Male Human Sorcerer

Well I am starting to recover even though I still have a cough, and it turned into an ear infection (I think/hope because otherwise my ear is hurting very painfully for another reason) today which sucks. I should get things back into things (and catch up) and be able to post tonight or tomorrow.

Male Human Sorcerer

Sorry that I have been inactive. I have been sick for over a week, and the last four days it has been extremely bad like I haven't been able to get out of my bed to even get my laptop bad. This is the first time I have been on the computer since Wednesday. I am hoping that I am on the back end of whatever is going on, but I don't know when I will be able to concentrate and thinking properly. I would say anywhere from another day to another week is what I hope. Will keep you informed as much as I can.

Male Human Sorcerer

Mayhem moves along with the group without more fanfare, he will comment once when Mus'ad uses a solid kick to remove an obstacle "You know, Mus'ad, you are rather useful at times. I think your presence may not annoy me as much anymore." He makes sure to glance in Belledonna's direction, "Yours, however, is still quite grating to me."

"This is awfully slow. I should have just prepared a teleportation circle, and sent us in instantly." Mayhem remarks with a shrug.

Male Human Sorcerer

"Once again, Belledonna, you are completely wrong about me. We should try not to make this a habit. I do not want to do things in such a manner, I want to do them in such away that nothing remains to oppose us, and what does remain will fear to ever oppose us again. If it is flashy then so be it, but I will be just as happy to settle for brutal and efficient. I am quite ready to get about the unpleasant business assigned to us by Destruction so that I can continue my research in new ways to obliterate the fins and their overlords."

Male Human Sorcerer

"Destruction is not our benefactor out of the kindness of his heart. He has marked us, much in the same way that Belledonna can do. He may be able to locate us with that means, and he has clearly stated that we work for him now, and if not then he will isolate us and give us over to the V'Sori to be put down like dogs." Mayhem tries to maintain a matter-of-fact tone, but there is a tiny hint of a mixture of adoration and fear.

Male Human Sorcerer

"I guess you can be useful at times, Belledonna, instead of just being an invasive annoyance that keeps forcing her way into my head with her powers." The Professor thinks in a matter-of-fact way. He even managed to curb much of the disdain for the mind-link intruding on him again. "We should deal with these 'undergrounders' first, negotiating our passage through their territory and a guide, then move on to deal with Terron and the device."

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem scowls as the mind-speak begins again in his head, but this time he doesn't order Belledonna to shut it down. "We will just have to deal with whatever this Terron has left behind."

Male Human Sorcerer

"I can't help but think you are using a condescending tone with me. I am not your underling or lackey" He gestures at Oz, and then continues, "It appears that our benefactor has work for us again. Do not go running off to play on your own."

Male Human Sorcerer

Spoiler:

I will drop Kitchen & Dining to make it Average. The place doesn't have to look nice, and nothing I got requires a facility bonus.

Male Human Sorcerer

Spoiler:

Headquarters (4) - 10 HQ Points
Command Center (1)
Personal Quarters (2) - 8 heroes
Teleporter (3) - Teleport Door up to half a mile from base that can accommodate up to 10 people.
Well-Hidden (3)
Kitchen & Dining (1)

Professor Mayhem places the sigils and begins to summon in the various locations in the warehouse.

1d12 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 4

Male Human Sorcerer

GM:

Does their beacon activate when they are fighting? I show have remembered that splitting up was always a bad idea!

Professor Mayhem looks over the warehouse in disgust. Filthy humans can't even watch out for the magical inscriptions that he had drawn about... he wasn't going to waste time to redo them again for them to get wiped out. He would wait for the others so he could explain to them why the inscriptions were there and tell them in no uncertain terms that they are not to mess with them.

Male Human Sorcerer

"I have no interest in mortal shopping. I will return to the warehouse to complete the ritual to turn it into a suitable living place. Do not get yourself caught by them again, I doubt our benefactor would be there a second time."

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem slams his fist on the table, "I was no friend of Gilgamesh. Enkidu was after my times, the heavens reminder to curb his arrogance because people as strong him could still exist. Gilgamesh would have knelt before me with all of his people had it not been for the meddling of the sages and their prison." He flexes his hands as he stares at them.

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem sits quietly with his arms crossed just staring at Belledonna for a few minutes before he turns to the waiter and orders something completely out of place that gets him a blank look from the staff. He tries several languages as well before ending with "I hate mortals. Very well, I will take the... Salad named after the amateur conqueror Caesar."

