Ruby Shortwick
Ruby was still going with the song, it was intense with this. She was not used to all this action, but it was kind of fun! Still lives were on the line, so she sang more, feeling magic flow through her to her friends!
Ruby Continues to use Inspire Courage!
Two goblins died. One in an eruption of gore from Emilio's powerful axe blow, it was intense to see as the barbarian was now soaked in goblin gore. The second's head was blasted in from the magical force of the missile, falling over with a thud. But the other two did not seem to care at all of this, they were frenzied it seemed!
The goblin at Emilio's side tried to jump at Emilio's chest again, wanting to play a game on the barbarian's upper half of tic tac toe!
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Sadly he didn't get the height he needed for this, as he screamed out i goblinoid frustration!
The last made a beeline for the annoying halflings, wanting to gut the little female. He did not care for the others, just the annoying one! Stick it, cut it, stab it, rip it to pieces!
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
But he was so wild with his annoyance it swung before he even reached her.
Lera you get an attack of opportunity!
Lera Satjian
Round 3
Seeing the goblin move in so quickly, Lera swiftly kicks in her Archaeologist's Luck and advantageously strikes at the goblin (with green circle) with her scorpion whip; Ruby's song still ringing clearly in her ears.
AoO: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 + 1 = 16
Lethal damage, if hits: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
Lera attacks the creature again, with shortened whip, careful not to strike at the two females closest to her.
Scorpion Whip Attack, with Inspire (morale bonus) and Archaeologists's Luck (luck bonus): 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4 (Maintaining Arch. Luck is a free action.)
Lethal damage, if hits: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
Argh. Lousy normal attack roll.
Sadly, the shortened whip does not find its mark (a second time) on the goblin, much to Lera's silent outrage/dismay.
Status: 9/9 HP, AC 14, Archaeologist's Luck used 2 out of 7 times.
Edited.
Allie "Cat" Calico
Allie moves around Lera and behind the goblin, striking it as it goes for Ruby.
Sneak Attack from flanking: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 + (6) = 9
Edited: Fixed again.
Emilio Cross
Emilio wants to take that tiny green head and squish it like a grape!! STOP TRYING TO SLICE HIM UP!!
Rage To Hit: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21
Rage Damage: 1d12 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 1 = 14
RAGE ACTIVE: 7 rounds remaining
He exhales a long breath, his axe head drooping to the ground as he tires quickly from straining himself in that manner. His breath is a little staggered, but he's ok.
Then he feels the cut on his chest. He slips out of his armored coat, tearing his shirt off in one fluid motion, and begins to bandage himself with his bloody shirt, but not very well. Move action to get out of armored coat.
His chest and back have scars all over them, his arms even more so. Each one a reminder of a past failure he learned from.
RAGE DEACTIVATED: 7 rounds remain, Fatigued for 2 rounds.
Could use some healing.
If enemies are still there, ignore the spoiler. That's what happens after combat, assuming the remaining goblin is dead.
Lera Satjian
I think all the current goblins are done and dusted.
Looking at Allie, Lera inclined her head and openly admired her strikes, "That was some fine work with your daggers. We worked well, together." The four goblins were no more -- Trustrike and Emilio finishing the last just moments before.
And peering back at the Halfling lass, she smiled, "Thank you for the song, Ruby, it certainly conferred a profound strength to our fighting. I am relieved that the goblins did not get to you as they had intended."
Coiling her whip, Lera looked about the square, in case there were others hiding and waiting to strike. She then bent down and examined the bodies of the two deceased goblins closest to them. She asked the questions quietly to no one in particular, "Now, why did you attack? Who was in command of you?"
Perception to look about the square: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Perception to examine the goblins: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Not necessarily looting the bodies, but seeing if there is something of note on them or indicating why they had attacked during the consecration ceremony.
@Emilio: Lera has CLW if Finn wants to conserve his channels...Will wait to see what our beloved cleric does before Lera steps in. *winks*
Lucky Finn McDonaugh
Stunned by the rapidity of the violent attack and its just as sudden ending, Finn's head spins. He looks at the dead goblins and the wound cut in his big friend. He looks back at the ladies, making sure all are uninjured. He even checks himself over to make sure the adrenalin isn't hiding some mortal wound.
Seeing only Emilio wounded, Finn sighs with relief. "I'm only still learning about healing magic," Finn says to the big orc. "Luck I can dish out, and a blessing from the Lady of Luck from time to time, but I've not had need to heal before. Maybe Lera or Ruby can use magic to mend you this time?"
Sorry that's really just role-play. Finn is still new with his power, and I don't have a heal spell memorized, just luck spells and a few buffs. He can channel, but doesn't really know it yet. I'll save that until more are injured and Finn might surprise himself.
Lera Satjian
Hearing Finn mention Emilio's wounds and not having prepared healing magic for the day, Lera left the bodies she was searching/examining, and moved on swift feet to Emilio. Laying her hand on Emilio's chest and quietly speaking the ancient words, a soft, golden light emanated and moved from her hand into the wound, knitting the cut and mending the half-orc.
CLW on Emilio: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 (Due to Outlander trait - Lore Seeker - she is adept at this spell and it is cast +1 caster level.)
"I believe you will find that has healed completely, Emilio."
To the both of them, she extended her praise, "You fought valiantly. I want to know why the goblins were here and who sent them."

