Kitsune

Pathfinder Society

Curious if this race is allowed. Also if anyone has a good link to a rules page I would appreciate it.

No. Consult the Guide to PFS Organized Play for more information.

You can get a boon to play one, so they're not banned you just have to jump through a few hoops. See the boon trading thread for more details.

Huh, first time I've seen one of these threads where they DON'T misspell it "kitsume"...

There are two Kitsune boons. One is Kitsune specific, and one has Kitsune, Wayang, and Nagaji or some such.

So, I don't really get the boon idea.

Wasn't part of the point of pathfinder society so people started out on even ground?

Some of the players are poor. If you can't afford to attend conventions are you just out of luck? Seems a little hypocritical to the whole fair play idea.

Some people do indeed feel that way.

One: You don't have to have a con-that-charges-entrance to get these boons. If money is a concern--and I hear you--you can make a local "minicon." If you have enough tables at a single game "day" (it can be all weekend), you can get convention support. Working with your local coordinators and stores can make that happen.

Two: There is some consideration of alternate ways of handling this. Wander over to this blog, read the whole discussion, and if you have some ideas that haven't been covered, that would be a good place to put them.

(I'm telling you to read the whole conversation because your statement I quoted above is made, almost word for word, every six months or so. If you just go over and restate it, you won't accomplish anything. But the campaign coordinators love it when people contribute useful ideas.)

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt the latest revision of the additional resources page state...

"The boon restriction to create a kitsune, nagaji, and wayang was removed at the start of Season 6 and all three are now available for open creation.?
There by removing the previous boon only allowed play?

Well...you are posting 2 years after the previous poster. The guide has changed since then. They were not legal then, but they are now.
