It's not going to be particularly easy. Whatever the armor is it seems to be pretty much a solid piece apart from articulation. As DA double checks the weapon he realises that unless the arm of the suit is hollow, there's not really room in there for a full blaster rifle. slicing open a seam and jury-rigging something to get it to fire would probably be your best bet (a repair roll at... -2 for alien tech). You'd probably also need to run, which would inflict a multi action penalty of another -2.

That or see the edited post above :)

Well with the roll in my post DA has a success with the interface bonus. 4 roll +4 interface -2 run -2 alien = 4 success! Yes?

Well time to catch up. First things first, the soak roll;
Vigor/Wild 1d12 ⇒ 111d6 ⇒ 4
Success 2 wounds soaked

Bad Penny lands hard enough to bounce. For a disconcerting moment he lies still, then climbs to his feet, mumbling something about employee benefits.

Next, first turn.
Common Knowledge/Wild 1d8 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 4

Though he's one of the first to react to the V'sori drones entering the room, Bad Penny spends his time looking around for a weapon. Preferably one more complex than a lump of stuff to hit stuff with.

Action held.

Finally, a duffle bag crashes down amongst the villains. Bad Penny rushes over to it. Ah there you are, sweety. He pulls the strange, retro looking blaster rifle out of the bag.

Bad Penny shoulders the gun, flipping a switch on its side as he does so. An ominous sounding hum fills the room as the gun powers up. Still not sure exactly what the power source on this thing is... Oh well.

Bad Penny draws bead on a drone and opens fire.

x2 Shooting/Wild 1d12 ⇒ 21d6 ⇒ 2 and 1d12 ⇒ 31d6 ⇒ 3
...and spending a frivolous benny to reroll one of those.
1d12 ⇒ 121d6 ⇒ 1
Explosion 1d12 ⇒ 9
Success with 4 raises if there are no modifers- feel safe adding a d6 to damage.
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 4) = 9 +4 armor piercing

Bolts of lambent green energy fly from the muzzle. Hell, the fall jarred the sights. Bad Penny quickly readjusts his aim.

The duffel in general seems to be half full of gaudy jewelry, not the belt specifically. The belt is the mirage field generator, and I'm happy to say it is also the chameleon device if you want. Armor I'm assuming if you guys have it as Duraweave the V'Sori didn't bother to strip you, so you can all already be wearing any duraweave stuff. Taser and stunwand I'm assuming he has stashed somewhere else, not in the duffel.

As to the roll, rummaging through the duffel and retrieving your equipment would be an action as well, increases the multi-action penalty to -4 so fail this round.

Devil's Advocate:
DA goes to work, sawing into the armor with the jagged piece of metal. His own hand starts to bleed as the metal slowly saws it's way through the tough armor which seems to be bonded to whatever is underneath. The probes from his computer seem to be registering biological material as well as a complex wiring system, it can't quite seem to make sense of it all however, the creature still twitching, not quite dead yet.

Actually Bad Penny, the way weapons with a Rate of Fire greater than 1 (and thus the Attack, Ranged power) work, is that you roll X shooting die (twice in this case) and only one wild die. If you benny it then you reroll all three die (can't get worse than the original roll on each die).

There are modifiers, but in this case it's only a -2 for multi action penalty (rummaging through the bag takes an action as it seems to be filled predominantly with gaudy jewelry). Since you spent the benny you can go ahead and reroll the other d12 to see if it hits :)

Bennies: 4 Wounds: 0 Exp: 4

Edit: Miscommunication.

Sorry Bad Penny, too many edits and trying to reply to everyone. I hadn't spotted your post when I posted that. I have now edited the above so please check that post and roll the other shooting (at -2 for multi action)

None of Belledonna's gear would be in the duffel, I don't imagine, given that almost all of it is to be used by the minion. Now if 'exhibit A: People's glorious self-sacrifice #1' just happens to be here, that is a completely different matter...Holding off posting until the Drones have gone since I now have a better understanding of what they are, although I will state that for her free action Belledonna is switching to 'Mind Control'.