Male Human Sorcerer

The Professor shrugged. "I have no intentions of accompanying you but Destruction made it quite clear that we are an Omegan group now. Drones are useful to unlock the secrets of the V'Sori, though I would like to take one of them apart for fun and research." He comes distracted for a moment as he runs through a list of spells, and possible components that he could gain from a live V'Sori.

Male Human Sorcerer

Warehouse:

Professor Mayhem frowns and holds the piece of technology up. He makes a detestable face before he sets the watch back in the box. "The Devil one can probably tell us what it does. Someone should find him. I am not wearing any piece of technology until I know what it does, especially from Destruction. I don't trust him anymore then I trust anyone else."

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem had grown tired of preparing the warehouse for the transmutation of more suitable living accommodation so he found a place to rest. As morning came and someone arrived looking for him he just grunted and took the item.

Male Human Sorcerer

Yes, while I don't expect we will need the extra nice luxury headquarters when we are out an about... then no one will suspect people living there!

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem resisted the urge to proclaim several things about the other members of his newly found group of rebels.

"Not on your life." was the only response that Mus'ad received as Professor Mayhem walked into the building. He found a place at the nexus of the building as he took a knee to prepare some arcane markings on the ground. He moved about putting them at the corners of the building, the doorways, and several other places in silence.

Finished with the grunt work then he returned to the nexus and began a chant.

Going to cast a spell to make some magic and transform our HQ into the TARDIS lol. Don't have time to go over the book to select features right now so I will do that later. Just assume that I am busy with the spell for now.

Male Human Sorcerer

Foolish woman.

Professor Mayhem does not take an actions to help or hinder the annoying woman as she barely manages to make it aboard. He just leans back against the hull as he closes his eyes to rest. He had pushed himself several times and the dark fates had granted him the power with little cost beyond the normal tiredness that washes over him after extended magic use.

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem shrugs as he walks by Doctor Destruction and heads into ship without a word. The job was complete and there was no reason to respond to Destruction's sneers and taunts since he wanted no part in freeing the other prisoners.

Male Human Sorcerer

"We need to get to the center of the complex before our benefactor is coming back for us. We should move before more reinforcements arrive."

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem just stands about distracted. He didn't care about the other prisoners, and he wasn't naive enough to think that the V'Sori wouldn't know who they busted from this prisoner. He just kept an eye out to make sure that no one surprised them.

Smarts: 1d8 ⇒ 8Explode: 1d8 ⇒ 4Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 2

"Destruction will only have room for ten extra occupants, if he doesn't vaporize us for bringing extra baggage. Leave them to their fate now that you have released them."

Male Human Sorcerer

"They aren't much better then mindless zombies. Well-armed mindless zombies to be sure." He sneers at them, "Not exactly a praise-worthy accomplishment. Bastard scum..." He looks down at the damage dealt to him, and considers a regeneration spell, but that would require significant power and focus that he couldn't afford at the moment.

"How long before you can secure him?" He completely ignores the Belledonna who is questioning the other prisoner. He can't help but sneer a bit though.

Male Human Sorcerer

Mayhem feels the power roll through him, and he exalts. His mind opens with the raw power as he begins looking through the methods of death and destruction that he has learned over the years. The last attack was brutal force, and ineffective... this one would do nearly the same without so much power.

Electricity began to arc around him towards the metal, ground, lights as he began another incantation. He tapped into the aether, pulling more and more towards him.

Spellcasting: 1d12 ⇒ 5 Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 4

He aimed his hands towards the drones as a single brilliant bolt of lightning stuck forth and shattered into an electrical storm around them.

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 41d6 ⇒ 4 Failed Vigor: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Energy Control (2); Large Burst Template (3); borrowing 2 for Elemental Trick (2): Electricity. Large Burst Template; 2d6 damage; Electricity: Vigor roll or suffer additional d6 damage. Mostly electronic foes (power armored or robots) make this roll at -2.

Male Human Sorcerer

Spending a benny to soak.
Vigor: 1d6 ⇒ 5 Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Eliminates 1 wound and brings my Spellcasting total from 7 to 5 (-2 for wounds) which is still a success and beat my borrowed power points so no backlash, yay. Spending a benny to become unshaken to continue my round three action.

Male Human Sorcerer

I don't have my books on me, but is it one benny a round? I will need to spend a benny to try to soak for certain, but can I spend a benny to become unshaken as well (thus using my action?) If not then I will just spend the benny at the beginning of round 4, and repeat my action if I am still conscious. Do I need to re-roll?

Male Human Sorcerer

I am confused now. I held action beforehand for more drone arrivals, then pulled the (AD). My action following that was to blast the drones, so I am completely unsure where we are. I will spend the benny if I need too to do my action.

