Ruby smiled as she took the dice, giving them a soft blow before tossing them out for a roll Perception: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Then she frowned,"well, maybe my luck has beena little off from using it not to die..." @Lera: Aldern nodded and smiled, "As do I, the Rusty Dragon is a exciting place, and I will make it up to you all, I will not take no for an answer. All I ask is a few days. Dear me, they are playing an odd game, I don't much care for gambling, you lose too much than you gain." he shook his head and focused back to Lera,"Would you be willing to tell me more about yourself?" Finn: I'll allow it!
F Halfling Bard/1
@Lera: "Aldern Foxglove" he smiled a bit to her, "I thank you for your kind and beautiful words, Lady Lera. As much as I wish it too, life is life, Old Red is in a better place now from all these bastardly goblins, and he gave his life for mine... a true friend" his raised his glass and took a sip, "Nonetheless, I thank you for my life." He smiled a bit brighter to her, once the gloom was out of his face, he was a very handsome fellow. With the talk of gambling, some of the people slid down to play, but so did Ruby. She grinned at Finn and Allie, "If there is one thing Halfings got, it's luck, in spades. My lap would be better than Finn,'s but I couldn't hold you on it." she laughed and slapped her hand on the table to be dealt. She looked over to Emilio and waved him over, "I think I'll take a good luck charm. Help more."

The patrons were joining in celebrations, and it soon got louder for a second as they were directing a tall Elven man to the table as well, forcing him to sit with the group, he was a fellow hero of the town. The man was fighting off goblins at the other end, and people saw his heroism as well. Sitting all the heroes of the town together. Starfall is in! With that, the celebrations carried on, with drinks following and talks had. to Allie:
Plenty men and women think your hat, and plenty are quite drunk at this rate. Lera could see the man in a corner, with the glance of recognition, he smiled lightly and raised a wine glass to her before looking back down, a lot going through his mind.

Once they finally made it to the inn, there were more cheers to be had from the town, along with people offering to buy them food amd drinks, as well as an elderly woman pushing a basket of fresh bread into Finn's hands, with the words 'Eat, eat, you are too skinny!' being heard. They were sat down at a large center table and surrounded, being bombarded with questions. How did you do it, what was going through your head, how long are you staying, and more. Ruby was helping Ameiko serve up more food and drink to them as they were getting a lot of attention, Ruby was so small she was relatively unseen, it made her job to get the stuff to them harder, but she preffered it. The halflings made her way to Emilio and slide a glass of the spiced wine to him and stood by him,"Its alcohol, its not going to kill you, I'll drink some with you" she raised a glass up to show and shot it back with ease, slappimg it down on the table,"Now drink up big boy, you're a hero." she smiled and winked before slipping away to take care of a few things.
F Halfling Bard/1
"I'm not hurt, but I've never done anything like this... I'm more of the runaway to live another day time, then again, I'm usually alone" she took a deep breath and got up, lookimg at her friends and smiled,"I think I owe you all drinks and the like. Maybe this time get Emilio to try alcohol" she laughed a bit and dusted the back of her skirt where she sat on the ground. Then, with wobbly legs, walked back towards the Rusty Dragon. On the body of the goblins, there is their dogslicers, but the commando has on his person, a poition of cure moderate wounds, studded leather for a small person, a short bow with 20 arrows, and a masterwork horsechopper.
F Halfling Bard/1
Ruby Continued her song, but set to firing an arrow to the closet goblin as well.
The goblins set to attacking as well, one to the lucky guy and the girl who keeps throwing knives at them! Attack to Finn: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
But they missed as well, their frustration being paramount at this point. The Commander shot at the Half-orc once more. Attack to Emilio: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 His arrow flies off the target once more. This damn dice bot is AWFUL!!!
