Thanks a lot for running. This was a fun romp with an interesting cast of characters.

Hopefully, we can get this done

Athletics to patch the wall: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23

I still have a hero point, so if that doesn't succeed.
Athletics to patch the wall: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

Heartened by Krakazh music, Siddhartha works to seal the cracks in another wall

Athletics to plug cracks and stop water flow: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

with Othello's that is three checks, unless we can try again. Of course I couldn't roll this well in combat

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

Siddhartha will try to go upstairs and work on the cracks to slow the water.

Athletics to patch walls: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

same number as the climb. Is 25 enough?

Does that mean I can run upstairs and try to staunch the water from there? Can I athletics run up and either athletics to move stone to block the flow or crafting to try to fix the cracks?

Realizing I have done two attempts, can I climb up and try to block or divert the water flow above the books?

athletics to climb: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

something?

Earn Income:

Crafting: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Looks like I will need to try at least once more.

Crafting to try and save books: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

I believe I have a Hero Point left

Crafting to try and save books: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Based on Olnik's roll above, I am pretty sure that is a failure, though not critical, but there is nothing else I can do. I wish I had done them in the other order,

I have no confidence, but I'll try.

Crafting to try and save books: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Well, that went better than I expected. Sorry to be terse, but my wife is in the hospital.

I think that was the least pleasant musical theater I have ever attended. as he ties up the maestro.

A 10 minute refocus will bring my HP back to full and allow me to regain my Focus Point before we proceed.

Siddhartha can also use Crafting to dissemble the small parts, and can help with any necessary healing.

Oh well, no Attack of Opportunity, but he didn't sustain the spell, so I believe I have three actions now.

You Sir, need to get calmed down

◆ Stride to get around Black to Flank with Othello

◆ Flurry of Blows on Black (I'll use non-lethal, because as A Monk, I can)
First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 14 + 1 = 29
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2, 7) + 4 + 1 = 14

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 14 - 4 + 1 = 31
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (7, 4) + 4 + 1 = 16

I am pretty sure that is 46 Point of damage

◆ One more strike, just in case, still non-lethal
Third Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 - 8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 14 - 8 + 1 = 13
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6, 1) + 4 + 1 = 12

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

I don't think so, you sad excuse for a musician.

◆ Stride to get between Black and the Organ

Shove Black back away from the Organ, following if I am successful

Athletics to Shove versus Fort DC: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 13 + 1 = 32

10 Feet if that is a crit success, and shove says I can follow Black as part of the action.

Since he can't go straight back due to the Brownie and the wall, can I angle him to my right to get him further from the organ? Perhaps to where the X is? And I would follow to Y?

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

You cast a spell to make me laugh and you get offended when I laugh at you? You are not with it.

◆ Flurry of Blows on Black (I'll use non-lethal, because as A Monk, I can)
First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 14 + 1 = 18
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 + 1 = 9

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 14 - 4 + 1 = 23
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8, 5) + 4 + 1 = 18

◆ I'll try to Trip him this time, as I couldn't hit his Fort DC, so I will try Reflex

Athletics to trip versus Reflex DC: 1d20 + 13 + 1 - 10 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 1 - 10 = 9

Nope. Maybe I hit him once

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

Will Save DC 26: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

Looks like I am slowed 1 based on a failed will save, but not a critical fail.

◆ Step

◆ Flurry of Blows on Black (I'll use non-lethal, because as A Monk, I can)
First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 14 + 1 = 24
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5, 2) + 4 + 1 = 12

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes with Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 4 + 1 = 30
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit with Inspire Courage: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6, 6) + 4 + 1 = 17

I don't know why I feel like laughing, because you are not at all funny

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

Fortitude Save the First: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Fortitude Save the Second: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

I believe I will take the Counter Performance on the First Save, which I think passes for half damage. So between the two attacks it looks like I take another 27 damage

You are one nasty little man, aren't you? And a really lousy musician if I do say so myself.

◆ Step to the side

◆ Attempt to Shove the miscreant musician off the bench and away from the organ.

