![]() I was looking for a description of what was around so I could build an accurate mental picture and have a plan and what resources were around. "Those that are unarmored get them slings and bows and get them up high or behind cover. They will have to focus on the archers in the back to take out their ranged. Close only if necessary." She would look at Vasu. "Vasu, lead the archers and help them take out their targets. I suggest four groups of five concentrate on one enemy take him down. That way we go through them quickly. My magic will only go so far. Two archer groups on each flank behind us." To those armed and armored. "Lets set it up to funnel them into and area where they can't flank us. Barricades there and there. Those with polearms behind those with shields and swords. Remember, your opponent is trying to take your life so end theirs before they can." She would look around and flies up getting a look of the area and how to use it to their advantage. ![]()
![]() To Vasu in Auren. "Orcs, bad tempered creatures that love any excuse to go to war and raid. I didn't notice any particular markings on them but they knew they were headed here so some other group. Could be from the speaker or even this Matthias person. Either way they are a threat we must eliminate." ![]()
![]() "There is no time for who or who isn't going to live down drinking milk. There are orcs on their way here, at least 22 that I stumbled upon. Possibly more. Send runners informing the guard and Suzume. Get everyone able to the wall and spread word along it there may be more." The look on her face was serious, but then agian, her look was always serious. "MOVE IT!" She snapped to denote the urgency of the matter. ![]()
![]() Sealith's wings gathered altitude and she spread them to catch the wind and ride it. "Vasu, we need to warn the town. There may be more than just this twenty but we need to tell them they are coming. Do you know anything about this?" She asks her face set as she scanned the ground below looking for any other groups as she rushed to tell the city. ![]()
![]() Sealith would launch herself as she felt Vasu's hand grab hers and took off. Flapping her large wings taking to the air to get the height needed. The large pop was Sealith's wrist but she didn't mind. Instinctually Vasu reached to pull her out of danger. Her wrist bones had popped from the suddenness of her yanking. After all it took a bit more effort for a Samuraian to get into the air. She probably would have some issues with that wrist in the possible fight to come but she would still remain victorious. Her eyes scanning their numbers and seeing what they had on them. Auran "We should inform the village. As much as I would love to fight them I know right now they outnumber us." Thinking on it she counted them quickly and thought about the terrain in between thinking of an idea as she called on the spirits to protect her. ![]()
![]() Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 Sealith tried to make sense of what Vasu was trying to get at, but, considering Vasu's reaction she was close to the mark. "I do not follow a false leader, nor one whose heart does not exhist. He only lives for power and not for the people. He would throw you away as soon as you were not useful to him. Right now, you are useful so he will keep giving you orders. If you wish me to give you orders I can but you are my friend first. This means I would stick by your side because I wish to and I enjoy your company. NOT because you are useful but because I like who you are." 'KILL HER! SHE WILL BETRAY YOU!' Says the angry spirit at her side 'Oh, dear she does look guilty doesn't she. You probably should drag the information out of her.' The calmer spirit spoke. 'If she intends to betray us then she will do so. There is no need to kill her before she has shown her true feathers.' Said the warrior spirit. A fourth, new voice joined the other three. 'Either way, I will protect our charge and keep blades away from her. None will stand against us.' Sealith ignored him. "That one you call master is afraid of you. You are strong and powerful, so he wishes to keep you thinking you are weak and unworthy. You are no such thing. You are growing to be a powerful Syrinx unlike any the world has seen. I would like to watch you grow and would like to help. But you must chose. Stand beside your master and stay his pet, or stand beside us as a friend and we can grow strong together." Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 ![]()