Emilio accepts the healing, but at just the last moment, he grabs Lera's wrist and pushes it away, the healing light slowing before the healing is complete.
His chest heals, but a scar is left in place of the wound.
"Next time you heal me, leave a scar." He's already covered in scars, but he wanted another one. "Each scar, a memory. Each memory, a lesson. Each lesson, a stronger man I become."
He picks up his blood-soaked coat, putting it back on as he slings his greataxe back onto his back. He no longer has a shirt on, but for a half-orc with a greataxe, it doesn't look bad.
Thank you for the healing. The scar thing is just roleplay, but consider it for when you heal him in the future.
He walks back over to Ruby, kneeling so he can get to her level. "Are you hurt?"
Lucky Finn McDonaugh
Finn is suitably impressed by the magic healing granted by Lera and is hopeful, but uncertain if the gifts granted him by Desna will include that kind of touch.
Shrugging as Lera asks about the goblins motivation, Finn says "Mayhap they just a'wanted some o'this pie bein' sold 'round here,eh? I ain't a big one for figurin' out t'motivations o' goblins. Maybe it's jest a raid?"
Lera Satjian
Emilio's grab and push had caught her by complete surprise. No one had ever pushed her away like that during a healing and she did not how to react exactly. She gently rubbed at her wrist and nodded once briskly toward the half-orc. In subdued voice, she acknowledged his "lesson", "I will remember." Lera knew that Ruby had not been hurt, so she left it to the Halfling lass to answer Emilio.
Lera turned golden-brown eyes on Finn, "Did you search these two?", motioning to the two dead goblins by their feet.
Lucky Finn McDonaugh
"I-I haven't..." said Finn rather sheepishly. "Is that what one does after killin' some gobbies? Search 'em? Okay'll do" He kneels down next to the blown up goblins and begins carefully searching through their things, especially anything that could shed light on the creatures motivations.
Finn will share whatever he finds with the group and especially the keen Lera.
Lera Satjian
"Maybe it's jest a raid?"
"A raid? With so many people in town celebrating the Swallowtail Festival, wouldn't they have come in larger numbers to raid?"
She hoped they weren't the scouting party...
Allie "Cat" Calico
Looking at Allie, Lera inclined her head and openly admired her strikes, "That was some fine work with your daggers. We worked well, together."
"Thanks!" Allie replies with a smile, retrieving her first blade from the dead goblin, then wiping the blood from both blades on it's ragged clothing. "You seem pretty handy with that whip. I know of a few pleasure houses where the clientele pay heavy coin to be beaten like that," she adds with a wink.
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
With a well practiced flick of her wrists, Allie returns both blades to concealed sheathes just inside the sleeves of her blouse.
The daggers Allie held in each hand are gone. You aren't sure what she did with them.
Lera Satjian
Lera's dark brow raised at Allie's teasing quip about the pleasure houses, but did not vocally remark upon it. She had never visited the aforementioned establishments, nor would she. Lera wondered if Allie enjoyed baiting her with such remarks. The girl seemed to have perfected the art of innuendo. I have so much to learn about these new companions, Lera mused privately. "Thank you. I have practised wielding a whip."
Perception (DC 20): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
After Allie cleaned the blood from her blades, Lera noticed the girl subtlety and adroitly returning them to the concealed sheaths behind the sleeves of her blouse. With small smile, Lera discreetly remarked upon the action, "Clever" and said no more.
