"Voonith is still looking for 'home,' aka the Dreamlands. They say this place smells like it, which makes sense if Count Lowls was responsible for what happened to the asylum. Doesn't help us any though." She looks contemplative, (and also oddly hesitant). "Is there...do we know of any way to send someone back to the Dreamlands? I'm starting to feel bad for them. Is there any chance Wrentz would know?"

Saiya resists the urge to bury her head in her hands. "Yes. Yes they like to communicate in limerick. No Vix, I am not going to attempt to translate your poetry into Aklo." She still has no idea how Voonith manages to craft limericks in that language, but it's a talent she doubts she shares.
She crouches down to get closer to Voonith's eye level. Or at least what she thinks are their eyes.
Mostly to Allegra, but to Maura as well, she says, "We met Voonith in the asylum. They're weird, but I think harmless. They just want to go back home to the Dreamlands."

Saiya flips through the documents, one name in particular catching her attention. "Jassminder..." She remembers Mizuko's choice to leave, remembers Lahrehn fleeing from the Tatterman, but where had Jass gone? She vaguely remembers her leaving for the chapel, to protect the innocents inside, but that too is like the remnants of a dream.
So many names. So many distant and faded. Had they ever been known, or were they just part of the shared dream?
Swallowing hard, Saiya closes the book. "More info on us amnesiacs, if anyone wants it. But it's all physical stuff. Race, height, weight, etc. Nothing we don't already know." She stares down at the book in her hands for a few seconds. "Although I've apparently lost a few pounds. Being thrown into an asylum; the ultimate weight-loss tip. Am I right?" Despite the quip there's no humor in her voice.
She gathers anything of value the others don't want, then returns to the hall. "Not important. The important thing is; where the f+#@ is the f+@*er who did this to us?" She starts heading towards the next room, despite knowing Count Lowls isn't there. Maybe there's something to tell us where he was headed. Why he did this to us. Anything.

"Not particularly," Saiya answers in response to Allegra's question. "However we were eventually able to bargain with the ratlings we met in the asylum, so no harm in trying. Worst case scenario, I just wasted a breath. Not like they didn't already know we were here. Best case scenario, we don't have to fight whatever's in the walls."
"Besides, this way if they fight us we don't have to hesitate. We've already given them a chance." She gives Allegra a look, then tilts her head very slightly towards Vix. Which makes her feel better.

Saiya looks sideways at Vix as she mentions 'Ratlinglish', then shrugs. She supposes it's worth a try.
"There. If they come out weapons swinging or rat swarms swarming, it's not because we didn't give them a choice." It occurs to her that the scurrying in the walls might belong to some other kind of intelligent creature that didn't speak Aklo, but she's not really in the mood to repeat the offer in every language she knows.
No, she's in the mood to explore this place, figure out what the hells is going on, and get out.
"Door by door then?" Without waiting for a response from either the party or the walls, she approaches the first door and begins the now-familiar routine of looking for traps.

"No problem." Saiya is a little out of breath herself, not because she'd taken any damange (she hadn't) but because the creature had been so unexpected.
She taps the Vixen until she looks relatively healthy again. A few scrapes here and there, but nothing too bad.

Saiya doesn't particularly like the way the creature is tittering, but at least she knows what it is. Sort of. "Don't bother trying to find organs; it doesn't really have any." Not any that would be recognized on the Material Plane anyway.
Everyone else seems to have 'hit it till it dies' covered, so she takes a step back and pulls out a wand. "This should at least stop the bleeding." She taps Vix with it.

It's safe to assume I'll always take 10 on every monster roll. (Saiya doesn't need to spend an inspiration to do so, even if she's in danger or distracted.) For K. Dungeoneering that's a result of 20.

Saiya is distracted from her examination of the table by the sound of an invisible thing attacking Allegra. She's running out of her best spells quicker than she'd like, but hey, this is exactly the sort of situation the spell was designed for.
"Sorry if this hits you," she apologizes in advance as she focuses on the space directly above Allegra's head. Once the spell is cast, she takes a step forward and draws her sword.
Casting Glitterdust on the ceiling over Allegra, trying to avoid hitting her if at all possible. Will DC16 to negate the blinding effect.