![]() Sealith would reach out and offers her a clawed hand to help her up. Sealith only knew of a few things that hit her mind on what Vasu may want to hide. After all, she had been vocal about supporting the speaker and how she had called him master. Either way, Vasu she would still consider a friend and as such, she would speak frankly to her. "Well, I know that is not the truth. I know you are hiding something Vasu. If I were to say anything, you just swallowed something that you didn't want me to see. Possibly from the speaker or some lackey." She still held her hand out to her to offer her with no tremble. No anger was in her voice either. Almost as if it was an inevitable fact that such a thing would happen and she was still going to hold out her hand to help her up. 'What are you doing?! If you know she is up to something kill her.' An angry elder spat next to her ear. Trying in vain to move her hand. 'She is trying to show her another way.' 'That creature has no honor. Why treat it with such honor! It is a disgrace!! No TRUE Samurian would accept such a thing.' 'A TRUE Samurian teaches honor.' As the spirit's quibbled around her Sealith's eyes looked into Vasu's. "What ever it is, I guess that is to be expected. Telling the truth Vasu, That CHOICE has always been yours. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. You are a valuable member of the group and it would be a shame for us to not be friends. As your friend, I chose to confront you about this. But what your decision is, I will respect it. I just ask to know first." ![]()
![]() Sealith would land next to Vasu. Auran "Vasu, I hope your morning hunt went well." Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Sealith wouldn't notice her grinding her beak as she landed but she could tell by her fluffed feathers and wide eyed look something was up. Sense Movtive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Auran"Vasu, is everything alright? What happened?" Sealith's voice had a note of concern as her wings fluttered slightly as she settled them on her shoulders. Sealith's eyes were intense studying Vasu. Vasu, you can tell me what the results of the check would have found out. ![]()
![]() Sealith stretched and settled her wingclaws onto her shoulders. "I will head that way after I find Vasu." She stated and would look around before finding a clear area to climb up and take to the air. Sealith wondered what commotion was about to happen that got Suzume up and running. Should be interesting either way. ![]()
![]() Alright, things have settled down for me. I propose three options if the group wants. A: We wait until our Awesome GM can start again. B: I continue to run the game until he comes back C: I take our characters in a dreamscape side quest where we continue to play but only when Council comes back, does he determine if it has any effect on his actual world. ![]()
![]() Sealith grinned as seeing the wicked gleam, her teeth showing. Auran "Lead the way Vasu. I look forward to the quarry we will hunt together." Quickly she would climb the wall to get the distance she needed as she took to the air and made the ascent so she could start gliding. With each downbeat of the wings you could feel the massive amount of air moving but she didn't gain much at first. After all, her bones were thick and strong, designed for fighting over flight. ![]()
![]() SOrry Vasu for the Delay been under the weather. GM if you would allow them to have gone out hunting before retiring for the night they would have if Vasu wanted. Sealith smiled. "I love hunting challenges and dangerous creatures. But those that I can find use with meat, hide and bone. I would love to hunt with you. I did promise you a hunt today. Shall we go hunt together." ![]()
![]() Sealith grins and takes it licking at the blood. Auran:
"You don't mind if I eat this raw. It looks delicious." She asked even as her stomach growled. Taking the larch chunk she would tear some of it apart and eats it savoring the taste. Fresh meat was always the best. Samuraian could eat meat in any form including charcoal, but preferred it raw or mostly raw. Auran: "Gogrin has cancelled his feast. He has decided to do something different after our conversation last night. I still need to check on the people in the fields but I should be able to join you on another hunt if you wish. Thanks for the meat it is delicious." ![]()
![]() Sealith heard distant cheers and looked at Suzume. "I will join you at the fields soon." Turning to the crowd of recruits. "You will follow Suzume to the fields, once there you will start help with them. If you truly wish to learn to defend yourself, be here tomorrow morning for training. Dismissed." She would turn towards the crowd gathering around VASU and waves at her. Auran "Good Hunting i see." ![]()
![]() (To the Asses comment) "I had heard this phrase used often. It seems to be an unpleasant thought so it makes them respond." Once the fight was over and she heard Suzume talking about charging. "I knew I needed to heal so I did so. You would have taken me out otherwise." Shifting as he talked about sparring she would nod. "I would like that but not now. I think they got the point that fighting is not something that can be half assed. It would be an honor to spar you." Quietly to Suzume she would ask. "I think the talk about my legs is supposed to be a compliment." He could see a slight confusion in her eyes. ![]()