Allie "Cat" Calico
"A girl can't be too careful," Allie replies with with sidelong glance at the taller woman.
She saw that? Either you're getting sloppy , Cat, or she's more than just a pretty face and a bunch of scholar-babble. Keep an eye on her, she might be playing you.
As they join the men, Allie watches a Emilio removes his heavy coat, revealing a nasty ragged gash across his chest. Her eyes follow the criss-cross of scars on his chest, back, and arms.
"Not your first blood, it seems. Clearly you're no young maid when it comes to fighting," she says to the half-orc. Turning to Finn she says, "It's just as I said, split wiiiiide open."
She pulls up short of making another quip as Lera uses healing magic on Emilio, causing his wound to close cleanly.
So she's a priest, too?! Yeah, Cat, you definitely need to watch out for this one.
Ruby Shortwick
Ruby was breathing rather quickly after all that, the adrenaline still flowing through her. She was so close to being stabbed by goblins, but her friends kept her safe, and for that she was thankful. She looked to Emilio as he kneeled down to her, she nodded a bit as she caught her breath. "I... I never have actually seen goblins before, I have only been here a few years, they are so... crazy! But thank you all for keeping me safe... I don't know much on fighting as much as I like due to... uh... things..." She looked around at the chaos about her. She could see the local militia and the town guard doing as best they could. But it was still a wild frenzy, goblins were everywhere. A goblin tried to jump of the roof of a building to get a mother and her child, only to break its neck on the fall. Another goblin was running around with cloth of some sort, ripping it and throwing it at people. Over by the bonfire a goblin took a stick out of the fire and swung it around wildly, hitting another of his brethren into the fire and laughed as the goblin as screaming on fire before dying. Still this one was not long for the world either as an arrow hit him in the face and into the fire.
But their time of chaos was not over yet as a few more goblins made their wave in the groups direction, some with torches instead of their dogslicers and lead by what appeared to be a goblin female, whipping them into a frenzy as she sang the goblin song at the top of her lungs, and the goblin boys with her were excited to be directed to more mayhem!
Ruby gasped and glared at the goblin wench, her singing was atrocious! So she began to sing once more to counteract the horrid song to boost her own allies.
We'll keep the same initiative, so group first!
Allie "Cat" Calico
Allie looks around at the chaos and destruction being wreaked by the goblins.
"What in the bloody pits o' the Abyss is that racket?! If somebody doesn't shut that litte green b~#$%'s yap, I am!"
Allie runs to the corner of the stage, and crouches at the corner. She flicks her wrists and drops the daggers back into her hands.
Emilio Cross
Seeing more enemies, Emilio stands back up, shakes his head to clear himself of his fatuige, and quickly moves up to attempt to face his newer challengers.
How many rounds has it been since the end of the last combat? Just making sure I can go into a Rage if need be.
Drawing his weapon as he runs, Emilio rushes forward letting out another yell to try and draw the attention of the newer enemies.
Moving 30ft straight down so he's in their line of sight. I'll roll an Intimidate just for the hell of it. Do I get a bonus for being covered in the blood and guts of their allies?
Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 If it means anything, +2 since I'm larger than them.

