Walter activates their voice amplifier hoping to gain the attention of both their neighbour and the rest of the team.

"Lemgem! Power cable fault! Looks dangerous!"

The SRO then makes a quick assessment to determine if there is anything they can do. Can they reach the offending equipment? Can they assist someone else to do something?

I'm unsure what the distance is, or what can be done.

Walter looks with satisfaction at what they have achieve so far.

All very well, they think to themself, but we need to make this thing race worthy. Not my area of expertise, but I can give it a try.

They look at the item Lapodie has retrieved and go in search of other useful items.

Walter knows how important it is for the Society to be looked on favourably, no matter the outcome of the race. They therefore spend some time talking with the fans and track works to glean as much information regarding local causes and concerns. They use their advocacy skills as an activist to extract information and determine a subset of causes that align with the Starfinder Society, making arrangements for decals and logos to adorn their racer.

"Feed the thing the token. Let's make it to the race before it's over."

Walter had a similar thought and looks around for clues of legitimacy.

Walter looks around for local security, hoping to engage them to take care of the thug.

Walter stays alert while the others search and deal with their prisoner, staying ready and scanning for any other potential threats or hazards.

"I suggest we bind them before reviving them" Walter says as they gesture to the unconscious nuar.

"Just one more to subdue, Get that android!"

Walter then addresses the android directly, "Put your weapon down or feel our wrath!

"Keep focus on the other nuar for now!"

Sorry, it was a super busy and disrupted day so I didn't have a chance to post to change anything. I really should have reviewed the earlier posts too. Let it stand for now and I'll try to be a smarter player going forward.

Walter waves their pistol at the attackers and shouts "Get 'Em! Don't let them have that datastick!" They then steady the pistol aiming at nuar with the blue armor.

Hmm, don't look like locals. I wonder if they are associated with the race, or maybe just taking advantage of it.

Walter addresses the leader using their experience as an activist to sound like they speak with authority, yet trying to keep it diplomatic as well.

"If you have been hired as race security, you need to make sure you have been registered as such and know the correct procedures. We'd be happy to accept your escort to the check-in station. You should see our names as registered contenders on the official list. Let's get moving though so we can all be about our appointed tasks."

Walter does not want to aggravate Radaszam further by asking about the previous race and the Starfinder who needed rescuing. They will rely on the others to fill in the gaps, or do some digging through past media posts.

"Racing you say? What type of race and where do we procure a vessel?"

Clearly I need to ask around and learn more.

Hey gang. I know I used to have the chrome extension that helped keep things in better order, etc. It seems to have vanished. Does anyone have an easily accessible link to share?

Walter looks around at the members of the group. "I'm sure we will get along just fine. We're all Starfinders after all."

"Hey Doc, I'm happy for you to take your scans. I'm sure you understand that I may heal a little differently to most. I appreciate all you can do to keep me kicking, or at least squawking."

Walter doffs their fedora, straightens their pinstriped suit and adds, "As much as that appreciation is genuine, I hope your medical services are not needed on this mission, at least for the team. Just once, I'd like to go on a quiet diplomatic mission where there is no fighting and we actually manage to make lives better and maybe even bring peace."

"Yes, Sharmain and I were about to embark on a shopping expedition. Ah, well. Hopefully there will be a little time before we need to depart, though there rarely is enough. You look like a reasonable bunch. Anyone have any inside information on what to expect?"

"Yes, yes, they are sending a new recruit. Please be kind to them. Look, here they come."

Walter starts to depart as another figure comes scurrying toward the group. As they pass, the robot's voice changes to a kindly timbre, "I'd wish you luck, but I know you will be fine. Good of you to answer the call so quickly."

Walter becomes distracted, listening to a message through their comms.

"It seems I may be reassigned, stand by, you should have another agent sent to replace me as soon as possible."

Previously, when the group first gathers...
A humanoid looking robot, short but stocky and dressed in a fine, deep blue, pinstriped suit arrives. They doff their fedora, bowing respectfully to the goblin, "Thank you for your service to the Starfinder Society Mr Gob."

Turning to the others, they nod acknowledgement to each adding, "I am SRO-s 975, though I prefer to be addressed as Walter. Walter Echo, at your service. I believe I am to join you on this mission."

Later, as the group heads to the Adamantine Bastille...

With a slight intonation of curiosity Walter comments, "I did not even know this place existed. I must learn more."

Currently...
Walter looks carefully at Datch, their expression neutral, "What can you tell us of the places where the passwords are hidden and what traps or other security measures do you have in place?"

Testing - no background or botting instructions but the basics should be there.

Turns out I had some chronicle sheets to apply so Walter is actually L4. I am completing the level up and will update my online sheet ASAP.

I am still willing to change characters to a level 1 if we want to bring it down to Level 1-2 play.

I am very sorry to do this, everyone. Life just increased its challenge level and I am concerned that, like today, I won't be able to keep up with a new game. I was really looking forward to initiating this character but feel it would be best if I withdraw. :-(

This was a really difficult decision but in the end, I think it is the responsible thing to do.
