It's taken this long but it has happened....I finally saw my own item. I've been voting in whatever spare time I get and it has taken this long but my fears have been put to rest. It feels so good.

Everyone is calling this "The Culling", being the Stargate Atlantis fan that I am I just keep picturing huge spaceships coming and taking away entries. :p
I was a touch scared when I read that the archetype had to be tied to the River Kingdoms given that I didn't know much about that area. As I read about it I was like 0.0 'my pre-existing idea fits SO well into this AHH' I feel good about this.

Personally I'm not seeing a lot of items that are screaming OH MY GOD PICK ME!! I think I've only seen 2 maybe 3 of those items. The first thing I look for though is does this item make sense or did I just read something and not find what it actually does (yes I have come across that more then once tonight) after that I try to think of where it might be useful and how often that particular item might be used. Finally I look at how an item made me feel. If I get the feeling that this is just another helm of x I won't vote for it. Honestly though a lot of these items that I'm seeing have caused me to vote for neither because they just plain don't inspire me.

Ah! Thank you, I am now in the loop :)Though I'm not sure how I missed that, I've been combing the boards in the last couple weeks. I feel kinda bad now.
I keep reading about this "rule 27" but haven't ever seen a rule 27 out there...what is it?
So the funny thing is the archetype round was actually what really made me want to give this thing a go. I had my archetype made before I even knew about this contest I even had it done before I made my wondrous item. :P
Ok so, I play pathfinder and I'm kind of new at it still. One of our players said he was doing this contest so I started looking into it the other day and after reading this thread I decided to give it a shot. So there ya go, another female in the rpg superstar :D |
