strike me as odd that they each died one year after the last. If they even existed in the first place."

Sirani draws an electric charge out of the air and sends a jot of electricity towards yellow.

"I don't believe we do. As much as I would hate to damage this place, we may need to break open the door."

Sirani frowns.

"He clearly expected people to snoop around his house, why else would he program an illusion to greet people at a window?"

He returns to the front door. "Are we certain the door is locked?

Sirani looks for any hazards, and attempts to open the door.

Sirani taps on the window gently, and holds up the strange coin for the gnome to see.

"Perhaps there is a less apparent way in? He is an illusionist, after all"

Sirani takes a quick look around the perimeter of the house, for any sign of activity or other entrances.

"A coin, quite unusual. I'm afraid I'm not able to provide any more explanation than that. Perhaps someone can view it from a more mystical lens."

Sirani takes a look at the coin.

"What an intriguing design. The letters did mention Bhopan. Perhaps the coin originates there? With luck we'll uncover more as we look into the missing gnome."

Sirani looks at his friends with confusion.

"Yes, please express your obviously superior thoughts."

"I have no preference. The mausoleum is just as good as the gnome's address."

"Do you recognize any of the names in the documents? They are not familiar to any of us."

Sirani looks around at everyone, making sure they are ok. "We have the wine. We could head return to the venture-captain now. Or come back with fire."

Sirani sees that everyone has escaped, and runs back into the cellar, pulling on the lever again to close the door.

Sirani runs through the swarm closer to the library, and fires off an electric blast at it.

"No bottle of wine is worth this," Sirani laments as he gathers a charge of electricity to toss at the swarm.

"I don't recognize any of these names. How long ago was this left here?"

"I'm not seeing what we are looking for either." Sirani replies, before turning to look at Yoko in her alternate form. "I see there are still things to learn about each other. A pleasure to meet another side of you, Yoko."

"Of course, we will not say a word about this, Sirani reassures their hostess, "But I must admit I'm a bit confused. What are we meant to do down here?"

"We did think ourselves well prepared at one point," Sirani answers, a bit ashamed of their hubris, "yet on our first assignment, a few of us came very close to the end. We were well prepared for a battle, but not so much the aftermath."

Sirani attempts to shift the conversation back to Aram's thoughts on the Society. "What do you feel we can do to restore the Society to what it once was?"

"Of course, it was a pleasure speaking to you. I hope your table appreciates the value of the wisdome you impart." Sirani smiles as Janira returns to her table.

He makes his way over to the reading merchant. "Aram bin Kaleel? I apologize for interrupting you if you would prefer to read alone, but I have heard that you are an excellent storyteller of your adventures."

"I joined the Society to see what the world has to offer, perhaps bring some new ideas or ways of thinking to my home. But recently, we've had experience with powers that would do harm. I suppose now I would like to assist in keeping an eye on such things."

"In fact, we're here on assignment," Sirani pauses to see her reaction before continuing, "We're here to pick up for a package. What does being a Pathfinder mean to you?"

"I don't believe there's a new pathfinder alive who doesn't know of the head initiate," Sirani laughs. "I am Sirani, and these are my friends. My apologies for listening in, your stories are very engaging."

Sirani approaches the table of Janira Gavix, eager to join in listening to the tales she is telling.

"Roran! I'm glad you could make it! We're here for an hour, may as well enjoy ourselves."

"I don't think this will take too long," Sirani comments as he walks up to the bar.

"Hello, would you by chance be Heryn Gale?" he asks the person tending bar, "I'm meant to pick up a package from her."

"Sure, we can pick up this package for you." Sirani replies politely, although disappointed the assignment isn't more adventurous.

Sirani smiles again. "Nothing to apologize for. I'm also eager to get back in the field. Truthfully, we haven't been traveling together long. We all met on our previous assignment, which was also our first. We almost lost a few of us when we were attacked by an ettin, but we managed to pull through."

"Sirani," the human says with a smile, "And I think I'd like to read this note before we go. Besides, we are still waiting for three others, I believe."

Sirani takes a look at the note.

A young Garundi man in pristine white, flowing clothing trimmed in golden ribbon hiding a chain shirt underneath is standing at a window as Yoko walks in, enjoying the view of the city.

"I don't suppose I'll ever get used to the grandeur of Absalom," he comments as he turns to address his friend, "We've been summoned by the Venture-Captain himself. I'm thinking he no longer doubts our capabilities. And I'm hoping this task will take us away from the city for a bit. I feel the need to move around once again."

"I think the question remains of why these people moved against you and Highdelve, and what does this ring that is so important to the cult do?"

Sirani looks at Aurelliax in awe, unsure what to do in a dragon's presence.

Finally, he settles on a bow.

"Sirani of Thuvia, at your service."

"Did our mystery tiefling do this to their own mother? We should bring her back as well, perhaps we can arrange the proper rites for her."

Sirani breathes a deep sigh of relief. "Is everyone still with us?"

He heads over to the woman to see what he can determine with his meager knowledge of medicine.

With Xildina back on her feet, Sirani charges up another ball of electricity and sends it crackling towards the ettin.

Seeing an opportunity to help a friend, Sirani quickly runs to Xildina's side, feeding her a potion of CLW

"Yes, please help us out by standing still"

Sirani fires off another electric blast.

Sirani gathers another charge of electricity to send towards the distracted giant.

Sirani nods at Grim in thanks as he takes another guarded step backwards, firing of an electrifying attack when at a safe distance.

Sirani steps back only once and drops into a Total Defense.

Sirani takes two guarded steps away from the giant.

Sirani fills his lamp with some oil and lights it. He waits for his eyes to adjust before continuing on.

Sirani drinks a second potion, and heads into the cave. "We have no more time to waste out here."