Judging from the anxious looks on everyone's faces, Saiya is not the only one hearing the weird tittering sounds. While that's a good thing, in that she's not hallucinating, it's also not comforting.
She approaches the table warily. Anything that sheds light of its own accord must be magical. It's just a question of whether or not the magic is benign.

Under her breath, barely more than a whisper, she says, "Right door first." Then she heads over to it, checking for traps as she goes.

I've gone through and updated the loot sheet. I did have a question about the personal pages vs the party loot page. Should stuff be duplicated between the two?
For example, Saiya's mithral shirt is currently listed on both her 'personal' page as well as the party loot. Is that double-counting it in terms of WBL? My thought is that it should be listed on her personal page but not the party page, but I want to be sure.
Same thing in reverse with stuff like the Wand of CLW, (which Saiya plans to carry but is definitely a 'party' item). Should it be listed both places or only one?
I also added 'Handy Haversack' as an option for the carrier, and listed the location of everything as either 'stashed' (in the sack) or personal inventory (for stuff like wands that people are actually carrying individually).

Given how injured she is, Saiya is more concerned about the Vixen's situation than she lets on. However neither Ci Ci nor Maura are melee combatants. Protecting them does seem to be the top priority right now.
(When did she start thinking of herself as a melee combatant? Probably about the same time she got a cool new sword and even cooler armor.)

We did not find the viol when searching for our gear, more's the pity. It would have been a fun reference.
For that matter, we almost didn't find all of our gear. Most of us posted vague 'We look around the room' types of things, then moved on. Only one party member specifically stated 'I search the southwest corner,' which is where it turned out everything was.

Hearing the assassin's taunt, Saiya changes directions and heads towards the Vixen instead. She doesn't even glance at the cultists aiming crossbows at her. If they were any good, she'd probably be dead already.
No, the blonde woman is her main concern. That and keeping everyone alive. "I would very much appreciate it if you didn't die, okay? We haven't even gotten in the front door yet."

Saiya curses herself for foolishness even as she whirls around. We knew they were coming. We knew they knew we were coming. I should have scouted from the shadows before leading anyone in here.
Shadows were no longer an option, but she could make up for that. They wanted to sneak up on her? She'd make sure they wouldn't be sneaking up on anyone anytime soon.

You're right, I forgot about that. Scratch the attribute boosts.
Ci Ci, I double-checked and that would also mean bracers of armor don't exist. However, you can 'attune' to your regular clothes for a +1 enhancement bonus. You also have a +1 deflection bonus now that we're fifth level which I don't think you've added yet.

Alright. Going through and adding up all the non-claimed loot brings us to 12,934.
A fully-charged wand of CLW is only 750. Anyone need/want any gear upgrades? We could afford 2 or 3 of the 'Attribute +2' items if they're available.

Saiya's in a good mood the next morning. She had some good food, good drinks, good rest...it's the best evening she can ever remember having. (Which, to be fair, isn't much of a compliment.)
Her mood is slightly dampened when she sees Vix's face. Right. The armor. "That does sound...unpleasant." She feels worse for Maura, who would have had to actually see the skinning, but Vix is clearly more upset about it. "Well. Like I said at the time, I'm sure the angel would appreciate knowing that his skin is protecting someone who's protecting other people. I mean, ideally he wouldn't have been skinned at all, but since he was..." I'm just making
things worse aren't I.
She gives up and gives Vix a hopefully comforting pat on the shoulder. "I'm sure Milani has her reasons." Fortunately Allegra changes the subject, which in retrospect was probably what Saiya should have done to begin with.
"Right. Iris Hill. As long as we do a little shopping on the way, I'm good to head back. We should expect more guards though. And more traps. Which I will try to be better at spotting."

