Erai wrote: I haven't found this one in an FAQ yet (if it is in there, a link would be much appreciated :) ), so here goes:
I am running a "Season 0" scenario next weekend. Among the PCs, there are Grand Lodge members, and a Sczarni- however, there are no faction missions for those factions in the scenario.
So, what I am wondering is: what should I do with the Prestige Award here? Is there a way for these players to pick up PP at all, or are they just out of luck?
Erai, if you are not familiar with the Guide to Organized Play, please read it before running a game. Faction missions are no longer used unless they are explicitly called for in the Secondary Success Conditions document. This is a fundamental function of Society play that is important for GMs to understand, and there are other functions that are equally fundamental. You can learn about them by reading the documentation for the PFS campaign.

They don't.
If you have any questions about PFS legality, please consult the Additional Resources page. Assuming that something is legal will only lead to disappointment.
You just asked this question a few days ago. You should consult that thread for answers.
The Morphling wrote: I can't find anything that says the Bones mystery for Oracles is banned in PFS, but a local GM mentioned recently that it's not legal.
Is it banned?
Sometimes, GMs like to make things up. When that happens, I like to print out the documentation showing they're wrong, roll it into a tube, then thwap them on the nose with it, while saying firmly (but lovingly), "Bad GM! Bad!"
Consult the additional resources list.

If it's a question about whether the feat is legal in PFS look in the Guide to Organized Play and the Additional Resources page. There, I fixed it for you. Amen.
aeontrin wrote: If your PC was Shadow Lodge or Lantern Lodge for the year until the finale scenarios and then transferred to a new faction, do you select the boon for the old faction or the new one? The text of the Chronicle wrote: If the character earned 6 or more Prestige Points with more than one faction, the character receives the boon for the faction with the greatest number of earned Prestige Points, or the faction of the player’s choice in cases of ties; a character may receive only one boon. If you earned all your prestige in Shadow Lodge, you would get the Shadow Lodge boon. If you earned 6PP in SL & 7PP in GL, you would get the Grand Lodge Boon. If you earned 6 & 6, it would be your choice.

Since the only non-magical equipment from that AP is from the player's guide, which is free, you can just download it and see if it is listed on the relevant pages.
Eric Saxon wrote: RtFM, like I said, I didn't see it there, that means I DID look.
I just couldn't find anyone on the board asking if it was not legal or if someone in the staff forgot to include it.
If it's not there, it's not legal. That's how the Additional Resources page works.
No. Consult the Guide to PFS Organized Play for more information.

Because I am feeling generous:
1. Yes.
2. See page 30, "Applying Credit," paragraph 3.
3. See page 35, paragraphs 1 & 2; refer to page 29 if the scenario/module dichotomy is confusing.
4. See page 39, "Game Master Rewards."
Xuttah wrote: Sorry, I'm pretty new to GMing PFS scenarios, and I have a question about the tier structure for this adventure. There are tier 1-2 and tier 4-5 subtiers. Does this mean legel 3 characters cannot gain credit for playing? I'm going to be running this next week, and any clarification would be appreciated. The subtiers are meant to be utilized for level-appropriate parties. The method of determining which should be used is discussed in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, which you should read if you are going to run PFS scenarios for credit. Feral wrote: I recall seeing an option when getting credit for playing/running a santioned AP for players to get a chronicle with scaled down gold for a level 1 character.
Did I fantasize this? If not, what are the specifics?
I just finished running book 1 of Rise of the Runelords and I have a few characters that are brand new to PFS.
For scenarios, it's 500gp. For modules, it's 1,398gp.
Feral wrote: Where is that explained? I couldn't find it anywhere. The Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. Page 29; the very first page of the "Sanctioned Modules and Adventure Paths" chapter, which I would recommend investigating for useful information on how sanctioned modules and adventure paths work with Pathfinder Society Organized Play.
See also pages 6 and/or 38 for the same rule applied to scenarios, if needed.

