Howdy! Now I know there are probably other systems that would probably make a better translation to PSO than Pathfinder... but what im asking is how and what I can do to create PSO experience in Pathfinder. Essentially what I want to do is keep the same system... except implement a simple dodge/ block system in addition to the normal attack system. What I have come up with thus far is simple its just BAB + Base Ref Save + (either str or dex mod) + 1d20... and if the total of this beats the attack you dodge/ block it, now this takes the place of your attack of opportunity that turn. As for the weapons, we are just having all the Photon weapons count as force for base damage, and you can "enchant" them add an elemental effect. We are making a lot of use from the Numeria Technology Guide for armor and other things. Any ideas for PSO androids? Neumans? Beasts?
I know it says that it must be a one handed slashing, rapier or sword cane to get this effect, the argument posted to me was that it can be used one handed, but it isn't slashing, but the argument posted to that is that it is the bigger version of the rapier and can still be used with one hand with the feat. But it still doesn't go read as written then. I.e.
Just wondering if I can use Weapon finesse to attack with my Dexterity and use Power Attack at the same time. It just seems off because I have weapon Finesse, which involves me using my dexterity instead of my strength to attack my enemy.... but using power attack, an ability that uses brute strength to lose accuracy... Brute Strength is the exact opposite of Weapon Finesse. I am aware as all the read as written versus read as intended going about.... but this seems a tad off.
Ok, so here goes I have a cleric and or oracle they are casting spiritual weapon.
and then get Merciful Spell
Level Increase: None (a merciful spell does not use up a higher-level spell slot than the spell’s actual level.) or Trait:
So does that mean they effectively cast Spiritual Weapon as a 0 level cantrip/ orison?
Is it being read or interpreted wrong?
Basically the swarm of Spiritual Weapons is kinda getting out of hand.
The High Tech aspect of Iron Gods/ Numeria/ Androffa just causes my head to spin with possibilities... Here I am thinking of a Bio armor... like Guyver
anyone else thinking of this? Or other ways to run this other than a Summoner? A template? I found something from dragonstar a while ago. Perhaps Iron Gods will have biological enhancements like Shadowruns Bioware as opposed to just Cyberware.
so the Androffans start off as a somewhat benevolant and explore the galaxy to unite the worlds, see who can join the forming galactic republic like in star wars... but then after their battle with the dominion of the black... and horrible battles and casualties, they become more like the imperium of man in warhammer 40k and less like the galactic republic in star wars. Just thought of it, and would it be probable that other exploration vessels were sent out?
I was trying to explain to a PC was, why a Lawful Good Paladin (of Iomadae) couldnt sell a ally and friend of the party NPC or PC into slavery for an advantage. Their counter argument was that they had one level of inquisitor, but when I brought up that they had 8 levels of paladin, their reply was that they were an inquisitor.. and that I was trying to give him multiple personalities.... when they were going to infiltrate an enemy compound/ city to do sabatoge and what not. They tried to come up with a work around... instead of having to worry about a lengthy mission of infilatration, they had remembered that they had met some Tanuki merchants, and they read their description in the monsterous manual that they often make magical items.... so they wanted to make magical gun powder so they could just dig under ground and blow the compound up from underneath with the super magical gunpowder they wanted the tanuki to build. When I told them the Tanuki couldnt make magical gun powder they cited reading the fluff description and that I was shutting down their work around for the campaign.... Needless to say I am getting tired of this.... am I doing something wrong? What should I do....
Ok so trying to figure out a good way to build a monster/ npc with classes based on the Japanese myth of Tamamo no Mae. Essentially first trying to figure out something like a succubus like kitsune mixture? And the hard for the classes? Or perhaps a ninja as she was apparently working for a opposing daiyamo to assassinate the emperor.
alrighty... searched the internet and the forums and nothing really explained it to me... maybe I am just stupid. but if a critter has say...
but it ops to use two weapon fighting with weapons because they are more effective than its two claw attacks... would it get 3 manufactured weapon attacks then the tail and bite? for a total of 5 attacks... and then with improved two weapon fighting taking it to 6 attacks? just really needing clarification please.
Well I saw the rules for firearms expanded with the weapons in Rasputin Must Die. So I was wondering how would you go about making rules for something like a Thompson 1919 SMG? yes WW1 is over so it technically wouldnt be part of that era, but I was working on doing a WW2 type cross over a bit. So looking for rules for SMG's going full auto and some later with burst fire features for other weapons. Are there any threads that address this or any ideas?
I am sure someone could make a reason but I am just wanting some ideas from the community. thanks
Ok... I tried to find a answer somewhere in the threads...and after checking pages i could not. So I am asking here.
Now a White hair witch takes that and runs with it, pretty much focusing on leveling and getting it stronger with, constrict, trip, pull and stangle. However it does not say anything about manipulting objects. But it tends to reason that the white hair witch is actually stronger, it gets 1d4 as opposed to 1d3 damage and its use is permanent... but it says nothing about manipulating objects, I understand the obvious that the hair can not wield a weapon as that would be like gaining extra limbs for use with weapons. But could I pick up a spoon and eat my soup with it or wind a pocket watch with it? As the hair has the innate ability to grapple (fine size on up, I would assume it has the ability to grab and release). So the ultimate question I as a GM am asking is whether a white hair witch can manipulate objects with her hair, or if the hair is like the weapons in world of warcraft, that remain limp and impotent until a designated enemy approaches. Since a white hair witch loses the hex ability and will never be able to get apprehensive hair unless they take a level in the magus class with a special archetype. It seems excessive just to be able to maniuplate a small object.
Howdy, just had a question about favored classes. ok, how to start... Well Kitsune for example has Favored Class options: Bard, Druid, Oracle, Rogue and Sorcerer. It list special benefits that are beyond the normal +1 to hit points or +1 to a skill per level. Those options in the advanced race guide are taken if the Kitsune Player chooses one of those classes not in addition to correct? Second question, if said Kitsune Chooses Fighter as their favored Class (are they allowed to or only choose from just the classes listed in the Advance Races Guide?) can they get the +1 to hit points per level or skill if they Choose that as their class? Basically are they just limited to the selection of Favored Classes from the APG as options or can they choose from the other classes as a favored class? |