"Dammit" Advocate quickly pulls on duraweave gloves.[/b]

Note to all. Apparently Devil's duraweave suit was on the whole time. Please ignore previous references to prison scrubs. Devil's Advocate wears a largely form fitting bodysuit of dusty black/brown. Thank you. We now return to the drone slaughter in progress.

Bennies: 3, Wounds: 0, Fatigue: 0

The masque (aka, the duplicate) reaches her arms inside one of the drones and then attempts to materialize Spirit 1d8 ⇒ 1 but fails.

While that doesn't happen, Masque herself grabs her glock from the duffel. Unsure if the gun becomes invisible. If yes, if disappears. If no, the gun appears to fly up and shoot on its own.
She brings the pistol up and aims at the drone her copy is hugging, shooting through her intangible duplicate if necessary.
Shooting/wild dice at -2 (multiaction for picking the gun up) 1d12 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7 1d6 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1
damage dice 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10 and another for the ace 1d6 ⇒ 6 and another for the ace 1d6 ⇒ 3 looks like 19 damage, AP1
"Thank you," she whispers to the spirits.

Bad Penny's first shot wings the drone, seeming to stun it, before the second bolt of energy sears right through it, leaving a sizeable hole as the thing slumps to the ground.

The remaining two drones ready their weapons, one of them stepping up to Mus'ad, and raising his hand. As it does it's fingers sprout claws which the angry wall of flesh can hear faintly humming before the thing lashes out at him. A clumsy attack which he easily dodges.

Fighting: 1d8 ⇒ 3

The other levels it's forearm blaster at Bad Penny and retaliates, firing two blasts of it's own.

Shooting: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) + 1 = 12 AP 4
That's a wound for Bad Penny

Notice roll:
Despite the confrontation inside you manage to make out the sound of marching footsteps approaching the door behind you.

I had wondered if you were going to try something like that Masque :p Given the nature of your abilities I'm going to have to say there's some potential for feedback when your duplicate acts like that. The first wound from materializing inside of someone will 'kill' (disperse) the duplicate, and any wounds caused over that will feed back through the pyschic/spiritual link with the duplicate to Masque. Otherwise that's way too easy to abuse :p

As discussed previously, anything that she picks up while invisible remains visible unless she brings it with her 'into the spirit world' (spends an action to become invisible again.

The glock appears to float out of the bag and puts a bullet straight through the drone's chest. You're not sure whether it has a heart, but it seems to be effective.

Note: Both drones are still up when everyone else acts, as Masque is last. If the others kill the drones then feel free to repost Masque.

I did say you didn't have to post in order :) Ends up faster in the long run, though it can get confusing when people have to repost. We're having some early teething issues, that's all :)

Opposed Smarts: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Your wild die exploded on the smarts roll, but as you can see it doesn't really matter. It's an opposed roll, not a static difficulty, remember :)

Belledonna:
You'd judge there are at least half a dozen people about to come through that door.

The drone's mind meanwhile feels... odd to say the least. You get the definite impression that you're not the first one inside this mind, though whoever was there before was much cruder, bits seem to be missing from... whatever this creature is. It's a thoroughly unpleasant feeling, but it does leave things fairly easy to manipulate.

What orders are you giving the drone?

Heh, you still got one left :p

Bad Penny:
Bad Penny is quite familiar with the sound of troops marching in formation. The amount of time he's wasted prancing around for villains of the years... it sounds like there are 8 more drones about to come through that door.

Wow! I rolled a 2 & I still took over! That's kind of scary...

Mental Hijinks:
Have the drone about face & head back out where he/she/it came from. If it encounters other drones, K'theran or V'sori, shoot to disable, otherwise, go to the nearest occupied cellblock & start freeing prisoners, all the while decrying the totalitarian atrocities of the V'sori occupation & placing full credit for the current action on the part of Isabelle d' Honair & associates.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

At Mus'ad's count in the initiative, there are still two drones up - and he's a fightin man.

Smile on his face becoming improbably larger after he causes one of the drones to collapse into sparks Mus'ad weaves out of the way as another seeks to harm him. Grabbing the drone's clawed arm with one hand he gives it an openhanded backhand across the head with his right...