Yep, that was my understanding as well, although Saiya will go model if Vix or Ci Ci comes back and says Lelwyn wants her.
Saiya nods as Keldrin explains what little he knew about her. Some sort of researcher fits her impression of herself, and would explain the random knowledge she seems to have about, well, everything. If only she remembered exactly what research they were doing. Did it have anything to do with the ritual Maura showed her? Had she been there?
She doesn't think she would participate in a ritual murder now, but she's self-aware enough to realize she very well might have then. If it would advance their knowledge of a strange phenomenon, and the pay was good enough...she shudders slightly and deliberately thinks of something else.
Shadow plains was probably the Shadow Plane. Or possibly Nidal, which wasn't to the east but was the undisputed realm of shadows here on Golarion. Either way, chances were good she had been running from something.
Which was worrying in a different way. If she didn't remember what she'd been running from, how could she keep avoiding it?
"Sounds like I should have listened to you." And Wrentz. And Allard. Just how many people had tried to tell her working for the Count was a bad idea?
Some lessons have to be learned the hard way.
Trying to think of happier things, Saiya finishes her first mug of ale and starts on Allegra's. "Yes, how is the town? I haven't exactly gotten the best impression of it so far?" She smiles. "I'm also curious about Bess. She sounds like an amazing woman."

Saiya happily accepts the second drink. She doesn't plan on drinking so much she has to be carried back, but two or three ales should be fine. Right?
"We met up with a painter..." She blinks. Had that really been only yesterday? How time flew when you weren't having fun. "Uh, guess it was yesterday. We thought he might know something about the disappearances. He didn't know much, but he was willing to talk to us at least. Anyway, he thought we would be great models for this mural he's working on. So we're heading over there a few hours a night, standing still and letting him paint us. Easy money."
She smiles at Keldrin, feeling much more relaxed. "That's a great question. How long did we know each other? I'm not sure how long I lived in Thrushmoor or where I might have been before that, so any information is helpful."

To the best of my recollection none of us had been painted. We were supposed to all come back and pose together. Lily's absence makes that a little more awkward, but we can either pretend she's still around or retcon it to have shown Allegra instead.
"So we have a date with a painter. But we also have a date with Keldrin, which to be honest is a higher priority for me. Do those of you not going to the pub mind getting your portrait painted tonight? I doubt he could paint all of us at once anyway. If he does want us, we'll be at the Stain. I'll come if you fetch me." That seems like the best solution to Saiya, who really, truly wants that damn mug of ale. Especially if it's free.
Before she leaves Saiya studies Wrentz for a moment, an uncharacteristically intense expression on her face. "Look Wrentz. I'm a self-serving bastard. But as far as I can figure Count Lowls f#ed me up, and I won't stand for that. If that means stopping his plans here, great, I'll storm the castle. If we find any of your people in the process, we'll get them out." She pauses, intense expression fading into something almost...bashful. "What I mean is, you can trust us. The rest of this lot are do-gooder bleeding hearts, and I want Count Lowls' head on a pike." She pauses again, then very low and very quickly says, "And for what it's worth, I can't remember but I think I would have preferred to continue working for you."
Far too much emotional vulnerability for her taste. She turns away without looking anyone in the eyes. "Sure Allegra, come along. We're meeting Keldrin, who is apparently an old friend of mine that I don't remember because of the whole amnesia thing. I don't think he'll mind an extra face."
At the Stain, Saiya almost cries when they are both let in and Keldrin orders drinks for all of them. "Keldrin, I don't remember being friends with you but I would marry you right now if you weren't already married." She takes a long sip, (which is more of a gulp), then sighs in contentment. "Do you know, this is the second alcoholic beverage I can remember having? The first was served with a scowl and was more water than ale."
"Anyway, Keldrin, this is Allegra. Allegra, Keldrin. Allegra, I already told you about Keldrin. Meanwhile Allegra is someone we met today in the process of...you know what, you probably don't want to know. Let's just say she's okay and leave it at that. Good. Introductions over."
She leans forward, serious expression back on her face. (Although it's hard to maintain with those lyrics in the background.) "So Keldrin. I told you I'd lost my memory. Would you prefer we start with what I do remember? That's a story Allegra is also interested in, so might as well tell it now."
Unless you'd prefer I roleplay it, Saiya will basically explain what happened at Briarstone Asylum to both Keldrin and Allegra.

