Queslin sees the situation building around Smenk and face palms. He didn't mean for his comment to inspire such trouble. He gets up and approaches. "Wait! Wait! I didn't take offense. You're only making things worse. Stop insulting him. This is so unnecessary. Leave him alone. Just go away. Just stop and go away." He pleads.

Wanting to get back to the game, Queslin dares speak, "Mr Smenk, Sheriff, perhaps you would like to test your skills while you wait."

Queslin clutches his heart as if Ariello's words had wounded him. "And here I thought we'd be friends. Now I feel its my duty to see your fire put out, my hot comrade."

Queslin gives over the ticket he won to Gaspar and goes up the stairs. He nods casually at Kurlag like he belongs. After a quick look around, Queslin goes over to the Three-Dice Ante table. The halfling's antics might distract the other gamblers, but Queslin knows that if even one card is the slightest bit singed, the halfling would be given a flying lesson by Kurlag. He sits down close to Ariello and sets his stake to be dealt in. "I have a feeling that this table will be hot tonight."


@ Aria: I had never considered the Eldritch Archer Magus until now. I think I'd like it. I'd get to play the character I want to play from the start rather than waiting 7 levels. Stupid archetypes doing it better than prestige classes.


I think I've worked out the crunch for Queslin. I changed him to start as a slayer, but his backstory still works. He's still destined to be an arcane archer.

Queslin is a young elf in the service of the Bronzewood Lodge, with dreams of high adventure. He runs errands and assists the lodge members in whatever fashion they tell him. He'll sometimes be sent into town to purchase supplies or to deliver messages. When in town he spends time with the small elven population that runs the Moonmeadow Mine. Through Merris Sandovar, he is on good terms with the garrison as well. He enjoys the entertainments that Diamond Lake offers and always returns to the lodge penniless. He has, thus far, managed to keep from becoming entangled with any of the towns 'bad' elements.

Knowing his own skill at healing is lacking, and since Thalin has turned him down, Queslin turns to Ralafas, "Surely you can offer them some succor. They don't, no one, deserves to be left like this."

I, too, wish to continue playing. I'm sorry for not posting more, but, as has been mentioned, I am very busy with family at this particular time. I recall seeing your post asking if we were going after the Green Daggers but got caught up in something as I was composing my response and then it totally slipped my mind. Please be patient with me/us a little longer.
