Quote:

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Sarazel pulls her crossbow out once again, keeping herself behind the more melee oriented members of the party while aiming for Tom's target.

Crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 51d8 ⇒ 1

That was surprise round, so first round of combat is a full round action.

Still here, wondering what the caster's response was to my sleep spell though.

Sarazel sees that the fight is going relatively their way, so to try and close the deal, she lowers her crossbow and starts chanting to herself while looking at the robed man. Her voice is soothing, and rather like a lulluby...

Sleep spell targeting it so that it does not hit Peya, but catches the cultist instead. Will Save DC 15

"It is likely that the dragon will either find camels to eat... Either wild ones, or more likely caravans... Were there any around here that were likely to come in soon? If so, that will be where it will strike when it gets hungry..." Sarazel muttered. "If the dragon has mortal help... or at least monstrous help, then they'll likely be there. We can probably find one or two of those cultists along the way..."

(That would be me.)

"My name is Sarazel, mage-to-be I suppose," the woman replied, looking back at the group and their prisoner. "Somewhat new to all this though..."

Sarazel watched the Slayer and elf began interrogating the prisoner, before turning to the man who'd responded to her question before. "This could take a bit... Any ideas to share on what could be done? I'll admit, I don't exactly have great knowledge on dragons... Or of you for that matter. May I ask your name?" she said to Peya.

Don't see why she couldn't join in myself. Gnick?

Sarazel looked down at the child after the guard had turned away, leaning down so that the boy could see her eyes, since the rest of her face was covered. "Chin up boya... You're going to have to be the tough one now, alright? Everyone has to grow up sometime, and we all need to learn how to defend ourselves..." Taking a rough dagger from her side, she handed it to the boy. "This got me through a lot of scrapes when I was your age. It's lucky... So don't lose it, okay?" she said, patting him on the head. "I have to go now, so keep your head up, and your wits about you... Your family will be proud of you if you do." Having said her piece, the half-elf made her way up the stairs to where the rest of the group was. "Did I miss anything?"

Thanks. Again, sorry about that!

Wizard is still here, house hunting has been a pain in the rear. Sorry about that!

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

(Still here, just been busy with house-hunting! That and my character hasn't really had too much to add. My bad!)

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

She shook her head at Tom's actions, wondering what she had signed on for. Her ears were STILL ringing from that lightning bolt, and she wanted to get indoors as soon as possible! Turning to the dwarf at the front, Sarazel asks "Is there a shelter down below for the boy here? I think he may be in shock..."

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

Sighing in relief, the wizard lowered her crossbow before she turned to the others. "Our best bet is either the town hall or the guard station. Both will have stronger walls than the other buildings..."

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

Seeing that Tarick could still use a hand, Sarazel rearms the crossbow and takes aim, letting loose a bolt that would hopefully take it in something vital. "If we're to interrogate the little newt, might it not be wise to find somewhere other than the street? Especially with a LARGER one still in the air? Under cover would be nice!"

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Initiative order: 6th, Attacking Kobold #2

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

Again, sorry, but I'm having trouble seeing what the hell is even left to fight. When one of the enemy dies, can we have the initiative order and who's left be posted up please? I'm sorry if it seems like I'm slowing us down, but it's confusing to me.

For a nemesis I'm actually rather stymied. On the one hand, a fighter/mercenary sounds about right, but then again maybe something more intellectual would be good. A witch or an alchemist would work well, I think, or maybe a ranger.

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

Sorry! Been hectic last couple of days! And I see you posted for me too... Thanks I suppose?

Female Half-elf Wizard Shadowcaster 1, AC 13, Touch 12, Flat-Footed 11, HP 10/10, Initiative +2, CMD 14, Darkvision 60ft, Perception +0

I'm still here, I thought my turn in initiative was after Tom though, so I've held off posting until he goes... Or did he give up his turn and I just didn't see?

Pulling the crossbow up to her shoulder, Sarazel took aim at one of the kobolds surrounding the woman and tried to send a bolt into its rib cage.

Alright, how do I do the whole green text rolling thing?

Sarazel is also keeping pace, though she's staying further to the back of the charging group.

(Don't have it...)

The elvish woman is not too pleased with the situation, but obviously has no intention of backing out of it. "You know, this really does explain the large number of dungeons in the world these days... When giant fire-breathing lizards roam the skies at will, it only makes sense that people want to get underground," she muttered, fitting a bolt to her weapon and casting a quick cantrip on herself, mitigating the damage light would do to her eyes with a Penumbra spell.

Seeing the human and half-orc start rushing off, she also cast a spell that would keep her cloaked in magical protections (Mage Armor) and started looking for a suitable bit of cover to provide long range support.

"You've got to be kidding me..." she mutters in Elven, seeing the reptilian form in the sky bearing down on the town. "And here I thought we could get through a town without something burning to the ground. At least this time they can't blame us..." she said, checking that her crossbow was still on her hip.

We're missing Tarik and that's all I believe.

I'm here!

"I hope that entertainment doesn't include us becoming someone's mark," came Sarazel's response. The half-elf wasn't too keen on being out in the open like this. Not only did it hurt her eyes to be out in the daylight, but she felt very exposed without any cover around. Her cloak and traveling clothes kept most of the sun's heat off of her, a thick cowl keeping her ears and face hidden, with only a few strands of brown-dyed hair peeking out from it. Her staff was cradled in one hand, while a thick, cold-iron and black leather-bound tome was clung in the other, a mithril chain keeping it tethered to the thick belt at her waist.
