Aiming at the last remaining goblin, Potia lets loose willing her arrow to strike true! Attack-ranged:
Portia swiftly takes up her bow and fires on the nearest goblin. Attack-melee:
Perception:
Portia heads out to feed and care for Kai before she turns in.
Portia again eats her fill, then gathers whatever scraps that are left for Kai. She listens quietly to the others speak...being new she does not want to say anything silly or out of turn.
Finishing her meal, Portia go around to the other's plates and scrapes them clean of any leftovers. Once finished, she heads out to where she has left Kai and feeds him the scraps.
"I can see pretty well in the dusk or dawn, so I will take the morning watch. Who will join me?" Portia removes the special saddle and harness from Kai and lets him go out hunting with orders not to go too far away and to return before it is dark!
Taking aim at the orc, Portia releases another arrow. Attack-ranged:
Portia moves forward with Kai screening her and once she has a clear shot, fires at the (blue) goblin. Attack-ranged:
As the arrow flies past her and Kai, Portia reaches out and removes her bow from the saddle sheath. "Well that was decidedly unfriendly! Kai guard!"
Portia holds Kai's reins loosely in one hand, and her ax in the other. Her bow is secured in its saddle sheath, but in easy reach if she needs it. Perception:
Survival: Being at the back, Portia misses most of what happened. "What's going on? Why are they running? Is that normal?
"Oh my! Oh my! Orcs! Should we see what they are doing, or should we just keep going? I think we should at least make sure they are not up to mischief!" Reviewing the order of battle, Portia frowns. "Placing a little person like me up front might not be too good. I usually use a bow, however I can use this ax up close as well! Kai is also usually by my side too...so maybe that will make up for my size!"
Portia is excited by the new location, as she has never really been out of Daggerford before. The newness of the whole expedition has her smiling at everyone and everything. "I can see well in dusk and dawn, so I can take one of the first or last watches, if you want."
Ride: Riding on the back of the ax beak, Portia slides from the specially designed saddle as spry as when she mounted.
Moving slowly towards the wolf, Portia speaks to it in its own language. Wolf:
Hello Lorelei. I am Portia. I have a friend who is a large bird that I hope you will treat well. She is a friend and will not harm you.
"I think I have everything here, or on Kai. What a nice wolf you have! What was her name? I hope she and Kai get along alright?
The door to the tavern flies open and a gnome girl comes flying in. She has her long pink hair tied in pigtails on either side of her head. A pack on her back with a hand ax at her belt and a bow slightly taller than her gripped in her left hand. "I'm not late...I'm not late...Please tell me I am not late!?" she calls out breathlessly. A weird bird-like creature with a huge beak peeks its head in through the open door and gives out a shrill chirp. "Well it's your fault if we are late! I told you to leave the widow Easterbrooke's garden alone, but you just had to help yourself to one of her pumpkins!" She seems to suddenly notice all the people looking at her. "Errm...am I late?"
Dotting!! Perception:
Running in out of breath, a gnome girl carrying a bow just slightly bigger than herself skids to a halt. "Sorry..sorry...I just received my call-up papers and got here as fast as I could! Sorry for making you all wait! Hi Ulf!" |
