Here is Steinolf Stone I need to completely rework his crunch because he was a slayer, but I am looking Ranger. Background: My mother, Clair Stone, is a Taldorian woman born in Oppara to her merchant parents. As she grew older she learned the trade from her parents as they prepared to become traveling merchants. By the time she hit her late teens her family and her self were fully fledged traveling merchants, caravan and all. They traveled all of Golarion bringing goods and services to everyone from small hamlets to capitals of entire nations. During a stay in Trollheim in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, Clair’s eye caught the attention of one of the Trollheim citizens, a Ulfen man named Steinolf. Over the few weeks as they traded for gems, furs, and silver, Clair and Steinolf made many late night rendezvous.By the time it became obvious that my mother was pregnant both Trollheim and Steinolf were a forgotten past, but not to Clair. Fortunately enough, this is where my journey began. The family tried to continue to travel but with a new born baby on the way it became difficult for Clair. The family eventually took part of their merchandise and coin and set up a small shop in Oppara to operate and care for her newborn son, Steinolf. As I grew, my mother tried to acquire books and items that told of both her heritage and my fathers heritage. My most prized possessions that I was gifted from my mother are my Battleaxe, Heaven Pick, and Round Wooden Shield. All were similar to the ones my father used. Having Ulfen blood in my veins made it to where I stood out in Oppara. My pale skin and red hair made it to where I was picked on in my younger years. This is where I learned my skills as a hunter, guide, and trapper. Once puberty came around I was no longer the target of bullies. I quickly grew into a man of 6’3” and got involved with the guard of the capital. This helped bring in a little coin for my mother and I, but I still had a passion for travel and adventure. Late one evening someone broke into our shop and it woke my mother from our house above. The next morning when I awoke I came down to find my mother dead in a pool of blood along with our shop ransacked and robbed. Instinctively, all of the training I had learned about tracking down a prey kicked in. This time the prey was a person, but I rationalized it that he was just a different kind of animal. I quickly took the gear I might need and left in pursuit. It would have normally not been so easy, but this animal left a slight trail of blood in his wake, my mother put up a fight. It was just like following a deer in the woods that had been injured by an arrow. It made similar stumbles and falls on its way to freedom. It took a week to find the animal, but weeks for him to heal up before I could challenge him. While I stalked my prey I began to learn things about him, he had no friends and family, he was skilled at snares and other traps, and quick with a short blade two of them. What is that old phrase? Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer? I remember my mother telling me about how my father would fight using both his weapon and shield. Maybe this man with two swords could show me how to do this kind of fighting. I approached him at his camp sight off the road a bit and that is when I met my first mentor in life, Nintos. But, that is a story for a different day.... 4713 AR on Oathday, 17th Earstus
Ability Score: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 4) = 17 14
It never hurts to roll a few d6, why not just see…
I am interested in the PBP. I haven’t played Eberron since my 3.5 days, oh the memories... ANYWAY.... Looking at the Eberron stuff above, I would be interested in playing some sort of Soulknife. Empty Vessels are not on the allowed list, but that would have been a fun first choice. Since we are all going to be knowing each other beforehand I would pick a race that tied in easily. Unless an Empty Vessel would be allowed... ;-)
Well the nice thing is Unchained Barbarian doesn't gain the ability score bonuses, they just gain a flat temp HP bonus per HD. Let me know what you think of my character submission and feel free to shoot me a PM if you want to work in concept/background stuff. I put something small together, something that could easily be fleshed out to fit the world better. Beyond the players guide I don’t know much of the land.
Here is my submission. I ended up going with a Tharag Thulen Savage Unchained Barbarian. Gornash the Second
I am very interested. I have a few games that seem to be dwindling out, unfortunately. I am looking at a Tharag Thulen Savage Barbarian. One thing I was curious about is if you would allow the Unchained Barbarian? That link goes to the class and one of the biggest difference is it gives a flat +2 bonus to things instead of the +4 to Str and then go figure out the math from there. I am cool doing either version of the Barbarian, but who doesn’t like simpler math?
Disregard... I just reread and saw where it talks about the languages...
This sounds like fun! I have been playing Pathfinder since the Beta test, 10ish years ago. I am in my mid-30s. I am in Central Time Zone, so GMT-6 Lendal: Human Monk mid 20’s Gornash: Half-Orc Barbarian late teens Question: How fleshed out is the world? Will this be something we will be building as we go, or is it a world already created?
1: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 3) = 13 12
18, 13, 12, 11, 10, 8 Interesting stat line. I think I might go Human Unchained Rogue/Bard. I will get something written up shortly. When is the deadline?
