"Bagheera!" Roshan cries out. She casts a spell, wreathing her hand with warm white light, and runs forward, but her cat lies in the middle of the battle with no way to reach at the moment.

Casting CLW, moving; holding the charge. I'm sure I'll have someone to use it on next turn, one way or another.

I don't think it's an issue of block initiative so much as it's still an issue of you've expressed OOCly a tactical plan that none of us have any IC way of knowing about, because your character won't communicate it ICly.

"Bagheera!" Roshan cries out as her cat is struck. She hurries forward, even while the cat takes an instinctive step after the foe that hurt her so.

Single move for Roshan, standard to cast CLW; holding the charge.

Bagheera viciously attacks the halfling.

The cat yowls in an unholy fashion, scratching and spitting.

Bagheera: 4/11 HP

I'm not drinking it, I'm administering it to Kagar. It doesn't do me any any good.

"Bagheera! Go get them!" Roshan shouts, and the panther surges forward.

"Kagar! Open wide!" Roshan cries, and snatches a bottle from her belt, uncorking it and straining on tip-toe to reach the big guy's mouth.

Move to draw, standard to administer potion to ally. (Mage Armor)

Bagheera bites at the fellow with the funny mustache. I'm sort of assuming the woman got dropped off Hugo's attack

Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 I assume that misses.

Roshan peers down with Hugo (and possibly Kagar). "...maybe if you lower me to the crate before it sinks entirely, we can get it open and get the important bits out?" she says.

Roshan knots the rope onto her belt to better leave her hands free as she tries to cross. "One of you please hold the other end!" she chirps.

"They don't appear to be hurting us. Let's ignore them and work on getting this crate," Roshan says.

She goes with her original plan-- taking off her hide armor and pack, so that she is in just her simple clothes, and then testing if the plank will bear her own weight as she crosses to the crate with a rope in hand. Sans gear, Roshan weighs somewhere between 30 and 40 lbs

"Bagheera, there's rats--" Roshan begins, but Bagheera doesn't even need the order. This is her natural prey!

The cat closes the short distance (5-ft step) and tears into a rat with teeth and claws.

Roshan draws her wand of healing and waits to see how the battle unfolds.

Roshan digs a sturdy hemp rope out of Bagheera's saddlebags, looking thoughtful as she surveys the crate.

Taking 10 on the knowledge nature for a 17

Roshan wrinkles her nose. "Rats have been in here... very large rats," she says. "Icky things. They could still be in here."

Roshan holds up the rope. "If I take off my armor and pack and things, I'm pretty light-- under forty pounds. We could see if I could climb out there-- tied to another rope in case I slip-- and if I can get out there without the planks breaking, then I could tie the rope around the crate?"

I believe several people who have darkvision have made perception rolls to look for our marked crate. Have they found it?

"I can't see in the dark," Roshan murmurs back to Kagar, "but if you all can, feel free to look around. I won't risk more light than what's filtering in already if you don't want me to."

Roshan looks around inside the warehouse, hunting for the marked crate. Bagheera pads behind her, nosing at her shoulder ever so often.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Roshan turns at the sound of the splash, her brows furrowed. She realizes they've misplaced Faeria.

"Oh."

Pause, frown. "Hm, well I suppose she wouldn't have done that if she didn't have some way of getting herself out of the situation. Let's go inside while people are busy looking at her."

Roshan opens the door and sidles inside the warehouse.

Roshan looks back over her shoulder, then back to the fisherman. "--not a thing!" she says brightly. "Have a nice day!"

She trots for the building's door, not taking Faeria's offered arm.

Roshan rubs a little at her forehead as Faeria shouts at the man and keeps shouting at him even when she gets closer.

She trots after.

"Please do not mind her. The sun is getting a little to her!" she says at a normal volume. "I wonder, would you like to make a little extra coin and be able to take the day off, sir?"

Roshan shrugs. "A boat going beneath will need to get from the surface of the water, to the underside of this hole; that will mean climbing a rope, at the very least. It seems complicated..."

At the words from the fisherman, she offers a bright smile and a wave.