Professor Mayhem begins another incantation as the drones begin to approach. A small shield that will help forward his body from harm as he is forced to fight. A shimmering shield made up of glowing runes form around the Sorcerer encasing him in additional protection against damage.

Armor (2): Armor 2; +3 Armor bonus to Toughness.

Mus'ad backhands the drone that attacked him, sending it flying through the air, though this time it fails to hit anything in the large open space surrounded by cells.

The professor meanwhile summons up additional protection as he hears more drones on their way...

That's the whole point of Very Old, so yes, it applies.

Belledonna asserts her mental control over the final drone, giving it her instructions. It's just turning around making an odd buzzing noise when Masque blasts it in the back, hitting something vital which oozes from the bullethole as it slumps to the ground, causing Belledonna's connection to it to snap sharply and unpleasantly as it starts to die.

"You look for Mindjack man, Mus'ad must continue the dance!" reaching down to grab the bullet damaged drone by a leg and heft it as an oddly shaped and proportioned throwing weapon.

He then crouches slightly and looks towards the source of the newly arriving drone's noise with his piggish eyes narrowed in concentration...

Changed your mind about letting me re-post, I guess. I suppose I'll wait until it's my turn.

Belledonna all of the drones were present in the current room when you 'arrived', the only doors are the ones that currently have a large number of drones on the other side of them. Think one of those big open areas with cells lining the walls from shows like Prison Break and Alcatraz (though there is only a single level of cells). There are... approximately ~20 people currently in the cells with space for about 30. The whole place looks kind of... temporary, though the cells at least certainly seem stout enough.

As far as adding Charisma to the wild die... Charisma yes, but for things like a d12+X trait the +X will only add to the trait die.

Masque: Didn't change my mind, but there was no particular reason for Masque not to shoot the drone, unless she can view mental abilities somehow.

Hmm, actually I suppose there should be some visible manifestation of the use of mental abilities. Belle, did you have anything in mind for what her abilities look like?

So go ahead and repost last round's action, and as I have said twice now, please post as frequently as you can, you don't need to wait for your turn (if it falls after the bad guys that is an allowable exception)

Gah! I am having the worst day! Hrm, I thought I read that Charisma added to Persuasion as well.

Then consider that she didn't tell the prisoners to go out the door, just to stay in their cells until we have dealt with this oncoming wave.

As far as an apparent manifestation of her psychic powers goes, before Betsy Braddock got turned into 'sexy psychic ninja mutant' Psylocke (Yes, I'm that old), her powers manifested as a kind of pink-purple butterfly-mask-ish thing about her eyes. The same thing would manifest wherever she was 'scrying', kind of like the sensor for a scrying spell. Something like that on both her & her targets would work?

@Professor Mayhem: Paizo's ISP seems to be having issues today, there was a post about it earlier.

Bennies: 3, Wounds: 0, Fatigue: 0

This round, I will reinvisible myself (to make the gun invisible as well) and dismiss my duplicate.

Alright, finally got back on. Paizo's been unavailable since I woke up :s

Try reading that again Belledonna, You do add Charisma to both Persuasion and Streetwise, I was just making a call on a related issue (attributes and skills that are higher than a d12) at the same time. Apologies for confusion, my thoughts sometimes wander.

Yes, something like that is the standard manifestation I think, so if you'd like to go with something like that it'd be fine.

And the site is back.....odd

If no baddies are in sight on DA's card:

The armored figure most of you recognize as the Devil's Advocate, known terrorist, thief and murderer turns from where he was working on the crippled drone and speaking to where Masque's duplicate vanished. "Masqe, if you are who I think you are. I know Mindjack. Stick with me and keep quiet and we'll break him out. The rest of you lead them off and try to stay alive."

With that The Advocate touches a button and the dusty brown costume grows bulkier and changes color. In seconds instead of a slight super villain you see a badly wounded drone. Using chameleon device. No voice mod yet bit as I am copying an obviously dead drone it should not come up.

"Not perfect but it should fool them long enough." It is a bit disconcerting to see the clearly dead drone walk across the corridor and collapse in a hopefully convincing heap.
******************************************************

If they are in sight.