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 6) - 1 = 11
14, 12, 12, 11, 11, 8 Hummm... thats rough to see when the first guy who rolls gets 2 18s and a 15. Lol. I’ll figure something out.
I did some looking and the only thing I could find was the first link here. Would this work for me creating a character? Very Interested.
Looking to go with an Android Living Weapon Brawler. 18, 16, 15, 10, 10, 8
Background: 1)3 concepts that explain your character Going with an Android guardian of some kind. He was created to protect the creator who he calls “Master.” Master was a planes walker who needed someone to keep a look out for him while he sleeps, you can never trust all those meat bags. Master was wronged a lot in his life, since I was created we were seeking items that were taken from him. It’s odd that people who live in such nice manors would steal from Master, but that must be how they gained their wealth. 2)2 secrets: one your character keeps from the party, one kept from your character Secret kept from party: Above all else he wants to find Master. Does not have loyalty to any other meat bags. Secret kept from character: Master was a thief. They were both captured, but the android had its memory wiped by Master so he couldn’t be a witness to the crimes. He just remembers that he must find Master, the creator. 3)3-5 people with ties to your character (this one isn't needed as much- but you may apply as many or as few as you like) Master: The creator. I owe him everything. 4)1 goal you'd like your character to achieve, 1 goal you'd like the party to Achieve, and 1 goal you'd like to achieve as a player. Character goal: Find out that other meat bags are worthy to be friends.
5)I'd like 1 Fear your character possesses as well as 1 Flaw and 1 Positive Trait Fear: He has holes in his memory and knows someone has tampered with him. What did they remover, what does someone not want him to remember. Flaw: Because he was created to protect Master he is wired not to back down from a fight. His purpose is to allow Master to be safe. Positive Trait: Doesn’t suffer from weaknesses that meat bags possess. Feelings of fear, sadness, worry. Empathy. There is only the task at hand.
Try number 2 Roll 1: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6, 5) = 19 = 16
I think I’d be sticking with this stat line. I will come up with something today/tonight.
Yes! Warforged for the win!! I haven’t played a Warforged since our playground crossed from 3.5 into that Pathfinder Batatest 10ish years ago. Rolling for states. Roll 1: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 3) = 16 = 14
If you are still looking here is the crunch for a Human Conjurer Specialist. I saw that specific books were allowed for races, spells and feats. It didn’t say anything about classes unless I missed it. This is the Specialist Wizard variant from Unearthed Arcana. If it is not allowed, I would do something very similar using the CORE Wizard class. If picked I would need to flesh it out and pick out spells. Human Conjurer Specialist Wizard Level 1 Str 10, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 18, Wiz 10, Cha 10 Rapid Summoning (Ex):
Any time a conjurer using this variant casts a summon monster spell, its casting time is 1 standard action rather than 1 full round. (Creatures so summoned can only take a standard action in the round they are summoned.) Conjurers using this variant gain the normal benefits from enhancing a summon monster spell with the Quicken Spell feat. A conjurer using this variant permanently gives up the ability to obtain a familiar. Enhanced Summoning (Ex):
At 1st level, a conjurer using this variant gains the Augmented Summoning feat for free instead of the Scribe Scroll feat. At 5th level, the conjurer's summoned creatures become particularly tough to dispel. Add 2 to the DC of any caster level check made to dispel the conjurer's summoned creatures. At 15th level, this addition to the DC increases to 4. At 10th level, the conjurer's summoned creatures gain an additional +2 bonus to Strength and Constitution. At 20th level, these bonuses increase to +4. These bonuses stack with those granted by the Augmented Summoning feat. A conjurer using this variant does not gain bonus feats for advancing as a wizard. Feats:
1st level: Scribe Scroll Human: Improved Initiative Enhanced Summoning: Augmented Summoning Skills:
2+4 int+1 human x4= 28 ranks at 1st level Concentration 3= 1 Rank +2 Con Decipher Script 5=1 Rank+4 Int K-Arcana 8= 4 Ranks +4 Int K-Dungeoneering 8= 4 Ranks +4 Int K-History 5= 1 Rank +4 Int K-Local 5= 1 Rank +4 Int K-Nature 8= 4 Ranks +4 Int K-Religion 8= 4 Ranks +4 Int K-Planes 8= 4 Ranks +4 Int Spellcraft 8= 4 Ranks +4 Int Spells Per Day:
0 Level 3/Day 1 Level 2/Day Spells Known: 0 Level - All 1 Level - 7 (3 +4 Int)
I would like to submit Brand Stone. He is a procurer of sought after goods. He is easily able to stealth in and acquire the oppositions battle plans. Some might simply call him a thief. Class is Unchained Rogue. There are a few tweaks that i will need to do to make him fit your build restrictions. (traits, adjust background to fit better, bring down his point buy). If you see anything that needs adjusted please let me know.