F Halfling Bard/1
"I think those are the muscles of a MAN, and one of pure... explosive intensity" flirty lashes. But seriously, that's pretty standard for a barbar, and goblins are the most easiest of mincemeat. So that fact they are eruption in gore due to over double or triple health damage is pretty normal. They have 5 to 6 hp, so yeah. *GOBLINS START ERUPTING INTO GORE BOMBS FROM EMILIO*
F Halfling Bard/1
Ruby Squeaked as she ran, double time to be at Lera's side, as fast as her short legs could take her. She had her bow ready for it later, but right now, she wanted to make sure she obeyed Lera, she was more combat experienced. The goblin commander screamed,"Get the Longshanks! Cuts thems, stabs thems. Save the halfens for mes!" He holstered the horsechopper and pulled out his shortbow. Not getting close yet, ushering his men to charge first, and they did, two ran to the half-orc that tried to intimidate them, screaming, gurgling and other horrifying noises while attacking. Intimidation: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
They were making such a horrifying show, they missed, but they looked like evil little demons!! The Others rushed at the other longshanks, wanting to stab with all their might!
F Halfling Bard/1
With the angry bellow from the half-orc, the sickening crunch from his battle axe destroyed the war-singer goblin. The others looked at this, one with a knife to his arm, the other got a brutal whipping. Scared without their rock to lead and whip them into a frenzy. They screamed, turned and fled from the battle as fast as they could, this was over for them. Ruby smiled and cheered, sad she didn't get a chance to do much this time, but they stopped the goblins. That's what mattered most."Look, we did it!"
F Halfling Bard/1
The goblins were making their movement forward in a rush to meet the group head on, the song pushing them forward! Goblin Will: 1d20 ⇒ 10
As they got so close, the half-orc's powerful bellow shut them down, they looked up, frightened at this monster of a male! Ruby saw this and realized, the goblins were not such overbearing creatures, they weren't scary as she thought. Her companions were doing so much more. And so could she, she had fists! So she charged, rushing to assist and punch the female square the face! She sang louder, more passionate, more that she ever had before! She was freeing a lot backed up issues out right now, and she was finally proud to do something!
F Halfling Bard/1
Ruby was breathing rather quickly after all that, the adrenaline still flowing through her. She was so close to being stabbed by goblins, but her friends kept her safe, and for that she was thankful. She looked to Emilio as he kneeled down to her, she nodded a bit as she caught her breath. "I... I never have actually seen goblins before, I have only been here a few years, they are so... crazy! But thank you all for keeping me safe... I don't know much on fighting as much as I like due to... uh... things..." She looked around at the chaos about her. She could see the local militia and the town guard doing as best they could. But it was still a wild frenzy, goblins were everywhere. A goblin tried to jump of the roof of a building to get a mother and her child, only to break its neck on the fall. Another goblin was running around with cloth of some sort, ripping it and throwing it at people. Over by the bonfire a goblin took a stick out of the fire and swung it around wildly, hitting another of his brethren into the fire and laughed as the goblin as screaming on fire before dying. Still this one was not long for the world either as an arrow hit him in the face and into the fire. But their time of chaos was not over yet as a few more goblins made their wave in the groups direction, some with torches instead of their dogslicers and lead by what appeared to be a goblin female, whipping them into a frenzy as she sang the goblin song at the top of her lungs, and the goblin boys with her were excited to be directed to more mayhem! Ruby gasped and glared at the goblin wench, her singing was atrocious! So she began to sing once more to counteract the horrid song to boost her own allies. We'll keep the same initiative, so group first!
F Halfling Bard/1
Ruby was still going with the song, it was intense with this. She was not used to all this action, but it was kind of fun! Still lives were on the line, so she sang more, feeling magic flow through her to her friends! Ruby Continues to use Inspire Courage! Two goblins died. One in an eruption of gore from Emilio's powerful axe blow, it was intense to see as the barbarian was now soaked in goblin gore. The second's head was blasted in from the magical force of the missile, falling over with a thud. But the other two did not seem to care at all of this, they were frenzied it seemed! The goblin at Emilio's side tried to jump at Emilio's chest again, wanting to play a game on the barbarian's upper half of tic tac toe! Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Sadly he didn't get the height he needed for this, as he screamed out i goblinoid frustration! The last made a beeline for the annoying halflings, wanting to gut the little female. He did not care for the others, just the annoying one! Stick it, cut it, stab it, rip it to pieces! Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 But he was so wild with his annoyance it swung before he even reached her. Lera you get an attack of opportunity!