![]() Sealith and Suzume: Sealith reached out and caught Alexis before she fell. Holding her in her arms as the clerics healed her. "I nearly didn't. She almost had me there, if I hadn't tripped her up and used her weakness for wanting her blade. The seal was her wanting to use that spell." Dripping blood Sealith would stand there and spreads out her wings slightly as she debated on using her own magics but stopped and nodded. "Your healing would be greatly appreciated, just don't remove the scar from that one strong hit right here." Once she woke. "You are heavy in armor." She says and smiles helping her stand. "It was a good fight Alexis. You almost had me. I will keep the scar you gave me in remembrance." Stepping back she would look at those around. "Combat is not a friendly sparring match. It is life or death. Every choice, every reaction, every step is your life or your death. You will find the training you will have, not only teaches you how to protect yourself. But to protect your family and friends. It will not be easy, it will be rough, you will curse it, you will hate it." Looks at everyone assembled. "Then the day will come where you will thank us. It won't be soon. I hope for your sake, it will be a long time into the future." Her wings spread out. "NOW STOP GAWKING AND GET BACK TO WORK!" ![]()
![]() Sealith and Suzume: Sealith saw the opening as she cast her spell, her arm lifted up to bless the blade and she reached under it with her claw tearing at the vulnerable area exposed. AoO Claw: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Sealith shifted to one side her claw coming out to scrape across her armor as her other raked at her leg as she shifted into a crouch then her head came up snapping at Alexis. While Alexis was intensely flashy, Sealith was straight to the point and seemed to take the sparing seriously. Claw: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Claw: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

![]() Sealith and Suzume: Sealith knew it was now or never and as she stood she brought her claw down onto her. Claw AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Once she danced away and picked up her sword Sealith turned her wings flaring out and she stepped forward. Her head lunged as she bit at Alexis and brought her two claws to her sides. Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Claw: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

![]() Sealith channeled her ancestors to call misfortune onto her as she charged. Even if the cut still sliced deep she would use her momentum against her and attempts to break her hold on the sword. Disarm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 If it drops from her hands she would grab it and takes a 5ft step back away from Alexis. Misfortune for her charge attack then a provoke for combat maneuvers... i hate they provoke ![]()
![]() "I would kill them sparring with them. So myself of course." Turning to the group and taking a deep breath, Sealith finally addressed those around. "ALRIGHT YOU SORRY TWINKLE-TOED C*$$@#*$S. GET YOUR ASSES MOVING AND GET IN FORMATION." Glaring around she wouldn't see them moving fast enough. "I SAID MOVE IT BEFORE I PUT MY TALONS UP YOUR ASS!!!" Once everyone was in formation she would look at Alexis. "I will put up my shield of faith to even the playing field." She would cast it and then shifts into a ready stance, her claws coming up and her teeth suddenly flashing into view. Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

![]() Sealith had been sitting quietly by as Suzume trained keeping an eye out on the crowd. Her eyes kept going back to the group though even as she watched him warm up the newbies. Watching Alexis do what she was doing it was hard for her to resist wanting to put her own part in. "Alexis, they have never tasted battle, much less seen it. They don't know what its like to face someone or something that is willing to kill them. Telling them simply won't do it. Do you wish to indulge in a sparring match?" ![]()
![]() 'That will be good. I will check on the ones in the fields. Don't over work your men to much but I am liking the progress. Don't forget to break for dinner." Sealith would touch his shoulder before turning to Suzume. "You know it is rude to leave me hanging like that. Tell me this training method you are thinking." Looking out over the recruits she looks at Suzume to see if she wanted him to do anything. ![]()
![]() "They still live for now Suzume. There is a reason, otherwise, yes, they would be nothing but a pile unable to be raised. I am curious about this chastity belt and where it fits in. I look forward to hearing it." Sealith looks at Roy. "Don't give him any special treatment or others would catch on. He is just another worker today." She said lightly before turning to Alexis. "Flight was great, had some good strong wind to ride. As for what I ran into, they were sent after Vasu directly. I would like them interrogated on why. The only reason they are still alive is for that information. It was a deliberate attack against her." She tells her honestly. Shifting from foot to foot. "I would have been here earlier but your guards didn't wake me until later." ![]()
