INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Ral smoothly takes the alien's hand. "Ral. As you might imagine, we've arrived here under a series of improbable circumstances, and while we've been getting by, a friendly hand would certainly be appreciated."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Whalers? They're likely to wanna know how they can make money off of finding us. They might be interested in salvaging some ruined bits from the walker - there have to be some valuable parts left," suggests Ral.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Well, great."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Still here.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

I’m stuck out of town after a terrible convention experience. I’ll catch up when able.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"We should think of some way to let people know that we're not Imperials," says the nobleman while he fiddles with the equipment. "Or, if an Imperial squad shows up to rescue us, we'd best be ready to fight them off and then find someone friendlier."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Perfect. You really are on point, miss," says the nobleman with a smile. "Rod, looks like we're set. I'm going to see if I can track any local transmissions."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"If we had a desalinator that would take care of the water problem... haven't seen any flares," says the noble.

He fiddles idly with his communicator, checking for other frequencies in use in the area. While most of the Mon Cala population lives underwater, having satellite communications to the rest of the galaxy means that they have to send some kind of signals out of the water, and that might be trackable.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

”I don’t know much about this world, but I think if we’re going to find help, we’ll have to go down,” says Ral. ”Zel? Thoughts?”

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Note the purchase of the vehicle is largely because of the "spend it or lose it" clause. There just isn't enough expensive gear to make up to my Wealth level right now, so I had to go looking for something that would be useful and worth a good chunk of change.

I am absolutely fine with it being "somewhere else that we will get to later," I just didn't want to actually have money (and by extension, a Talent pick) go to waste.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Keep still, OOM," says the nobleman. "We'll have someone help make sure your systems are all intact." He glances back at Dara and says, "Someone grabbed the medical kit, right? Give Dara a hand? Anti-nausea maybe?"

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Welcome back OOM!

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Noble 2
+4 hit points
Bonus feat: Skill Focus: Persuasion

Wealth value: cr 19,000 (5k 1st level + 10k 2nd level + 4k found gear)
"Found" gear:

Standard datapad (cr 1,000)

Electrobinoculars (cr 1,000)

Mobquet Quickfire speeder bike (cr 14,000) -> GM, this might be in a garage or other location that we have to get to, since it's unlikely to be loaded on the walker

Banked: cr 3,000

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

GM, do I get the Wealth value for just level 2, or for level 1 + level 2 (since we started with nothing, I got no Wealth value at level 1)?

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Some shades of Starfall in that adventure.

Ral's the last one up into the walker, after OOM, clinging to one of the retracting lines. He casts about for one of the jump seats in which troops usually sit while awaiting deployment from the walker, then buckles himself in and makes an odd sort of motion with his jaw - apparently trying to make sure that he doesn't clench his teeth, as he might risk breaking his jaw if there's a sudden jolt during the descent.

As the walker makes its way through the atmosphere, he clenches his hands on the jump-seat's grips with each sudden shift, doing his best to keep steady though the group's fate is out of their hands at that point.

Finally as the walker splashes down improbably into Mon Cala's oceans, he remains seated for a good additional minute, before glancing around to make sure that nobody fell out during the tumultuous descent.

"Everyone still intact?" he says finally.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Woo?

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Sooo I am legit stumped for any exits from this scenario.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Great! So how do we find that?" says Ral, struggling to keep from coughing in the thin air.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The nobleman shouts up into the walker, "Hey! Anyone know how to launch one of these things? Are in we in orbit? I dunno how these usually land. Can we just drop it from orbit and land safely on the ground?"

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

The Onderonian grabs the droid and helps drag him to the rope, then pushes him from below.

Aid Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 8

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Spice!" shouts Ral - as best he can, given the thin atmosphere. "Now what? We don't have any other way off!"

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

*boop*

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Ral turns to see to which doors Mith refers.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Ral moves up beside the droid, looking over the console, which is largely gibberish to him.

Aid Another: Use Computer (untrained): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

"Maybe that one?"

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

My action then will depend on whether Zel checks in via comm.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Since he isn't sure what else to do, Ral switches his blaster to his off hand and, ducking as he moves, advances to join OOM and grab hold of Mith.

Strength check: 1d20 ⇒ 13

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Sooo I got no notification from this thread for a while now, so I'm trying to catch up. Very confused at the moment.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"I know I'm a terrible person," quips the Onderonian. "If you want someone to scrub the music from your memory I'm sure that can be arranged once we're out of here."

