Qizz (dances) to (show) them how, but they don't (understand). mycos cannot hear/ see psychic stuff at all, even when Tallmind was broadcasting to everyone ![]()
![]() *** reposting the Samen/ Gabe thread, because there has been a lot of posts In answer "It is uniquely toxic to oreads. I'd imagine humans would be no more effected than an ifrit or a sylph." He shrugs. "For other races, it is unpleasant and fearful, like a bad dream, but tolerable for most." His companions motion for him to hurry up - they apparently have somewhere they need to be. "Well, it was nice meeting you. Just continue down, always take the left most choice in the forks, and you'll reach an uncharted place where things start to...change." Walking away now, "[/b]Look for me in the Small Library on the ground floor of the Elder sometime soon, if you've a mind to share your thoughts. I could be the biographer of the first reborn human!"[/b] He runs to catch up with his friends. confirming - do you want to continue to the Elder, now that you know roughly where to go? **

If this entity needs something similar to what we found outside Heap, maybe there's another under the Elder that popped up in town." Surprising himself even, Gabe gives voice to a passing thought, "Are the Elder trees a manifestation of humanity's sacrifice in ages past? Or maybe they were forced there to make the trees possible... Perhaps I should leave the metaphysical theories to others more qualified." Qizz (listens). Qizz (looks) at nothing. (Qizz ((looks and listens)) to Kallik) and (says), "Elder (says) old rotten root, Temple bottom hidden, human bones." ![]()
![]() Gabriel Freemind wrote: Showing a bit of the dark still left within him, "Finding that skeleton in the tunnels was a fluke... Finding another set like that isn't likely to happen. That being said.... there's plenty of human bones around now. And their owners hardly know which way is up." Gabe gestures to the new people birthed from the dark. Qizz (frowns) in thought. ![]() botting Qizz knows how to (stop). Grabby limbs (grow), bad thing (slow), taking some creative license here, but I think Qizz would have a 'widen spell' 1/ day up their sleeve for occasions like this. Counting this as most of Kallik's manifesting abilities for the day. casting widened black tentacles, anchored in the sky Just as the Sky above clears--ever so slightly--in response to the Sunlord, a burst of yellow light-beams push through these small openings. Is this the dawn? Is this the mythological sunlight, at last? Acting on instinct, Qizzvutz, heir to the wisdom of Learningto, sends a black seed up into the air, latching it to the fragile sunbeams. In a mere instant, a wide, squirming mass off pitch-black branch-like things suddenly manifests in the air. Qizzvultz (dances) and (hopes). ![]()

"Parading us in front of the other powers of the city?" Qizz hears word parade and excitement! Qizz makes small green marching people from many green fingers and toes. Makes bubbly marching sounds too, bloomp doomp boomp. ![]()
![]() Chapter Two. To Kill a God? The fungus elen pops in between two of you, merrily unaware of any effect they have on the current conversation. "We all have to (kill) Moon!" The shift they use for 'kill' is particularly evocative, spiky and poosh! They caper down streets, beckoning you follow, taking you to the inn that Dove has arrived in. Our inn too. And knight boy. And strange boy. ![]()
![]() Qizz sees many things, many people. Tries to shift into people, but people don't like it. 'Eww' means yucky, but also it is funny to say. Scampers ahead, smelling with big-big nose. Rain makes all smells different. Cleaner. Smellier. Qizz is good, stays in sight of others who cannot smell as good as Qizz to follow Qizz trail. Well, until Qizz sniffs out the cookies. With chocolate. When you arrive around the corner, Qizz has already eaten several cookies, and a bewildered oread baker looks on the verge of calling for the guards. ![]()
![]() I don't want to punish the crew for decisions I'm botting, so here's a halfway solution that uses some of Kallik's resources: Simple Heap skills are not good enough. Hmm. Well, slow down nasty fire hound with distractions, then. Qizz does what comes naturally, and conjures summons on top of summons. The myco hopes the swarm of fire beetles will distract long enough for the red ape to get in a solid punch. Kallik does not dignify any of this silliness with a response. Using 2 3rd level spell slots for a summons. This counts as neither a 'success' nor a 'loss'. ![]()
![]() Kallik, if you are around, I'd like Qzz to roll a survival check to orient himself in this place. I've always imagined Qizz having an exceptionally keen sense of direction due to living in the maze-like Heaps for so long. To that end, I would combine all the relevant scattered ranks you have (cartography, nature, and survival) for this roll to make it a +14 to your survival check. ![]()
![]() Abnaki in the waking world has only time to yawn, rub his eyes, and panic before a legion of flaming, hellish arms burst out of the ground. They black-nailed fingers grab the slumbering bodies of Samen and Gabriel. Abnaki is quickly grabbed as well, the crimson arms acting with demonic speed. Qizz makes choice. Qizz jumps in after friends. ![]()

![]() using some poetic license here. This combo will use all their 3rd level spells for the day Qizz smart. Qizz sneaky. (Summon) fast fast cheetah, (run) across field when no one looking. (Knew) sneaky Gabe would be sneaky too. With not-magic-magic gone, cheetah gives silvery snakey the stink eye. Then poof away before (get crushed). casting bestow curse, focusing on saves, so -6 to all saves will save DC 18, silver eye, -2 for being stunned: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 12 - 2 = 15
