Hey, guys.

I'm just going to go straight to the point, as ridiculous as it makes me sound, considering I JUST started playing in your game. I am going to have to drop out, at least for the next month, possibly longer.

Due to our production being behind at work, this week they put us on OT for 10 - 12 hour days, 6 days a week til the end of the year. I work on an assembly line, and the OT is mandatory. This was unexpected, and

I thought at first that rping would still be doable, and that I could simply write short posts for the time being. But, as much as I like the game, sadly, I'm finding that I'm not only exhausted, but feeling "brain dead" by the time I get home and that what time I do have is (understandably) desired by my wife and kids.

I'm really sorry to do this, but rather than limp and struggle through and still end up letting you down, I thought it best to withdraw before things really get underway. And to be clear, it's NOT your game that's at issue, here. It's me.

Again, my apologies.

Gotta admit, being chased by a giant steel sphere is an impressive way to make an entrance into a game. Hope I don't trip! lol

Still Running!

Tell me when you want me to take over, BrvHeart.

Howdy, folks!
Trapseeker and troublemaker extraordinaire, reporting for duty!

I've adapted to your version. :D Except for the fact that he has Precise Shot and not Precise Strike, which I've edited.

You did not account for favored class bonus so add 7 hp
THAT I will most happily do. Thanks for the heads up!
You dotted Skull&Shackles lol Need to try again with Dark Tower

* face-palm * whoops

Well, I'm hoping that Reldak's +18 Disable Device will be up to the task...but after seeing that last trap, I'm not so sure...lol

He's ready for review, btw.

Heavy penalties on rolling in combat on top of all the potential difficult of under-water combat? This is Slumber Witch and Summoning Druid territory.

Ooooh, a Druid could be fun for this. We're you planning on one? Wouldn't want to steal your idea...

And only 4? That's a remarkably small crew. :D
Also, contemplating a 1/2 Orc Bard for my submission.

Pirates?!
InTeReStEd!

No, just need to fill the niches left open in the very complex traps/puzzle areas and the front line against the hordes of undead and various evil followers of set.

Many traps are combination mechanical and magical with dual triggers, you can make one dc and still miss the other, still setting it off. Some are just complex puzzles. Others can not be bypassed, only avoided.

Inspiration was a lot of old school and a little grimstooth.

Well. I, for one, am officially terrified. lol

Most of the "crunch" for the character is under his profile. A couple of questions:

What is his starting wealth at 7th level? Are there limitations or home rules on magic items at character creation? (Not planning on going crazy...just want to be aware of what I have to work with)

How many xp does he have and which method are we using? (Slow, Fast, etc)

Hit Points for Reldak:
1st 9 (8 + 1 Con)
2nd: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
3rd: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
4th: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
5th: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
6th: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
7th: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Total: 38 Hp + 7 Favored Class = 45 Hp

Smile:) This one plays a little closer to the Mummy and not the Tom Cruise version! So anymore ideas on your character?

Brendan Fraser FTW! :D

As for Reldak, I had somehow missed the "mummy's tomb" vibe on my first read through the recruitment, but I gotcha now, and it's even more fun. Basically the same as said earlier, he's a cat-burgler for hire by profession, but recently (after perhaps a job goes wrong and he barely escapes with his life), he decides to try his hand at treasure hunting. Maybe he's somehow come into possession of a map, or at the very least some rumors of some long lost treasure, hence his journey to this region. ...that, and having someone back home wanting his head on a spike due to his larcenous activities.

If you have any ideas for a specific "macguffin" for him to be seeking, I'm open to ideas. Otherwise I'll just ad-lib something in, because you know, rumors are often misleading and false. Right?

Ok, the concept I'm going to work on is an elven rogue (Straight, no archetype) who was raised in an orphanage with a rather diverse group of children and took to the streets at a young age.

Over time he grew in skill to the point where he became a burgler for hire, who chooses his jobs with care so as not to steal from those who can't afford it, and primarily from those who "deserve" it. Most of the time. :) In any event, he considers himself a professional, and holds himself to a high standard. When jobs are scarce, he acts as a treasure hunter, and is currently dealing with just that sort of situation...unless the DM secretly wants to have an NPC offer him job to steal something? LOL

As an aside, he is not particularly religious, but devoutly and anonymously donates 10% of his earnings to the orphanage where he was raised.

Question: Is Mitra's Fist an inland or port city?

I'd absolutely be interested in this. Do you have anything story specific you're looking for, beyond a 7th level rogue skillmonkey? You know, before I start fleshing a character concept out for submission?

This is a rather intriguing recruitment for an AP I have long desired to play, especially with the addition of the vmc classes.

I'm strongly considering a Cleric of Apsu (God of Dragons) vmc Cavalier with the Order of the Dragon, charged with the goal of establishing the active worship of Apsu in the eventual fledgling kingdom.

Hmmm. Time constraints for me, and you're quickly approaching your submission limit number of characters.

I'll bow out at this point, methinks. Reldak will just have to wait for another day to find adventure. :)

Have fun, folks.

1. I saw those traits listed as well...was wondering what the hell we were getting ourselves into. LOL Glad I didn't choose one of them.

2. @Dorian Grey: That sucks. Been there. Have the t-shirt.

This will be Krinox Haab's alias for this game, a human wizard with the Monument Scholar campaign trait.

The character is under construction, and I've got most of his crunch done, but (planned) family arriving from out of town is going to delay completion until at least tomorrow.

Just wanted to make sure my interest was clear if this starts filling up early. ;)