"Wasn't really planning on being a 'Rebel' per se, but I suppose that decision has been made for us." The nobleman brushes back his hair as he moves quickly through the cramped vent.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The noble holds his hands up in a conciliatory fashion - letting the fire extinguisher dangle from his thumb in one case - and says to Dara, "Hey - hey. I see you have a lot on your mind. But we need to get out of here. We'll try to stop him - Baldwin's a real piece of work and needs to be stopped - but we still need to figure out how to keep ourselves alive, too."

He offers a gentle smile and says, "C'mon, we're in this together. I know I can count on you, and I'll do my best to make sure you can count on me. Deal?"

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"If the Moff isn't there, then it's not worth it to purge the bridge," says the nobleman.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"If we can just escape without mass murder that would be great," opines the nobleman.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The noble returns with a canteen of water and offers it to Zel. "Found this. I know it's just staving off the problem but maybe it'll help for now. Careful, the container's hot but the water inside is cool."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

While waiting, the noble starts going through any available doors, panels, emergency access hatches, supply belts on enemies - whatever he can find - looking for bottled water.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Do any of our Jedi wannabes have a master key (lightsaber)?

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Noodle arms: 1d20 ⇒ 5

The noble nudges the debris with a toe and says, "Unfortunately I don't think this is going anywhere without a lifter or a pulley, unless someone has a blowtorch to cut through it."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The nobleman holsters his sporting blaster, grabs up one of the fire extinguishers, and says, "So what are we waiting for? Let's go."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The nobleman sighs and flattens against the wall after taking a pot-shot at one of the engineers.

Sporting blaster pistol: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The nobleman shrugs and says, "Engineering it is. Let's see if our slicing is up to the task."

At this point I don't care which way as long as we go somewhere.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"So stealing the shuttle, once again, seems to be the leading candidate. Deprive him of the comms on it, and of his opportunity to flee the ship. At some point to get to it he'll have to leave the bridge. So either we get there first and slice it so that we can override his safeties, or we ambush him en route and get his codes, then take the shuttle and high-tail it out of here."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The noble says wryly, "Compare that to how many people die in an Imperial occupation of a planet." Then he shakes his head. "Look, morality isn't a form of calculus. Lives are valuable regardless, and the moral choice is to minimize harm. That said, our ability to do so is also very limited. We are way out of our depth, dealing with a paranoid Imperial commander who has likely set up traps and failsafes over and above the usual security that Imperial ships have. If you absolutely must save the ship, the simplest way is just to make sure that he can't transmit the order to fire to the other ships in the fleet. How you get there depends on what route we think we can accomplish: Whether by trying to confront him personally, or by disabling the communications array via direct sabotage or going to a control station - in Engineering or the Bridge - and shutting it down."

The languid nobleman idly puts the safety back on his blaster and holsters it.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"If Officer Paranoid is still there, I wouldn't consider it my first choice," says the noble.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"So any way we cut it, we're hoofing a long trip through this boat," says the nobleman wryly. "Well, which way? Bridge or engine room? How confident are you in your slicing skills?"

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Sketchy but not the worst," says Ral, keeping his gun up with one hand and offering the other to Janara to help her up. "You missed a beautiful view of Mon Cala from above."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Ral draws his sporting blaster and says, "Get ready. It's never this easy."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"This is a terrible plan, except for the alternatives," grumbles the nobleman. He sighs and brings his hands together in an odd triangular gesture, then starts slowly twisting his fingers together in a series of strange postures.

"Don't mind me. Just nerves."

Use the Force: Breath Control: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Soooooo dead of asphyxiation then.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

The nobleman shrugs. "I dunno. I'm no medic."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Are they wearing Imperial uniforms? If not, then either they're boarders, or they are civilian contractors, or they are other escaped prisoners," reasons the noble.

"I'm a bit curious about how you mean to put people in suspension, but if we find an emergency trauma kit maybe we can find a drug that will do the trick."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"No sense waiting around, then," says the nobleman. "Since we're skipping the hard vacuum, let's get to the Stormtroopers. With luck there's more going on around the ship and they'll be too occupied to fight us in force."

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"I wonder if we're losing hull integrity," says Ral. "The ship's definitely taking some heavy hits."