Specifically, read the chapter that explains how to GM.
Don't skim it. Read the whole thing. Because it's in there, in plain English. And if you can't find it, you haven't actually read the chapter thoroughly enough to be GMing for PFS.

Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, page 21, 'Replaying Scenarios' wrote: There is one exception to these rules: All Tier 1 scenarios and Tier 1–2 sanctioned modules are available for unlimited replay with a 1st-level character for credit. The sanctioned modules can also be played with a 2nd- level character once for credit. You may continue to replay the sanctioned modules with 1st-level characters after playing through them with a 2nd-level character. GMs can receive another Chronicle sheet each time they run one of the Tier 1 scenarios or Tier 1–2 sanctioned modules. No character can ever have two of the same Chronicle—the Chronicle must be applied to a different character each time.
There should be a "report a problem" link on your sessions list. I would recommend clicking that link to report a problem.

PFS FAQ wrote: In order to use additional resources for your character, you must bring a physical copy of the book with you or printouts of the appropriate pages detailing cost (if any) and explanations for each feat, item, spell, prestige class, and so on that you use. One need not prove ownership of said material but they must be from a legally obtained PDF or book printed by Paizo Publishing; content reproduced in other sources under the Open Gaming License (such as an online reference document or a homemade omnibus) is not legal with regard to use in sanctioned Pathfinder Society play. Since the core assumption for Pathfinder Society Organized Play is the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook, Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Pathfinder Society Field Guide, and the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary, we cannot assume that every Game Master will have the products included in the Additional Resources list. As such, it is each player's responsibility to bring to the game any necessary rules for running his or her character so that GMs may properly adjudicate the game during play. http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fq

This list contains all the things that are legal. So if something is not listed, it is not legal.
On the voting page, above every pair of entries on which you are voting, you will see this text:
Quote: Can I discuss the items on the messageboards?
You may not discuss specific entries on the messageboards during the voting period. If you see any messageboard posts that discuss specific entries, please flag them as "Breaks other guidelines."
It may in fact be ideal to read all of the rules presented in that space.
You have posted this thread is in the General Discussion forum devoted to Pathfinder Society organized play. It should go in the Advice forum.
(Yes, I flagged it, but I suspect the OP didn't realize that, so I'm explaining it to him (or her).)

From the FAQ:
http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fq#v5748eaic9os7 wrote: How do poisons work in Pathfinder Society Organized Play?
Any character with the Poison Use class ability can purchase and use poisons. For now, they are the only classes that have a list of “always available poisons” (those noted below)—no other class may purchase poisons unless they appear on a chronicle sheet. Alchemists, ninja, and poisoner rogues may only purchase the following poisons from the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook:
Giant wasp poison
Large scorpion venom
Medium spider venom
Shadow essence
Small centipede poison
Paladins, per their code of conduct, may not use poisons, but they don’t necessarily view the use of poisons as an evil to be opposed—it’s simply something their code prohibits them from doing themselves.
Alchemists and rogues with the poisoner archetype and the Master Poisoner ability can use Craft (alchemy) to produce poisons (see "How can alchemists craft in Pathfinder Society Organized Play?").
...
How can alchemists craft in Pathfinder Society Organized Play?
Alchemists can use the Craft (alchemy) skill to produce items with their Alchemy ability. Follow the Craft rules on pages 91–93 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook as well as in the alchemist’s Alchemy ability description. Any item created must be properly noted on that scenario’s Chronicle sheet. Under "Items Bought", note the amount of gold spent and the item created. Alchemists are assumed, for Pathfinder Society Organized Play, to carry the necessary items and tools with them to use available resources to create alchemical items. If they have a base of operations from which to do so, they may use an alchemy lab to gain the +2 bonus on their Craft (alchemy) check. Alchemists may never sell any of their created items nor may they trade them to another PC. However, they may allow other PCs to borrow or use items they’ve created (so long as the alchemist class ability being used allows them to do so).