"Hello!" She avoids answering the question, instead saying, "Has anyone been around this building lately?" She fishes out a handful of silver coins from her pouch as she speaks.

"Locked," Roshan says with a shrug. "I can't pick a lock. Windows it is!"

Roshan rides Bagheera over and dismounts again, skritching the big cat behind the ears. "Yes, we can get fish for you later... I know, there's lots of fish smells here..."

She looks the building over, humming to herself. "Well, let's try that door, I suppose?"

At Faeria's rambling story, Roshan's brows dance a little. "Or maybe we can enter from below, if that holds true..."

All the same, she tries the the handle of the door.

"I feel it too," she murmurs to the others, regarding the sense of eyes on them. "Perhaps the Society is watching how we carry out our tasks!"

She wrinkles her nose through the briefing, finding both the man and the mission not entirely to her taste. Still... if this is what the Society needs done...

"Are there normally guards at this warehouse?" she asks suspiciously.

Roshan is just as glad to leave the house behind, shaking her head. She eagerly jogs back to Bagheera, lazing in the sun, and rubs her hands on the warm-belly fur of the big black cat. "I don't like it in the city either," she murmurs to the cat. "Come on, though-- maybe soon we'll have something else to do!"

Roshan's brows draw together, and her tiny face looks annoyed rather than sad like before-- both for the dismissive comment and for what she feels.

"Yes," she agrees flatly with what the others are saying. "You're given medicine to use it, not hoard it. But I'll be sure to let Ollystra Zadrian know how much weight you gave my opinion."

"You also don't seem to like gnomes much," Roshan says in a small, sad voice.

Sorry, had a work deadline slowing me some.

Haha. We are the most charming party.

"No, no more tricks," Roshan sighs to Faeria. "Perhaps you ought to talk to one of the children. You have a certain.... weird charm about you. They don't seem to like me."

Roshan returns to the sitting room, depressed.

As Faeria is our only character with a positive Charisma mod, and all.

Roshan tries to sidle out of Auntie's notice and looks for any child that might be by his or herself. Perception?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

If she finds one, she gives him an impish grin. "Wanna see a magic trick?"

Colored balls of purple light flow upward from the gnome's hands, and flicker around the room accordingly.

"You like it here?" Roshan asks as she 'juggles' the little globes of light. (Dancing lights)

Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 3 So then the children presumably try to light Roshan on fire as a witch...

Roshan looks upset, lower lip quivering a bit. "That's... that's mean of her," the gnome says in a small voice. "I can't help that Bagheera sheds all the time..."

Roshan blinks upwards at Faeria patting her hair into place, or possibly out of it, really. "...yes?" she says uncertainly.

She murmurs quietly, "I don't think she wants us to talk to the children... that seems funny, to me. Maybe someone can hold her attention while others try and ask a few questions of the little ones?"

Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Roshan frowns at the appearance of the old woman, but thanks her kindly for the time as she slips inside with one last 'stay' to Bagheera. Roshan dutifully wipes her feet before entering.

Is there a description or otherwise of the rooms of the house? Didn't see it in the map links.

Roshan asks where the medicine should be set down-- on the hopes she might be able to put there herself, and check what sort of other supplies are there for the children's injuries. She asks one child if everyone gets sick often and whether they use a lot of medicine.

Roshan smiles to see that the girl is in good condition, then blinks up at the old woman's ignoring of her. She clears her throat and stands on tiptoe, but comes short of waving her hand to get the old woman's attention, at least.

"Yes! My friend has a gift for you! That bottle! But we also have medicine, and Ollystra Zadrian presents her regards. May we come in, ma'am?"

I think Faeria is the only one of us with any sort of Charisma. Your Sense Motive is by far the best in the bunch.

Noticing all the tiny cats inside, Roshan turns to Bagheera. "Stay!" she says with a little tap of one hand to Bagheera's nose. "No trouble, just lie and be good girl. The little kittens would be afraid of you."

More loudly, she calls into the house, "Hello! We are Pathfinders, here with a delivery from Ollystra Zadrian! May we come in?"