F Halfling Bard/1
Editted placement a bit then moved the goblins so everyone's actions work out, also the re-roll for Emilio can be done next turn Ruby looked frustrated, but she would help in some way! She began to sing for her compatriots, hoping to inspire them with courage! Inspire Courage- +1 morale to save against Charm and Fear, +1 competence bonus to attack and weapon damage rolls. Starting next turn! One Goblin laughs at Emilio's attempt at a swing, then goes for the half orc's thigh with his dogslicer! Attack roll!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
But his friend wants to join with him and jump at the barbarian swinging wildly. Attack roll!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
The final two rushed at the group, they heard Ruby singing and it was an affront to their ears, they wanted to stick the little halflings with their dogslicers! But as they approached, Lera's whip slashed at the one in front's face, making it scream out in agony and have the other bump into it from behind, halting their advance! EDIT: I looked at the posts and the map and fixed the issues, SORRY! But we are all good now!

@Lera: "I have been in Sandpoint for the past three years, Ameiko was nice enjoy to give me a job while I was... moving around to find a proper place for me" she looked away at this, she seemed uncomfortable at this. "But I am here now and I have enjoyed helping all I can to the people who have given me a place." There is quite a crowd at the stage before the cathedral, all here to enjoy and take part of the consecration. A sharp retort, like the crack of distant thunder, slices through the excited crowd as the sun's setting rays paint the western sky. A stray dog that has crawled under a nearby wagon to sleep starts awake, and the buzz of two dozen conversations quickly hushes as all heads turn toward the central podium, where a beaming Father Zantus has taken the stage. He clears his throat, takes a breath to speak, and suddenly a woman's scream slices through the air. A few moments later, another scream rises, then another. Beyond them, a sudden surge of strange new voices rises high-pitched, tittering shrieks that sound not quite human . The crowd parts and something low to the ground races by, giggling with disturbing glee as the stray dog gives a pained yelp and then collapses with a gurgle, its throat cut open from ear to ear. As blood pools around its head, the raucous sound of a strange
"GOBLINS CHEW AND GOBLINS BITE
With that, it was an eruption of chaos with people panicking and running, emptying the clearing with haste as there can be easily seen goblins under a with with the body of the recently slain canine, the one who did so licking his dogslicer as he looks back to the clearing to see who is left to attack, eyes wide and crazed with the idea causing mayhem. Three others with him who look just as crazed with pandemonium loose around them. These four looks to see those still left, and they set their sights on the group with gleaming eyes, shrill noises. Eyes locked, they make for the group, waving slicers in the air. Ruby gasps at this and clings to Emilio's head, they were her size, and she was scared they would eat her! I am going to do group initiative in hopes that it works well with how our posting works. Group: Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
F Halfling Bard/1
"Very true, I'm sure Old Quink would see you in the mornin', For sure! Let's go see the finish of the festival and I'll treat everyone to drinks! And a water for Emilio" she laughed a bit and smiled to the half-orc, then pointed down Junker's way and directly to the Cathedral,"Thataway-ho!"
F Halfling Bard/1
@Emilio:"They are from a long lived ancient civilaztion. Think... like a monument to the ancestors before you" Ruby gave him a soft head pat. @Lera:For the purposes of finally getting the train moving, we'll say starting to become sunset, and time for the concecration in about a half hour.
F Halfling Bard/1
To Lera:
The Old Light is an ancient Thassilionian ruin that stood before the great Earth all centuries ago. Little is truly known about and Varisian lore believes it was once a great lighthouse for the seas, but the Sage Brodert Quink has a much more different belief of what it is, but very few people believe the man Still he tries. @Lera:"Hard to keep an eye on things when there is something so impressive before you. It amazes me everytime I see it... it towers over the town, and its still not as it used to be. To thing the Old Light must have shined great lights across the seas..." Ruby laughed a bit.
F Halfling Bard/1
@Finn:"We'll see Finn, but in the mean time go have fun, Father Zantus will gladly happily help you. Go with them, got to help the customers anyway" she playfully waves off his flourish and smiles before getting up and setting off to help customers. Ruby smiles at him from the shoulder of the Half-orc, "Glad you could join us Finn. Welcome to the tour." The group set through the town that found the large broken remains of the Old Light, it was visibly like a colossus... Or it used to be, now standing only a 1/4 of its original high. Even now it was breathtaking. Ruby looked up, it made her feel so tiny, even on Emilio's shoulder. |