The armored figure most of you recognize as the Devil's Advocate, known terrorist, thief and murderer continues the brutal surgery on the heavily wounded drone. [ooc]Goal is still to get a functioning blaster but if that is clearly a longer term project then rigging something that can manage a shot or two would be nice. Repair roll, please add 4 if interface/codebreaker applies: Repair1d10 ⇒ 5, wild1d6 ⇒ 5.

Round 3: Bad Penny (KC), Professor Mayhem (QH), Mus'ad (QD), Belladonna (6H), Masque (5S), Drones (4H), Devil's Advocate (3H)

Bad Penny lines up his shot, as does Mus'ad with a slightly more unusual weapon... The Professor summons a protective shield around himself in anticipation of a hail of blaster fire, and Masque makes her gun disappear.

Belledonna on the other hand turns towards the inmates of this particular prison and tries to establish some order and decorum for when they have secured their freedom.

"Am I to understand you plan to free us all? You must be from Omega, although I must question your entry methods..." a glance into the near-right corner reveals a woman to match the latino accent, a young woman with odd spots on her face and arms--some sort of mutant perhaps. "My name is Valeria Ramirez, make sure I am amongst the first to be freed and I promise you won't regret it." she offers with a smile.

With her attention now drawn in that direction Belledonna spots the man you are after--Mindjack--three cells down from this woman, he seems rather disoriented, and makes no response to Belledonna. At Valerie's 'offer' there is some grumbling and a few calls from other cells to try and usurp the privelege, but it seems that she has impressed them all enough to keep them from losing control, or at least otherwise distracted them.

Moments later as Belledonna is still distracted by the prisoners, the doors swiftly part, pulled open by two drones, while a half dozen more are arrayed in a half circle around the door, each down on one knee with their blasters leveled.

If so it'll give you a -2 to the Throwing roll since it's not particularly aerodynamic, but will do Str+d10 damage.

At Valeria Ramirez' words Isabelle turns her gaze to her, at the same time mentally 'calling-out' to the others.

"Everyone is leaving ms. Ramirez. For the moment allow us to perform our tasks."
'Advocate, Masque; I have found Mindjack. He seems disoriented, but he is right there!
See how difficult it will be to release all the prisoners will you Advocate? Get it right this time & I might consider forgetting Giles Blake...'

GM-Peanuts is it a Common Knowledge check to see if I recognize the name Valeria Ramirez? If so, Smarts/Common Knowledge: 1d10 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7, Wild Die: 1d6 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0. The -2 modifier is because I am still maintaining the Telepathy at the same time.

Male Human Sorcerer

"We are not here for the other ones. Mindjack is our target and I am not going to waste time on the rest of the rabble. Releasing them will do them no favors unless you want to kill them, and there are easier ways then leaving them to the mercy of the V'Sori. I doubt that Doctor Destruction will care to get them out of here. Plus she hasn't much to offer in here, once she has flown away it is unlikely we will see here again. Do not get distracted..."

Professor Mayhem tries to reign in the distracts as the drones appear again. He suddenly grins, "So nice of them to group up." The magical shielding around him vanishes in an instant. He starts an incantation to call forth the raw cosmic energy of magic for a massive spell. The energy begins to spark off of him as he reaches for more then he can safely control.

She nods to the man she believes to be Devil's Advocate, the criminal world's geek squad and, if the rumors are true, a deft assassin in his own right. Of course, she's invisible, so he wouldn't see her nod. He'll know how to get anyone out of the cell, if anyone can. As the doors burst open and the drones enter the room, Belledonna's voice in her mind identifies Mindjack. It makes some sort of empty promise to the other criminals in the prison. Whether they release any of the other prisoners is completely incidental to Anne-Marie. It only matters if they can help with the mission at hand.

Raising her gun, she takes a heartbeat to point at the first of the drones that have come through the door that has not turned its back or been taken down, charmed or otherwise neutralized, and squeezes the trigger.

If you would rather focus on one prisoner, thereby making obvious to the jailors our purpose & consequently making it easier for them to thwart our goals, that is your choice but if we fail because you couldn't keep your bloodlust in your pants expect to know the joys of spontaneously voiding your bowels repeatedly & violently until we die.'

