Okay, my avatar is the about the right skin color at least. Really wish we could do custom avatars on Paizo. :(
Pristi
They can't really do custom avatars because someone would make theirs porn.

Von-Dai Cress, reporting in.
I agree wholeheartedly about the avatars, both sides.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone brings to the table! Should be a blast!

Avatar - I entirely agree.
That background works, but not with her former master.
What do you mean?

Well, lots of sites do allow custom avatars, and yes occasionally people try to do pornographic avatars, but they end up getting their account permanently banned. If they put it in their terms ON the avatar page that such avatars will get your account closed, only the very stupid would actually do it, especially if they have purchases.
Pristi
Those sites do IP filtering on new accounts. Paizo doesn't, because a lot of their customers have the same IP addresses (colleges, etc). Without a way to specifically ban someone, trying to ban for something like that is a whack-a-mole. You ban that account, and they sign up immediately with a new account.

I played in a game with someone who did this awesome chrome/firefox add on that let us basically do custom avatars in the browser. It was a neat fix. I could reach out to him to see if he is willing or still supporting it?

OH, right I Figured he dropped me off and then left, since that's kinda what you said would be the case earlier...

Not exactly, more like a hybrid between Groot and Rocket with a bit of Scotty and Antillies thrown in. :)

For a rough orientation of how Tyron acts think Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory in Legends of Tomorrow with a shade more on the sociable and a few shades less on the pyromaniac.
Pristi
For a rough orientation of how Pristi acts :
Playing Pet : Like a cute raccoon.
With people who know he's not a pet : Like a Mogwai from Gremlins.
With people who it considers enemies : Like an especially cunning and bloodthirsty Gremlin from Gremlins.

The red thingy is coming towards the blue thingy....I think we...we're the blue thingy.
Gods above I adore that film

As an fyi I am finally almost done with my gear, including, apparently my OWN r4...which is just stashed in my speeder. I will roll up quirks and what not tonight or in the AM and get my final exhaustive solider list posted.

Droid Quirk: 1d20 ⇒ 5 Reliable - Gains the Trustworthy Feat
Pristi
Welllll.... 18 is Untrustworthy.
If you're rolling two quirks, I find it hilarious that you get Untrustworthy for one and Reliable which gives the trustworthy feat. :)
Tyron Josto
Oh weird I'm honestly not sure how that happened.
I only meant to roll for one quirk so I guess I will run with Untrustworthy since I rolled that one first.
Pristi
Honestly I'd have preferred that one. :)
Tyron Josto
Welcome aboard!

Sorry folks, snowpacalypse 2017 merged with my move this last weekend and really bad service resolution from Comcast. I'm actually back to a house, with Internet and not caring boxes in the rain. Posts to resume tomorrow.

I apologize for not posting in a few days. Weekends will probably be a little slow for me. Normally I would be making a post now, however I have had a very long, exhausting, and frustrating few days. With the mood I am in, and how tired I am, I might do something stupid as a GM. So, I am holding off until tomorrow after I have had some time to relax. Sorry all.
Von-Dai Cress
Waiting patiently is no problem. Real life happens.
Von-Dai Cress
No worries. Get everything up and running when you can.
Tyron Josto
I've had that happen to me too not long ago, its a pain. Good luck on getting everything up and running.
Pristi
Appears we may have lost the GM.

Awww mmmaaannn

He hasn't posted on the forums since his last update about his computer. I'm willing to continue being patient if you guys are.

As long as you're aware it might have been a troll. There's at least one who gets off on trolling people. I went into this assuming it was probably one. Hope it's not, but figured I'd chance it for a Star Wars game. :)
Von-Dai Cress
Do you play Saga Edition at all? I've seen several Saga Edition games and recruitments. I'm actually running one.

Never got the rules, so without the rules, it's hard to play/build characters. :( I'd already spent $100's on the RCR, I wasn't going to throw them all out and go re-buy all the same books over again that fast. I've stopped buying Wizards because they seemed hell-bent on resetting all the books every 5 years, and pushing out crap books every month. One of the things I like best about Paizo, they haven't done 'Pathfinder 2.0' yet.
Von-Dai Cress
That's fair. I only had the core RCR, so it wasn't a huge investment for me. FWIW, there are some pretty useful online sources if you were to Google it. Still, RCR is pretty fun.
Jen'tara Rhee
Yeah, I have quite a few RCR books. No Saga books. Course, I have PDFs of the entire West End line. IMO that's still the superior system for Star Wars. The worst case of system changes in my opinion was how the Charon went from this nasty alien race to be feared to just another race players can play. In the West End adventure Otherspace they were featured in, don't know if you all play the game or not, but you had usually 12 Racial Dice then +8 Class Dice. Charon had 25 racial dice. Then they got +8 (or more! For example, Darth Vader didnt' have published stats, but if he did, he'd maybe be +12-16) class dice! Yeah. They were that insanely powerful, but that was part of the point... they were unstoppable... it was a 'stealth adventure' where you had to escape from them without giving them hyperspace technology and without actually fighting them, because if they caught you or even worse found 'our' universe, it was over. They are from an alternate universe where they are the only species because when their home planet fell into a black hole, they kinda went... nuts... and decided that death of the univese was their calling... and so they did just that. They killed their entire universe.

Never played it myself, but I do have all the old WEG books. The only major issue I had with the WEG system was that Willpower was a skill, not a stat. *eye roll*