I have never played 2e, but would be willing to learn especially if we are starting from level 1. I found this site that seems to have a lot of 2e stuff. For me to learn from. I am a daily active member of the PBP forum. I currently run 2 games and am a player in one more. I am able to keep post most every mornings and evenings. I am going to go ahead and roll some stats and if you allow me then I will dig into character creation. Stat Dice Rolls:
Stat 1: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 6, 1) = 14 12 Stat 2: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 2, 6) = 20 15 Stat 3: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 5, 4) = 19 14 Stat 4: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 3, 5) = 20 16 Stat 5: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 3, 2) = 17 13 Stat 6: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 1, 2) = 12 10 Stats: 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10
Thinking about going more melee but still want the Draconic bloodline vibe, so I’ll be going Bloodrager with the Draconic bloodline. Thinking down the line the FAQ on here says that the Bloodrager Draconic Bloodline would stack with the Draconic Bloodline from Dragon Disciple for bloodline progression. Would you allow this and be ok if I were to work towards Dragon Disciple PrC? If so, I would be going Human Bloodrager with the Draconic Bloodline.
I like the first option for the background. I would say that my character had suppressed the urge to leave the villiage because no one has wanted to leave with him, but he dreams of what might be out there. I would say he is a crafter of a sort, maybe an apprentice to the village blacksmith. This also feeds into his curiosity of what’s out there. Maybe he has helped fix odd armor and/or weapons. I’m thinkig human or dwarf, Ive been heavy into dwarfs lately so I’ll probably lean that way. I am cool with siblings, adopted or blood. With a class, I’ll need to think on this. My initial thoughts are Cavalier, Sorcerer (would Draconic blood line be allowed for some interesting happenings.) or a Cleric/Oracle. I would pick depending on what Sara(?) was doing. These are initial thoughts. I’m out of town till tomorrow night when I’ll be able to really dig in. But I’m able to discuss.
@GM Deadly Secret How many of us are there in this table? Rabscuttle: Caster: Warpriest or Wizard
Thanks for selecting me as part of the team! After reading the Player’s Guide I have two traits that I am interested in and possible concepts to go off of. The first trait is Northern Ancestry, Human Ulfen Viking Fighter. The other trait that I am looking at would be Vigilante Witch Hunter, Tiefling Gunslinger. With the gunslinger I did see where you said guns and ammo are rare. With the class gaining Gunsmithing as a free feat will I be able to still create my own ammo? Just wanted to clarify before getting into background building mode based on the trait.
Things I would like to know in this recruitment: : How much experience do you have with Pathfinder rules?
How much experience do you have with Roleplaying in general?
Are you familiar with PbP formatting and how to?
Have you ever played Reign of Winter before, even just a little? (please be truthful)
How many PbP games are you currently active in?
Will you be able to check the game at least daily or every other day to post? If not explain and we can work with you.
What type of characters do you like to play? Personality, Class, Themes!
Any additional information you would like to share.
I was already looking to take Magical Knack to help with the lost caster level. It doesn’t give you the spell level that you lose, but it is still nice to help keep spells where they should be. One thing I was thinking is if I were to go Undeal Lord Cleric (IMO) it would be because of the undead minion you have following you around. The downside is that going into AotG you lose the progression at keeping it strong. So many things to do, so many choices to make.
Hello all! I am about to join in on a game that is starting at 6th level. When I had the opportunity to start this high it made me want to do something I have never done before. Necromancy!!! So I got to looking and found what seems to be a fun Prestige class, Agent of the Grave. Being sixth level I could enter into it with 5 levels of something then going with my first level of AotG. I have a few questions. 1) Is Agent of the Grave worth it? I have found old post, 2016 being the newest, and there were split decisions on it. 2) What is a good way to get into Agent of the Grave? There are three main classes that seemed like logical choices; Cleric, Orical, and Wizard. Cleric seemed to stand out the most for me personally. 3) Going with Cleric how not recommended is the “Undead Lord” archetype? I know I lose a whole domain, but what you gain is really cool. At least is flavorwise the undead guy you get seems rather cool. I am not looking for “Break my character” advice. I am just looking for a little guidance down the path to the dark side. This is the first time I have ever dabbled with necromancy. Thanks in advance!!
I am extremely interested in this. What more does a game against Giants need more than a halfling Cavalier? I will be making up the character tonight when I get back from church. This seems like great fun! Thinking Beast Rider Cavalier, order of the sword. Possibly going with Giant Scion or Dwarf Trained trait for the campaign trait.
