Yes. They can be used together. Even in the first range increment.

Is it Touch AC or Regular AC in First Range Increment?

I know it says does not work with Touch attacks, but could it be used outside the first range inc, and into the second. Thx for any help.

oooh so shot on the run wouldn't let you get 2 shots if you have 2 guns but this feat would. Thx that's helpful, and what race has 4 arms, because that's just crazy. Also is there a spell that lets you get another pair of arms in 3.5 or pathfinder, because that could be interesting.

Wouldn't Shot on the Run be a better feat? I'm a Gunslinger noob so I was just wondering I thought I would make one, because they look fun.

First Leaping Shot Deed says the following, but...

Leaping Shot Deed (Grit)
You leap through the air, guns blazing.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, grit class feature or Amateur
Gunslinger feat, Dodge, Mobility, base attack bonus +4.
Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on Acrobatics checks made
to jump. As a full-round action, you can move up to your
speed and make firearm attacks at your highest base attack
bonus with each loaded firearm you are wielding. You can
make these attacks at any point during your movement,
and if you are wielding two firearms, you can make the
attacks at different points during the movement. At the
end of this movement, you fall prone. This deed costs 1 grit
point to perform.

If you are using 1 gun can't you already fire a single shot at your highest base attack and make a full move as a full-round action or is this feat/grit only worth having if you are using 2 guns? I'm trying to find the value of this feat. Thank you for any help trying to understand this feat.

I think they should make an epic book that goes up to level 30 or 40, because sometimes level 20 comes to fast. When you look back all those awesome things you wanted to do at mid level you can't do, because you are level 20 and no body wants to run a game for that character. Such as world domination I'd like to attempt it, but I know I'll never succeed.

You can't sleep in your eidolon.

A Synthesist eidolon didn't have feats, so if he want to take several combat feats he need a decent strength.

In the Synthesist FAQ/Errata a Synthesist could take the combat feats just not be able to use them until he meets the prerequistes, and the Eidolon is considered a permanent bonus, because it is possible to leave it on for over 24 hours with some cheap magical items also.

First why does a summoner need a high strength when you are going to be casting spells or use your summon monster ability, and second there's a second level spell you can cast to pull it out as a standard action. Third if you wanted to you could summon and sleep in your eidolon. I'd actually be more likely to go with the first and the second though.

Also after you read the Eidolon's str boost book if you are just that loaded with money or you get lucky enough to find another one just use it on yourself.

A belt without a doubt would increase the summoner str outside of the eidolon and inside of the eidolon, because he's still wearing the belt in both forms. Belt is just a magic item that increases the wearers strength, but I got something official enough.

The tome thing is just read it and train it with my Eidolon suit on, because the group I'm in rolls stats. We don't do point buy in, but this seems interesting enough to try to play this in a game.

Synthesist's Eidolons can use tomes and manuals straight from Sean Reynolds to the world =). Thank you guys for all the help.

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

Can Eidolon's gain the benefit of magic Manuals and Tomes to raise stats, and also can the Synthesist Eidolon use physical stat manuals to raise strength, dexterity and constitution assuming you used them while you were wearing your Eidolon?

Will Improved Natural Attack Feat and the Improved Damage Evolution stack with each other?

I always wondered if teiflings and dhampirs registered on the 'detect evil' scale regardless of thier actual alignment. You can make a case for it, and think of the crazy loop it would throw them for if they ever met a pit-born paladin who actually radiated evel despite thier class!

Tieflings and Dhampirs don't detect as Evil since there subtype isn't Evil unless there alignment is evil.

no one can give me any help on good feats? or was my feat build just amazing?

I'm making a half-elf Tank Synthesist, and I was having trouble trying to find good combat feats. I'm trying to build a Devilish Beast. Thank you for any help.

My recommendations on how to decide your future wizarding career:

1) Read all spells from each given level, if you like some of them particularly try to specialize in a school or playstyle, blasting, battlefield control, buffing, summoning, debuffing.

2) It is heavily adviced that you never enter melee under any circumstance, you have almost zero ways to negate heavy melee damage, so touch attacks are to be used with metamagic.

3) View metamagic and consider what you will be casting in next levels.

4) Consider what you would do in a combat all the way through.

5) Your feats are what will make you completely different from other wizards you know. Have them into consideration when you level as they are invaluable and are prereqs to the future one.