The next statement is because it looks like Professor Mayhem 'spoke' his response instead of thinking it, if you meant him to think it, disregard it.
Finally, when you use your mouth instead of your brain during an operation, you risk revealing intelligence to the enemy. Kindly refrain.'

If Belledonna is coming off a bit b&!**y, it's intentional but I do apologize if it offends. She knows there are going to be casualties & isn't happy about it. She's also begining to contemplate the possibility that the drones may be as much victims of the V'sori as anyone else.

Male Human Sorcerer

Professor Mayhem points to Belledonna, "Remove yourself from my mind. If you touch it again and I survive then I will obliterate you were you stand. You are also not in charge here. We were told to take Mindjack to the center of the compound. One or all of them they will know who is gone. Hell the aliens will just have to recapture one to rip our images and target from their mind. If our benefactor wanted to make it a private affair he wouldn't be flying around out there destroying V'Sori ships or airdropping us right on top of the compound. This is a statement, an act of war, a challenge to the V'Sori overlords that think they own this place. Release them if you wish to co-sign them to death, because I doubt our benefactor will take them. Your argument is invalid."

'Congratulations. Now the V'sori know all they need do to thwart us is kill Mindjack.'
With that statement, Belledonna drops Professor Mayhem from the telepathic link.

Everyone else:
Actually, Belledonna drops everyone, but the rest of you 'hear' the beginnings of the stereotypical 'he makes me so ANGRY' scream starting first. Half a second later, you feel the link re-establish itself unless you resist it.
'That arrogant ass is very likely going to get Mindjack & possibly the rest of us killed. I wasn't joking about the bowel movements.'

DM Peanuts: How many drones could I fit into the 2" cubic volume of my mental illusion effect? What about the medium radius Stun?

I doublechecked Telepathy & since Masque is technically not 'in sight', I need to make a Smarts check to re-establish the link. Smarts: 1d10 ⇒ 10, Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 2. Alright, made it with the Smarts die, what a waste of an Ace...

Well then. I'd say the drop has successfully been got.

One drone is very very very dead.

As the drones tear open the door, Bad Penny exhales and sends two bolts blistering through the gap at one of the figures behind. Doubletap.

A poorly aimed magical blast streaks by him. He's already lining up the next shot as his "allies" hold a corporeal and mental hissy fit behind him. Bad Penny sighs.

Yes, yes you've both got phenomenal cosmic power and attitudes to boot. Now focus before the real world tears you a new orifice! Like poor Mentalator. Shouldn't have tried to take over those capes while in an active lumbermill...

Bad Penny opens fire again. Doubt suppressing fire would be much use against these. Got to take them out one at a time.

Shooting/Wild 1d12 ⇒ 81d12 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 2
Damage 1 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 5) = 16

Round 3, seven of clubs.

Abandoning the drone/toy Devil's Advocate moves easily to Mindjacks cell. Something about the lights in here make it hard to focus on the villain though.
Activating Mirage field. 3 levels of deflection vs. ranged attacks.

"Damm V'sori circuitry. Have to ask Mus'ad to bring one with us. Or maybe just the arm. Now the cell..."

Ignoring the firefight for a more interesting problem The Advocate studies the cell.

"Talk to me my pretty.."

The Advocate attaches two flat discs to what could be a control panel. Leads run from the discs to the computer wrapped around the Advocates arm.

"Do you like walks in the rain..."

Lights blink on arm unit and a low him issues from the wall panel.

"..or are you more a red wine and roses sorta girl?

(not sure what check to make to bollix the lock but I am hoping to open ALL the cells. Not really caring about alarms but I do want to avoid more interesting countermeasures. Repair roll? In anycase I'll roll it and the wild die and if I'm wrong let me know. Please add 4 if interface helps. Wild die 1d6 ⇒ 6, Repair 1d10 ⇒ 10. EDIT:WOW! Ace wild 1d6 ⇒ 3, ace repair 1d10 ⇒ 3. Total 13 or 17 with interface/codebreaker. I hope I chose the correct skill.)

Sorry DA, I was waiting for Bad Penny and Mus'ad to post their attack before I gave the resolution of your actions.

As the doors open Bad Penny unloads on one of the kneeling drones, putting two large holes through the thing, which crumples before it can get a shot off.

