Oracle of the Azathyr |
Again, I apologize for falling asleep in my chair last night before I could post gameplay and discussion! Thank you all for bearing with me through the last few days.
Now, on to the questions that I read in recruitment!
My girlfriend's character is a caster/alchemist, so she will cover one of the missing roles.
Lythirra and Penance: You may link to each other and bounce healing around, yes.
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
Yay for bouncing!
*Starts to furnish her corner of the Discussion tab with various torture implements*
Jevar T'soryn |
Updated a bit more to give a general look (Found a pretty nice picture that I think will work well enough for him) and added in a small paragraph detailing a bit a bout the cat's look and normal activity.
I'm trying to think if there is any more adjustments that need to be made....I suppose part of that depends on how long he has been in service to the Baroness, whether he would have the privilege of adopting her house name and how long he may have known the others as to if I need to put a blurb about Relationships in.
Jevar T'soryn |
That could be true, though I feel there might be resentment from Penance towards Jevar. Jevar is a beautiful man who continually tries to curry her favor and time. But they both share their job as assassins just not in the same styling I would imagine.
Jevar T'soryn |
I wish Seducer (Alternate Drow Racial Trait) was based off casting stat or charisma. It'd make more sense to me.
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
I think the last thing Penance wants is her favor and time. :P
Gotta get close if you want to stab her!
And I think it's a good idea, too, to think if/how much our characters already know each other: after all, we've all worked under the Baroness for some time, I think.
Hhhhhhmmm...Lythirra's been around only recently: probably just 2 years or so. That's short in elf years, I guess, but I think it's long enough for her to have gotten the reputation of "That one creepy gal always hanging around the torture chambers". She actually passes most of her work and free time there, so if anyone ever had to hand down prisoners for interrogation they'd have met her.
I take no offense if you decide to take "met" as deliver the prisoner and get away from that creep real fast. :P
Yvhul'ku the Mind Flayer |
As I can't imagine that Drow society is absolutely teeming with Mind Flayers, it'd make sense for those folks working for the Baroness to know of Yvhul'ku. If not know him from personal experience. While I doubt he had a lofty position in the house's hierarchy, he is still an ally. Maybe he elected to go to the outpost on his own, out of some bizarre curiosity that the Baroness was all too glad to indulge? Having a Mind Flayers mucking about in your plans for too long can't be enjoyable, clearly. What do you all think?
Jevar T'soryn |
Jevar would actually find her interesting and beautiful. He would akin her to a well dressed book, each scar telling it's own story. Something he would love to learn about and read.
Kalmafein |
I will finish up Kal today/night.
He is the twin brother of Nhilune, an expert poisoner who worshipers Norgorber.
Also, Jevar, I think our GM will allow you to use Cha for Seducer. He's letting me take the Venom subdomain, despite Scalykind not being a domain Norgorber offers, because Venom fits perfectly for my overall theme and concept, but also fits the Blackfingers aspect of Norgorber.
In other words, he has no problem using the rule of cool to make something work as opposed to RAW/RAI
Jevar T'soryn |
Hazzah, also I have a feeling as your character crafts poison (at least I think you do?), then Jehav would be coming around to visit from time to time to procure poison (You would notice that he only seems to get stuff like oil of taggit and drop poison and the like. He likes poisons that knock someone out)
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
@Yvhul'Ku: Maybe you were sent to the Baroness as a sort of ambassador/something like that? It makes sense for Mindflayers and Drow to be wary of one another, but I think they both know that they are powerful allies: of course, both 'Flayers and Drows probably think they're having the upper hand on who's spying on who, considering how both of the races aren't know for their humility. :P
@Jevar: Just watch out and remember what happened to her last boyfriend. <3
Another rule question: I have the Horrifying Mind trait. Now, I realized that I get telepathy in my collective at later levels: what happens? Do I force non-evil people in my collective to make the save? Does something happen when I force someone into my collective?
Jevar T'soryn |
I have no idea as far as leveling is concerned where I plan to go with this character. I only thought as far as making him in fear he wouldn't get chosen.
Yvhul'ku the Mind Flayer |
Yeah, the idea was kind of that he was on loan to the Baroness as an intermediary between the two peoples. But also that he would be there for whatever she needed him to do, while he went about his own business trying to learn every little thing about their society. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for each of you to have run across him at some point and been subjected to all manner of prying questions from the obnoxiously curious Mind Flayer.
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
@Yvhul'Ku: That looks cool! Lythirra would have definitely shared information on her favorite subjects...
...aaaaaaand probably innocently asked in return things like "Does it hurt for you Mind Flayers to get locked into an Iron Maiden?" and "Would it kill you if someone stabbed you 37 times in the chest?"
Anatomy is interesting!
Jevar T'soryn |
I will look when I get home, I may change charm person out for a different spell then since I get it as a spell like ability.
Jevar T'soryn |
Hazzah, I am home. I have taken a look at the various spell and have decided that Unnatural Lust would be a perfect spell for this character.
Jevar T'soryn |
I want to say that I am officially finished tweaking the character. He is ready to be the suave, evil man he was born to be. I may have even figured out a few feats to look forwards too.
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
Ready!
Yvhul'ku the Mind Flayer |
My body is ready~
Also, Yvhul's been done for a fair bit now, so no need to worry about me.
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
My body is ready~
*Looks at Yvhul's image*
I meant the buffest tentacles of the Underdark thing as a joke. O.O
Can Golarion stand the combined might of Drow Dominatrixes and Illithid Beefcakes?
Yvhul'ku the Mind Flayer |
I meant the buffest tentacles of the Underdark thing as a joke. O.O
I mean, his Strength is as high as his Charisma, so you weren't far off. As for Golarion, I think we'd much rather they all kneel.
Yvhul'ku the Mind Flayer |
No rush or anything (and sorry for the double post), but any idea when we're gonna kick this off? I'm mostly just curious and excited to start.
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
*Sharpens spikes of the spiked chain in anticipation*
Nhilune Rilyn'rahel |
Got word from our GM. He claims he will be posting later.
Pst, do we have a background story? >.>
Jevar T'soryn |
~attempts to seduce the GM into appearing~
Cupcakes and Chloroform: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
~Curses himself as the icing is sloppy and he can't find the chloroform~
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
Any news from the GM, Monkeygod? Is he all right?
Lythirra, Apostle of Joy |
Well, almost a week of radio silence from the GM isn't the best way to start a campaign.
If we start.
Nhilune Rilyn'rahel |
I cling to my 'probably never get to play in another campaign ever again' character in hope.
Nhilune Rilyn'rahel |
Well, it doesn't kill me to sit in the group and wait (literally 0 effort required) so I suppose when and if he manages to get back to this it will be a pleasant surprise!
Jevar T'soryn |
I have to agree with the above statement. I'm quite ok with the waiting and still playing.
I'm sad to hear about the accident though, those are no fun.
Yvhul'ku the Mind Flayer |
Yikes! Sorry to hear that he's had an accident and I hope he gets better soon. That said, I've got no problem with waiting until he's feeling well again and eagerly await when he comes back.