On the new map, which avatar is the singing goblin/bard? Is it the one with the white circle?
At this point, Lera moves forward so she can stand defensively in front of Ruby and provide her with cover and protection. She uncoils her whip and waits for any goblin close enough (within 15 ft) to strike at with the whip and its sharp, barbed tip. Lera will move further forward if/when necessary, but for the time being she is protecting their own, stationary, singing bard/Ruby and will continue to do so.

Turning to see the new (and louder) goblin threat, Finn calls out "Lady of Luck, grant us thy blessing that we may do battle against these evil foe!"
He then advances to stand next to the whip-wielding Lera.
Move 20' as Move Action, cast Bless as Standard Action, grants +1 to attacks and vs fear effects.

The goblins were making their movement forward in a rush to meet the group head on, the song pushing them forward!
Goblin Will: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Warslinger Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
As they got so close, the half-orc's powerful bellow shut them down, they looked up, frightened at this monster of a male!
Ruby saw this and realized, the goblins were not such overbearing creatures, they weren't scary as she thought. Her companions were doing so much more. And so could she, she had fists! So she charged, rushing to assist and punch the female square the face! She sang louder, more passionate, more that she ever had before! She was freeing a lot backed up issues out right now, and she was finally proud to do something!

Lera moved quickly (25 ft) to stand between Allie and Ruby and manoeuvring her scorpion whip, lifted and struck at the goblin closest (in white circle), hoping the barbed tip would find quarry in its flesh.

Feeling the powers bestowed upon him by Finn's Lady, and seeing the green things cower in fear, Emilio finds he's better at combat than he thought!
He pulls his axe high into the air as he charges the terrible singer of a goblin.

Just realized my AC is down to 12....whoops.
Ruby Shortwick
With the angry bellow from the half-orc, the sickening crunch from his battle axe destroyed the war-singer goblin. The others looked at this, one with a knife to his arm, the other got a brutal whipping. Scared without their rock to lead and whip them into a frenzy. They screamed, turned and fled from the battle as fast as they could, this was over for them.
Ruby smiled and cheered, sad she didn't get a chance to do much this time, but they stopped the goblins. That's what mattered most."Look, we did it!"
Allie "Cat" Calico
Allie runs over to the ruined, bloody corpse of the goblin singer and begins searching her for any valuables.
"She looks to be a leader, maybe she's got something that'll give us a clue."
Once she finishes with the singer, she moves on to the other dead goblin.
Lera Satjian
As Allie jumped down from the stage and rushed over to the dead, female goblin leader, Lera scanned her eyes across the surrounds, hoping to see the fate of the other goblins at the hands of the townsfolk, guard and militia. She began winding her whip (careful of the barbs at the tip) so she could stow it on her belt.
Hearing Ruby's enthusiastic cheer upon the backs of the retreating goblins, Lera nodded, "Well done on the singing, Ruby." Lera quietly acknowledged the others near her on their efforts against the goblin raiders. "It's very good that you promptly took out their leader, Emilio."
Turning her eyes to the occupied Allie, she enquired, "Did you find anything of note on the leader?"
Emilio Cross
Letting out another held breath, his axe head dripping with goblin blood, Emilio gives a fairly rare smile.
"I just wanted that thing to stop singing."
RAGE DEACTIVATED: 5 rounds remain, 2 rounds Fatuiged.
Lucky Finn McDonaugh
As the goblins peel away leaderless, Finn lets out a big sigh. The fight could've gone much worse but for the bone-crunching hit by Emilio. If they had stayed and fought, it would've been a test.
"Seems there are goblins all over. Is anyone else in trouble?" Finn scans the immediate area for any more goblin raiders or trouble spots. He listens intently if none are immediately visible for the sounds of their chanting or the clash and cries of battle.
GM_MatsuKeiji
It seems as if things are calming down, the citizens have fled the area, the town guard is finishing up what they can with what littlw frenzy is left. But, just a bit to the north can be heard a man screaming for help, a dog barking, and a goblin yelling something. Suddenly with the pained yelp of the dog, there are goblin cheers heard. Near the north gate can be seen a group of goblins near the White Deer, with a man cradling the body of his prized hound. The goblins seem even crueler at this moment, after the passing of the dog, they only want to kill this man painfully. Behind them, mounted on top of one of the most ugly dogs you could see, was a goblin of command, waving his horsechopper with vile rule. He raised it up and let out a cry, rallying his men for one final act, the five that were with him cheered as well, making the man holding the body of his friend cringe in fear!
Same init and the are currently flat-footed because they are distracted. If anyone can make a quick map for this, much love.
Allie "Cat" Calico
Allie retrieves her dagger and stands at the sight of yet another gang of goblins.
"More?! This is like a bad dream. Especially that thing," she says, pointing at the one on the nasty dog-beast.
Emilio Cross
Still tired from his previous actions, Emilio huffs and puffs as he attempts to rush up to join TruStrike.
Only moving 30ft for this. Gonna waste a little time being fatigued so I can Rage again.
"Why...are there...so many!?"
Lera Satjian
Upon the shouts and noticing the menacing goblin leader atop the dog beast and his 5 goblin henchmen to the north, Lera pulled the shortbow from her back and notched an arrow. She then proceeded swiftly forward 30 feet, trying to stay close to her companions and hoping to spy a clear path and moment to attack. "Ruby, keep close as you can, so we may protect you."

Allie rolls her eyes and gives an exasperated sigh as her companions move to confront the gang of goblins.
Just keep your head together, and keep moving Cat. There'e no payoff if you or your new friends die.
Screwing up her courage, she runs after them.