6) Never be a Flaky Egoist Wizard...
- Paladin: Please dispel the defensive magics of the dragon so I can hit better (mage armor and shield)
- Flaky Egoist Wizard: Sure man sure next round, because right now is Lighting Bolt! Rolls 10d6...26 dmg...
- P: Please I can hit him with my Smite Evil for a lot please dispel him this round.
- FEW: Sure man sure right after my SCORCHING RAY...
- P: Right...
(dragon full attacks)
- P: <---Dead
- 2 rounds later Total Party Kill

Sometimes your most unflashy spells will be the ones that will turn the battle into your side I'm talking about: Charm Person, Dispel Magic, Grease, Glitterdust, etc...

Hope that helps!

What if the dragon enters battle prebuffed and you don't know he's buffed would you throw a Dispel magic up to find out?

As a noob I like Evocation, because nothing beats a fireball or lightning bolt when you are in a bad mood. Although I've noticed it does kind of drain your spell slots when you are on your own, but if you make friends with the party warrior than you can soften them up and let him finish them off. I love my party warrior <3.

When you use limited wish to duplicate a spell like Fireball do feats like spell focus and spell penetration improve it?

ShadowcatX wrote:

A standard action. The casting of limited wish isn't the same as the casting of restoration, it simply produces the same effect.

And again, producing the same effect as a quickened spell is pointless, because to produce that effect required a standard action.

I agree with Shadowcat, I think the quicken effect would be pointless.

if you casted a Limited Wish and used it to cast a Fireball spell could you instead have it mimic an Intensified Fireball, Extended Haste or anything like that.

If you are a Summoner with Summon Monster I Spell Like Ability, and someone casts Summon Monster I spell could you use your Summon Monster I Spell Like Ability to counter the opponents Summon Monster I Spell? I'm not saying it's a great move I'm just wondering. If a spell like ability can counter a spell if they are the same.

Have the players hear a ruckus out side the cave and when they run to see what is happening they spot the bandit and his companion riding off at the PCs approach. The bandit is sporting a bloodied nose and bruised face and swearing revenge (again) on the party. The cavaliers mount is still there pawing the ground and snorting at the receiding villian.

The cavalier will enjoy the fact that his mount kicked the bandit in the face and everyone will realise just how stronger his mount is from others.

Depending on how hurt the cavalier is at the time this could also open up into a great chase sequence.

I don't have any real suggestions, and I don't ever DM. Although I like this one and makes me want to make a Cavalier just to hope this would happen to me. I love chases!!!

I have a character I want to be a cute little lich eventually, and bestiary say base creature +2. So I think it's 2, but don't quote me on that I'm still noobish.

Thx a bunch that's probably why I couldn't find one lol =)

I'm making a Master Summoner and I just want to find a more complete list to expand my summons.

I think I figured out what I was gonna do with that last feat since my Eidolon won't be that great. I'm either gonna take Leadership, Wild Cohort or Dragon Cohort so I can get an awesome defender. Wild Cohort gives an animal companion and Dragon Cohort is in a 3.5 book, but they are both 3.5 feats.

This is going to be my first Master Summoner I would choose Air (I liked the Flying also, and thx for showing me primal)or Abyssal (I liked the extra summon here) also, but your build is very similar to mine except I haven't found anything for level 15 feat yet, but why did you choose quicken spell?

I'm a Half-elf also

1 Skill Focus
1 Improved Initiative
2 Augment Summoning
3 Superior Summoning
5 Extra Summons
7 Extra Summons
9 Eldritch Heritage
11 Extra Summons
13 Improved Eldritch Heritage
15
17 Greater Eldritch Heritage
19 Extra Summons

This is also a total beginner question, but can your Eidolon pick Extra Evolution as one of it's own feats or can the summoner only pick that feat. I'm not really sure what my Eidolon will do yet with only half the evolution pool.

I'm making a Master Summoner for a new game, and I am having trouble finding feats. I can pick Pathfinder or 3.5 feats. Master Summoners get Augment Summoning as a bonus feat so far my choices are...

Only Feat I've found
Superior Summoning

I'm really not sure what I'm looking for all together. Thank you for any help.

As far as DoctorYesNinja's question, you can still take a 5 foot step admidst a full round action.

You can't take a 5 foot step the same round you charge in though which is also on page 198

I just rewatched my video and found out I held Sam an extra 2 rounds was suppose to be 5 although he was held for 7. I'm not sure I should of won that fight now.

I'm Shyne obviously and I'm just glad all you B rating favorites are on the other side of the list from me so you can burn each other out.