"Never heard of Little Hazey, sorry. I can tell you though that Winter's investigations have concluded rather spectacularly. She's in the chapel with the other survivors. It's all part of that long story I mentioned earlier. As for more recent events, Wrentz you saw what happened, and by the way Maura that is an amazing trick I really wish I could copy. However here's some not-immediately-visible info."
Saiya pulls out the unholy symbol she'd taken off the cultist and throws it on the table. "That symbol is the Yellow Sign, unholy symbol of the King in Yellow, aka He Who Shall Not Be Named, aka Dick. Because that's what I'm calling him from now on."
"Dick's domain includes decadence, disorder, and nihilism." She glances at Vixen. "That last part is probably why the cultists, including our noble couple, were willing to fight to the death. They literally believe life is meaningless." She focuses on Wrentz again. "Oh, and they have a thing for assassins, so you're probably not wrong about them planning on removing us inconveniences sooner rather than later."
Her tone is remarkably unconcerned, but there's a tightness about her eyes that suggests she's more worried than she's letting on.
"Your red-eyed foreigners are kurus, by the way. Humanoid cannibals normally native to the Shackles so I have no idea how Melisenn found them. I also have no idea how I know any of this so no point in asking."

"Sounds good." Saiya is extremely happy to leave Iris Hill behind. "We certainly have a lot to tell her."
As they walk she begins thinking about what other things they have to do today. We promised that painter, and there's shopping to do of course, plus meeting Keldrin at the Stain...looks to be a busy evening.

"So that's a no on the 'burn the place to the ground' idea, and a yes on the 'get the hell out of here idea.' Perfect." She gives the Vixen a quizical look, then heads over to the window. "I'll check, for what it's worth given that I missed the last one, but I don't see any reason to not just walk out the front door. Even if we did burn the place down, they'd still probably notice the difference between two bodies and five. They're going to know we're not dead."
Tired of traps exploding in her general vicinity, she still gives the windowsill a thorough look-over just in case. Once finished, she gives Vix the verdict and returns to the writing desk. If there's any paperwork to be found, she wants to grab it before they leave.

Saiya sprawls on the ground for a long moment, ears ringing. "Ow. Must have jinxed myself talking about getting blown up by something I missed. Sorry."
"An eleven foot pole sounds like a fantastic idea." She finally staggers to her feet, somewhat surprised that she doesn't feel injured. A glance down at her neck reveals why; the talisman she's held onto since the asylum has officially crumbled into dust. "Huh. Guess that did come in handy. Speaking of which, hold still a moment." Her hands glow softly as she directs healing energy towards both Maura and Ci Ci.

Saiya gives the trunk a quick once-over before leaving it for the Vixen. Her own attention is caught by the writing desk. "Maybe here's where they keep the '10 Steps to World Domination' pamphlets?"
Probably not, but it's worth a look.

Saiya is occasionally capable of taking a hint, and so she walks up the stairs first. "Glad to hear the 'look for traps before going in' plan stuck." She pauses. "Until of course I'm the one to get blown up by something I miss. Then I will be less glad about the situation."
It's difficult to tell given how sardonic her tone normally is, but she seems to be joking.

Saiya pauses in the middle of changing into the mithral armor. She wants to laugh at the nun comment, but knows enough about the Godclaw to take Allegra's question seriously. "Like Maura said, Count Lowls dumped us in an asylum after we somehow mysteriously all came down with group amnesia. Said insane asylum went more insane than normal thanks to people f$%#ing with things that should not be f$*!ed with. My first post-amnesia memory is me and a few other people, Vix included, waking up in cells under the loving care of a doppelganger interested in seeing what people's insides looked on the outside." She shrugs. "Not seeing the appeal in being tortured to death, we broke out."
Okay, mostly seriously.
"I know that probably doesn't make much sense, but it's a very long, complicated story. Telling it will have to wait until later. Preferably over those drinks Vix mentioned." New armor donned, she nods at the stairs. "Ready when you are."

"You sure you don't want the armor?" Saiya is a little confused by this, given how much trouble they'd had getting Vix to start wearing the angelskin armor in the first place. But then she had said she thought Milani wanted her to wear it, so maybe that was enough for her?
Gods seemed like more trouble than they were worth. She was glad she didn't remember worshiping any.
So Vix didn't want it, Allegra wore heavy armor, and neither Maura nor Ci Ci wore any at all. "Guess the armor's mine then. Everything else can go in the bag for later use and/or selling." She looks a little forlornly at the now confirmed to be poisoned wine. "Any chance there's more wine around here that's not poisoned?"