Mus'ad a moment later, hefts his drone and sends it flying at two on the other side.

Mus'ad Agility/Wild Die: 1d8 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 4
drone 1 Agility: 1d6 ⇒ 4
drone 2 Agility: 1d6 ⇒ 2

The drones in question manage to duck under the flying body of their comrade, but are thrown off balance in the process.
-2 Parry for those drones

-=-=-=-=-=-

The remaining seven drones level blasters at the would-be-Omegans--the invisible Masque being ignored, while Mus'ad and Bad Penny attract two each--and fire.

Shot vs. Mus'ad 1 (multi action penalty): 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Shot vs. Mus'ad 2: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Shot vs. Bad Penny 1 (multi action penalty): 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
Shot vs. Bad Penny 2: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Shot vs. Belledonna: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Shot vs. Professor Mayhem: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Shot vs. Devil's Advocate: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Belledonna and the Professor's arguments are interrupted as shots singe their outfits, startling them, while another splatters off of DA's armor.
Belledonna, DA, and Professor are shaken. Requires a spirit roll on your turn to act. Success = unshaken but cannot act that round, raise = unshaken and can act. If you fail the spirit roll then you can spend a benny to automatically become unshaken.

Making spirit rolls for the two shaken ones to see if their posted actions go through. Professor Mayhem you can make the roll when you post your second action.

Belledonna's Spirit/Wild: 1d10 ⇒ 81d6 ⇒ 3
Devil's Advocate's Spirit/Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 1
Explode: 1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 1

-=-=-=-=-=-

Uhh, whoops, Prof Mayhem's explosion was in round 3 wasn't it...
Professor's Agility/Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 21d6 ⇒ 1

Alright, so he goes after the Drone and has to make a spirit roll to become unshaken.
Professor's Spirit/Wild: 1d8 ⇒ 41d6 ⇒ 4
So Professor, if you wish for your round three action (the large template Ranged Attack) to go through, then you will need to spend a benny.

Round 4: Professor Mayhem (AD), Masque (AC), Bad Penny (QH), Mus'ad (9S), Devil's Advocate (7C), Belladonna (4D), Drones (3D)

No round 4 actions have 'occured' yet, just waiting to resolve all the round 3 actions :)

And merry christma/happy holidays!

Male Human Sorcerer

I am confused now. I held action beforehand for more drone arrivals, then pulled the (AD). My action following that was to blast the drones, so I am completely unsure where we are. I will spend the benny if I need too to do my action.

So I am unshaken & can act in the round?

bennies 4 ex 5 W:0 F:0 Card Noble Sacrifice

Oops sorry if I jumped the gun. Also a bit confused re: timing.

Bennies: 4 Wounds: 0 Exp: 4

I believe drones entered the room at the end of round three. Those who readied actions in round three until they arrived got to carry them out. Peanuts missed Professor Mayhem readying the ranged attack at first(thus not including him in the call for attacks by myself and Mus'ad) and then corrected himself. However the Prof rolled too low on agility to interrupt before the drones and so got shaken by their attacks. He'd need to spend a benny to act normally otherwise his held action is used to unshake as normal (didn't get a raise on the spirit roll). As soon as the Prof decides to spend a benny or not, the final actions of the third round will resolve and we'll start processing the fourth.

Prof still needs to post round 4 actions after this. The ranged attack he used was on round three.

That's my understanding of the current turn situation. Happy Holidays.

Bad Penny has it right...

Except I just realized that I only rolled to hit for the drones, and not actual damage :p We might have some wounds for you guys to take instead. Apologies for the confusion, still remembering how to run savage worlds, and people distracting me due to christmas.

All were double tap, so the drone actually scored a raise against the Professor. All shots are AP 4 (armor doesn't help too much against the V'Sori)

Belladonna's damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3, 5) + 1 = 12
vs. 5 toughness = 1 wound

Professor's damage: 3d6 + 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3) + (4) + 1 + (3) = 20
vs. 5 toughness = 3 wounds

Devil's Advocate's damage: 3d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2) + 1 + (4) = 18
vs. 5 toughness (after AP) = 3 wounds