As she speaks, Roshan looks over the girl at the door with a smile, but also ascertaining if she seems well-fed, dressed in clean clothes, and the like.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Roshan glances over at the tummy rumbling. She stops at a food cart as they go and gets a kebab with roasted onions and tomatoes and bits of unidentifiable meat of some sort (the vendor said it's chicken; Roshan doesn't really believe that) which she hands to Roshan.

"Here, this stick will taste better."

"Well, that may be helpful, I guess," Roshan says brightly. "You want to hold onto it, Faeria?"

She shrugs a little at the idea of telling falsehoods. "I'm okay at it, I suppose! Animals know when people lie, and I like animals."

Decent Wis here but no ranks in Sense Motive, so it'd just be a +3.

Roshan pats Hugo on one calf that's probably bigger than she is. "It'll probably wear off in time," she says hopefully. "Anyway it's a really pretty blue."

She agrees the orphanage is a good location to try next.

As they walk, she looks sidelong at Faeria. "If you're hungry, I could get you something to eat," she says uncertainly. "I wouldn't want any of my friends to starve."

To everyone, she adds, "The stick is magic but I don't know what it does. Faeria, can you tell?"

No Spellcraft on Roshan.

With Zadrian, Roshan listens wide-eyed. "Oh! What a noble task. I will happily take this medicine over. We'll get it done, don't you worry, ma'am!"

Back from convention now, sorry.

"Well done!" Roshan cries to the others. "There's the map we needed, and we can get out, so I suggest we do so. I'm sure you won't stay that color for long, gentlemen! And even if you do it's rather fetching."

She casts detect magic on the stick as she calls Bagheera to her side again.

As a heads-up, I'll be at DundraCon from Friday to Monday. Please bot me if I'm holding anything up in that period. I'll try and check in at nights.

Roshan takes the jeweled-scepter key and tries it on the door, trusting the others will try the gold one on the remaining chest.

(If necessary, Roshan is willing to climb to the top of that pyramid, as she don't weigh that much.)

"Perhaps if one of you big-folk stood on another big-folk's shoulders?" Roshan suggests brightly.

Roshan's yelp at the snake's appearance similarly barely gets a chance to be heard before the creature's dealt with. She blinks.

"...is your nose okay?" she asks Kagar. "...ooh, new key. There's a keyhole on this steel one, too, and a really thin crack. Let's try the acid-flask key in this one while you attempt that other one."

Roshan does so.

Scratching at her head, Roshan inspects the steel box more closely while the others look at the basket.

Perception for anything on the steel box: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

"--that's clever," Roshan says with interest, watching to see if the acid on the cube has any effect.

She rubs at her chin and looks back to Kagar. "Not really my thing, but..."

Kn nature?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

"I suppose you're right," Roshan sighs to Kagar's words.

She shrugs and tries the key in the red box, while trying to keep an eye on Faeria as she's not sure what the other woman might take it into her head to do. She orders Bagheera to come close.

Roshan fusses with the box, sideyeing Faeria.

"But you didn't open it," she says with another frown. "We've been in this room with you the whole time."

After attempting to open the box, Roshan realizes it's illusory and sighs. "It's an illusion," she says to the others. "Perhaps in her mind she opened it. I'm not sure how someone who can't distinguish reality from her own dreams actually made it through the three years of Pathfinder training."

She moves to the lacquered box instead.

"Well done!" Roshan tells Hugo. "...well except for the acid. Do you need any healing? Let's try that in the copper-banded chest."

Roshan moves there to try the key in it.

Roshan seems less bothered by the whole locking-in thing. "This is a test," she says serenely. "Picking the lock to exit would show we understand how to pick locks, but not how to solve whatever riddle awaits here."

She leaves the boxes aside and leads Bagheera over to the chair-with-jar and the basket. "What is in these, I wonder..."

Roshan casts Detect Poison on the jar and its liquid, trying to identify it.

Roshan rides Bagheera into the room, looking around curiously at this odd errand of map-finding.

"No, thank you," Roshan says politely to the Countess. "We must be moving on. Come, Bagheera!"