"So you want to kill us after all. I'm shocked. Truly." Saiya's voice is deadpan even as she focuses intently on her own hands. The room is far too small for her to move forward and start swinging, and she had been trying to learn an actual offensive spell...
The air writhes as it coalesces into spiders. Hundreds of them. All clinging together into a perfect line. F%+!. Yes.
She snaps her new and extremely disturbing whip towards the man. The woman was probably more dangerous, but might as well take out the one not being shielded by mirror images.

Saiya is extremely tempted by the wine. After everything they've been though in the past week, a drink (or five) sounds wonderful.
She is however not an idiot, and there are some gift horses you do look in the mouth. Particularly when those gift horses disappear and then reappear with already-opened bottles.
"No thank you." She doesn't particularly care if refusing is a social faux pas. It's not like she'd ever be welcomed at a noble's dinner party anyway. It seems everyone else is coming to the same conclusion; she sees Maura staring at the wine with a look of concentration on her face while Vix makes bad jokes about poisoned needles.
She idly leans against the wall while studying the two nobles. Baroness Daelene Spence and Viscount Asa Lalith, eh? The upper crust sure does love their titles.

Saiya supresses a smile at the look of disgust on Allegra's face. Right. Godclaw. Law and Order are literally the only thing those deities have in common. "Sounds normal enough. The chaos thing anyway. I was just surprised by her comment about Klynn; I thought she was upset about supposedly having killed him. The first time, I mean."
That may or may not answer any questions Allegra has, but there's only so long a whispered conversation can remain unobserved. Saiya makes a mental note to keep an eye on Vix for a while, (Allegra didn't see anything, but that doesn't prove nothing's going on, you can't really prove a negative...), and otherwise chalks the incident up to stress and paranoia on her part.
Said stress and paranoia gets ramped up further when the door opens and they're invited inside. Judging from their welcome so far, that doesn't seem like how things are supposed to go. She doesn't say anything, but keeps a wary eye out for traps in the doorway. Just in case.

"Mutant fish people," Saiya repeats blankly. Of course there are mutant fish people. Why wouldn't there be? "Like Vix said we encountered a weird monster with way too many mouths, but no weird fish people. Yet. I get the feeling that's about to change."
Upon hearing Vixen's suggestion for a magic wand, Saiya takes a closer look at her. "We do have that wand of lesser restoration, if you're not feeling well that might help..." She studies the Vixen for a moment then sighs. "Sure thing. One feel better wand, coming right up."
Ability Damage Healing: 1d4 ⇒ 1. Of course it was a one. I marked the use on the treasure sheet.
As the conversation continues she eyes Vix, more than a little concerned with how flippant she's being. 'A few dead guards between friends?' Okay, that's understandable. The guards were obviously Evil with a capital E. Joking about Zombie Klynn though? That doesn't sound like her. "Um, yeah. Let's check out inside. Again, so long as we don't meet too much resistance."
Quietly, if she can do so without anyone hearing, she asks Allegra, "So, you checked out Vix with your magic eye thing, right? Anything weird pop up?"
Fine with checking out the main house.

Saiya finishes buckling Allegra into her armor then steps back, pointedly not looking at the window. "Honestly I'm more worried because she's not calling for guards. That implies she thinks she doesn't need them. Talking to her probably wouldn't hurt though; like you said she already knows we're here." For Allegra's benefit, she adds, "Wrentz said Melisenn was the one to hire the kurus, aka our red-eyed cannibals. That makes me think whatever's going on here she's behind it."
"I'm fine to continue for now, but if we run into too much more resistance we should leave. No sense in becoming more 'disappearances' to be solved."

Saiya shrugs and allows herself to be scanned. (Some magic items and a neutral aura, nothing special.)
"I'll admit I would feel a bit happier about the situation if Maura gives you a once-over, she's good at telling what people are thinking." Quite literally. "Assuming she gives you the all-clear, I don't mind helping you get strapped in. Not that I'm all that familiar with this kind of armor, but I can at least get the buckles straight. Maybe it'll creak a bit less."
While she works the buckles, she says quietly, "Sorry to hear about Accuser Omari. If you don't mind coming with us back to town, I'm sure Winter and Wrentz will want to hear about what happened."