Athletics versus Fortitude DC: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
I think I have a Hero Point to reroll this

Athletics versus Fortitude DC, reroll: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

◆ Assuming that is a success, follow the five feet and shove again

Athletics versus Fortitude DC, Second Attack: 1d20 + 13 - 5 ⇒ (10) + 13 - 5 = 18

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

Fortitude save for half of 16 Damage, DC 24: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Will Save to avoid having to flee, DC 26: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

OK, so I take the full 16 Sonic Damage and get pushed back 15 feet, but pass the Will save so I don't have to flee.

Siddhartha takes the full force of the discordant sounds from the Organ. Then he steels himself and returns to the battle.

◆ Stride back up to the Organist

◆ Flurry of Blows
First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 8) + 4 = 13

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 14 - 4 = 24
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8

Using a Focus Point and Perfect Strike to reroll the first Attack
First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17

not much better. Let's try something interesting

◆ Grapple - Athletics check versus the Organist's Fortitude DC
Grapple Check: 1d20 + 13 - 10 ⇒ (14) + 13 - 10 = 17

Let's see if we can get you away from your toy, shall we?

Horizon Hunters

Male NG Half-Elf Garundi Monk 5 | HP 68/68 | AC 24/25/26 (24 Currently) |F: +11, R: +13, W: +11 | Perc: +11 | Speed 35ft | Focus Points: 1/2 |Ki Strike, Perfect Strike| Active conditions: None.

Let's see what happens when we get in close.

◆ Stride

◆ Stride

Will Save versus Sanctuary: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

◆ Flurry of Blows (assuming I pass the Will save)

First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (8, 7) + 4 = 19

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 14 - 4 = 18
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

And since I fail the will save I lose the action, all done

Siddhartha strides out of the darkness heading East.

We'll hit him from both sides

◆ Stride

◆◆ Long jump (attempting 25 foot long jump, striding up to the edge and attempting to long jump to the stairs on the other side

Athletics to long jump, DC 25: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

I left a trail of tkens to illustrate my path.

Thanks Krakazh, I'll give that tune a nine, with a good beat that is easy to dance to.

especially since the Inspire Defense was the only reason one of those Fists didn't hit.

◆ Step up toward Green

◆ Flurry of Blows, still in Tiger Stance, on Green

First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes plus Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 14 + 1 = 24
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 7) + 4 + 1 = 16

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes plus Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 14 - 4 + 1 = 15
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 + 1 = 13

◆ Third attack, because 20's happen
Third Attack using Tiger Claw Strikes plus Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 - 8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 14 - 8 + 1 = 15
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 + 1 = 13

Aren't these some big ugly ones? With horrible music for them to dance to.

◆ Adopt "Tiger stance" to do Slashing Damage

◆ Step up toward Yellow

◆ Flurry of Blows

First Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Slashing damage, additional 1d4 Persistent Bleed on a crit: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9

Second Attack of Flurry of Blows using Tiger Claw Strikes: 1d20 + 14 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 14 - 4 = 24

I can go first. I don't have a weapon to stow and ready again if there is trouble.

Once the rope is secure, Siddhartha will climb down.

Siddhartha moves up and looks down through the portal.

I am not inclined to proceed until we have cleared the rest of this level. This would be a very odd library entrance.

Siddhartha will see if his Medicine skills tells him anything about how these creatures dies and/or anything else of interest about what is going on.

Siddhartha won't drink the fluid either.

He also moves North to back up Krakazh.

I wonder what that foul smelling fluid is? And isn't it strange to trap a fake door?

If it is a Climb check to get down, Siddhartha is expert in Athletics and has the Lead Climber feat.

Siddhartha has Assurance in Medicine for an Automatic 19, so 2d8 per Treat Wounds. If he spends twenty minutes Treating the Bards, he also heals 20 points from the Aeon Stone. Should we assume we can take time and heal everyone up?

Well, that was. . .different. I wonder what that creature was?

Is the check per space or per movement action? If it is every space, there is no way I could escape. A success moves the individual five feet toward the dias. If it is one check per turn or even one per move action, I could still get a significant distance, unless I crit fail again.

Speaking which, I will Medicine myself with assurance while we discuss.

2d8 Healing from Assurance Medicine, plus the healing from the Aeon Stone while I Treat Wounds: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (2, 6) + 10 = 18

I don't have either, so I may be here a while.

Siddhartha will look for a way to soften the experience for anyone else who gets caught, if he can.

Ouch

I'm glad we resolved the healing before stepping any further.

Stay away from this thing

Do I see a way to deactivate this contraption?
