Gabriel Freemind wrote: Now out of the tunnels under the temple, Gabriel assumes his previous outlook and remains a bit withdrawn until the idea of the council comes up. "Parading us in front of the other powers of the city?" Qizz hears word parade and excitement! Qizz makes small green marching people from many green fingers and toes. Makes bubbly marching sounds too, bloomp doomp boomp.
Chapter Two. To Kill a God? The fungus elen pops in between two of you, merrily unaware of any effect they have on the current conversation. "We all have to (kill) Moon!" The shift they use for 'kill' is particularly evocative, spiky and poosh! They caper down streets, beckoning you follow, taking you to the inn that Dove has arrived in. Our inn too. And knight boy. And strange boy.
Qizz sees many things, many people. Tries to shift into people, but people don't like it. 'Eww' means yucky, but also it is funny to say. Scampers ahead, smelling with big-big nose. Rain makes all smells different. Cleaner. Smellier. Qizz is good, stays in sight of others who cannot smell as good as Qizz to follow Qizz trail. Well, until Qizz sniffs out the cookies. With chocolate. When you arrive around the corner, Qizz has already eaten several cookies, and a bewildered oread baker looks on the verge of calling for the guards.
I don't want to punish the crew for decisions I'm botting, so here's a halfway solution that uses some of Kallik's resources: Simple Heap skills are not good enough. Hmm. Well, slow down nasty fire hound with distractions, then. Qizz does what comes naturally, and conjures summons on top of summons. The myco hopes the swarm of fire beetles will distract long enough for the red ape to get in a solid punch. Kallik does not dignify any of this silliness with a response. Using 2 3rd level spell slots for a summons. This counts as neither a 'success' nor a 'loss'.
Kallik, if you are around, I'd like Qzz to roll a survival check to orient himself in this place. I've always imagined Qizz having an exceptionally keen sense of direction due to living in the maze-like Heaps for so long. To that end, I would combine all the relevant scattered ranks you have (cartography, nature, and survival) for this roll to make it a +14 to your survival check.
Abnaki in the waking world has only time to yawn, rub his eyes, and panic before a legion of flaming, hellish arms burst out of the ground. They black-nailed fingers grab the slumbering bodies of Samen and Gabriel. Abnaki is quickly grabbed as well, the crimson arms acting with demonic speed. Qizz makes choice. Qizz jumps in after friends.
Family good. Hi to magician grandpa before we (go). Kallik mad, but Kallik secretly (wants to go) too. But magician grandpa (is hurt). (Sleeping, healing). Brave at big fight, (saved) many young ones. No (say) goodbye, but we (hear) it anyway. We (feel) love and (give) love, and we (cry). Kallik mad, but Kallik secretly sad. (Want to hug) Kallik, but best (is shift) around her space. (Hope) she (feels) love too. (Leave) sad. Cookies don't (taste) as good now, but (need) something good to (make) bad away.
using some poetic license here. This combo will use all their 3rd level spells for the day Qizz smart. Qizz sneaky. (Summon) fast fast cheetah, (run) across field when no one looking. (Knew) sneaky Gabe would be sneaky too. With not-magic-magic gone, cheetah gives silvery snakey the stink eye. Then poof away before (get crushed). casting bestow curse, focusing on saves, so -6 to all saves will save DC 18, silver eye, -2 for being stunned: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 12 - 2 = 15 |