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem points to Belledonna, "Remove yourself from my mind. If you touch it again and I survive then I will obliterate you were you stand. You are also not in charge here. We were told to take Mindjack to the center of the compound. One or all of them they will know who is gone. Hell the aliens will just have to recapture one to rip our images and target from their mind. If our benefactor wanted to make it a private affair he wouldn't be flying around out there destroying V'Sori ships or airdropping us right on top of the compound. This is a statement, an act of war, a challenge to the V'Sori overlords that think they own this place. Release them if you wish to co-sign them to death, because I doubt our benefactor will take them. Your argument is invalid."

Male Human Sorcerer

"We are not here for the other ones. Mindjack is our target and I am not going to waste time on the rest of the rabble. Releasing them will do them no favors unless you want to kill them, and there are easier ways then leaving them to the mercy of the V'Sori. I doubt that Doctor Destruction will care to get them out of here. Plus she hasn't much to offer in here, once she has flown away it is unlikely we will see here again. Do not get distracted..."

Professor Mayhem tries to reign in the distracts as the drones appear again. He suddenly grins, "So nice of them to group up." The magical shielding around him vanishes in an instant. He starts an incantation to call forth the raw cosmic energy of magic for a massive spell. The energy begins to spark off of him as he reaches for more then he can safely control.

Spellcrafting: 1d12 ⇒ 7 Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Dropped Armor. Ranged Attack (5): w/ medium template, but I am borrowing an additional 5 power points to update to large template and extra damage (+1d6).

He lets loose a bolt of raw magical energy upon the drones (I envision this as a black/purple swirling color). It is aimed for the center drone in the back as it explodes on contact.

Not quite sure what I need to roll to hit since it is a magical ranged attack. Agility? Another Spellcasting? Should I have gotten Shooting?
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 21d6 ⇒ 11d6 ⇒ 5

Male Human Sorcerer

Having some problems with issue the site for some reason. Trying to post while I can, but it is hard

Mayhem scans the room for a moment for Mindjack, "Where is Mindjack?" He asks as a blanket question to the room of nervous looking prisoners. He cranes his neck a bit as he prepares to cast another spell at a moments notice.

Going to hold until more drones appear then I will use a Ranged Attack (3) on them.

Male Human Sorcerer

Common Knowledge for Drones: 1d8 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 2
Common Knowledge for Mindjack: 1d8 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 4
Notice: 1d8 ⇒ 31d6 ⇒ 1
Ageless: Very Old may apply here (up to you, GM) and that would be +2 to the Common Knowledge rolls.
Spellcasting: 1d12 ⇒ 31d6 ⇒ 5

Professor Mayhem begins another incantation as the drones begin to approach. A small shield that will help forward his body from harm as he is forced to fight. A shimmering shield made up of glowing runes form around the Sorcerer encasing him in additional protection against damage.

Armor (2): Armor 2; +3 Armor bonus to Toughness.

Male Human Sorcerer

Spellcasting: 1d12 ⇒ 6 Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Has precious moments as he begins to recite a quick chant in an ancient language that would give him a moment of flight so he could slow his fall enough to land safety. Wings made of shadows unfold behind him for a moment and vanish as soon as his feet touch the ground.

"I will deal with people being in my head momentarily. These mindless creatures are more pressing."

Casting to give the cheapest Flight to safety land, then letting it expire as I will need the points!

Male Human Sorcerer

Well-played.

Professor Mayhem thinks as he plummets from Destruction's ship. He wouldn't be the first warlord that Mayhem had allied himself with and he will not be the last. He would twist the V'Sori until they screamed then bowed before him...

Ignoring the fact that I have no other option. We are of a same purpose. This, Mindjack, will be yours tonight."

He holds up his arms away from his body so his hands are in place to start a spell that will slow his descent as they are busted open.

Male Human Sorcerer

1d6 ⇒ 1 Agility
1d6 ⇒ 2 Wild Die

The first one to be tossed about by the M'Buna beginning to tumble about. He groans from the body of the pile of villains, and tries to find his way to his feet. He tries to keep a health respect for the man at the moment and hold back his snark...

"Of course I want to live. I didn't spend four thousands years in another dimension to become an experiment for these undeveloped..." Professor Mayhem begins a short series of insults towards the alien oppressors again.

Male Human Sorcerer

"Phenomenal cosmic powers" The man says with a loud emphasis, "And I was captured by these brute-idiot fins and their frail over-sized headed overlords!" Professor Mayhem continues a few minute with ever-increasing unflattering names for the V'Sori. He gives the restraints a shake and begins to recite something in an ancient language, but nothing happens. He shakes the restraint with anger now.

Updated my alias, as well as tweaked my belief (considerably) and instincts.
