Pixie will follow along back to their forest home, hoping that the Lady Constance has been embarrassed and disgraced enough that she won't send retribution their way. The sorcereress is quite worried about this, coming from a noble background herself and knowing what those folks are like. When they make it back, she will put efforts into building some anti-human defenses up to keep their people from being snatched.
Pixie turns to her companions, a wide grin on her fungal face, and pumps her fist in the air. "We did it! That lady was so rude!" the sorceress then turns to their rescued friends and gives them big hugs. "Well, what do we do now? Should we head straight back to the village?"
Pixie steps away from Bamboo and then launches another rock at the creature, finding the strategy thus far to be effective.
Feeling much better after Fengal's battle medicine, Pixie uses her magic to fling another rock at Wisteria.
Pixie hesitates for a moment, and then stays put, deciding that she doesn't want to close the distance between herself and any of their enemies at the moment. So, she touches her chest a moment and gives herself Guidance, just in case.
Pixie moves forward and casts Produce Rubble at Wisteria, lifting a rock nearby with her magic and flinging it toward the leshy.
For your tracking - Pixie's guidance is worn off now.
Pixie takes a step back and then aims a rock squarely at Honeysuckle's chest.
Unfortunately, the rock goes wide, and Pixie grumbles at her failure.
Popcorn: DM has the colors with the names of our enemies under the spoiler tag "Enemy Stats" DM, I love this whole enemy stats, etc. thing. I'm going to steal it for my DMing.
Sensing the situation heading south, Pixie casts Nettleskin on herself. Nettleskin Details:
Thorns sprout from your body; they pass through and don't damage any clothing or armor you wear. Adjacent creatures that hit you with a melee or unarmed attack take 1d4 piercing damage as the nettles jab them and break off. Each time a creature takes damage in this way, nettleskin's duration decreases by 1 round.
"Ugh, this is so like human nobles!" Pixie complains, stepping forward a bit and assessing the situation. As much as she'd love to use one of her better spells, like Burning Hands, it seemed too many of her allies were in the crossfire. Instead, she holds her spongy hands in front of her to cast Produce Flame at Honeysuckle.
Pixie casts Guidance on herself before she finishes...just in case.
"Not only that, but you didn't animate them yourself!" Pixie pipes up indignantly, gesturing toward Amie, Zitha, and Solyin. She rests her hands on her hips, glaring up at Lady Constance. "And we don't belong to any humans. We're Wardens of the Forest, and we've been charged with rescuing our kidnapped people."
Pixie turns to the guests who clearly look uncomfortable and are muttering about intelligent plants. "Our people have been stolen for your entertainment, making them no better than slaves for your amusement. Does that sit well with you?" She challenges, glaring at the fancy-dressed tallfolk.
What do you need from us next, GM? I see we've been quiet for a few days and want to make sure I'm not missing something like someone went on vacation or something. :)
Pixie waves to the others and ducks down along with them, smiling and waving encouragingly to Popcorn as she made her way through.
Pixie hems and haws at the entrance, trying to figure out what would be the best way for her to get through this latest obstacle. She decides to try to squeeze through the gate, but not before using her ever-present and ever-useful Guidance cantrip to give her a little bit of a boost before attempting this.
Fortunately for her, she is able to smush and flatten herself out just to squeeze through the gap. She does her best to stay quiet, pausing and wiggling here and there as she finesses through to avoid making too much noise. Once she makes it past the gap, she will look carefully around their vicinity for any onlookers to warn her companions as they make their attempts.
Pixie goes on the hunt for some more information about Lady Constance, asking about her general demeanor, things people may have heard about her, and other such things. Before speaking to someone, the fungal sorceress taps herself on the chest for a bit of Guidance to help her be just that little bit more persuasive and charming.
Unused to being in a big city, at least to her, Pixie finds herself a bit in over her head and fumbles with even the slightest bit of small talk with the tall two-legs.
"We should ask around about this Lady Constance, too..." Pixie chimes in before they leave the city to make camp. "If she's the kind of person who hires someone to kidnap people, then we should know more about her before we go there, right?"
Pixie tries to dodge the wax that Darius has shot at her, but she isn't very fast or reactive in this new environment (or at all, really). She yelps when the hot wax covers part of her and a small flame takes root on her mushroom cap. The leshy pauses a moment to listen to Darius and glares at the human man. She didn't much like the idea of her being from Hell, but she would embrace it if it helped their cause. Just for a moment. "My word as a Hell fungus, yes," Pixie says, grinning maniacally. "As my angry friend said...tell us who. And stay out of our forest. Forever."
The small flame that had taken hold on her mushroom cap sputters out, finding little to use as fuel on her body despite the fact that she's a plant.
Pixie moves to the edge of the mudpit and raspberries Darius before holding her hands out in front of her and aiming a cone of random rubble and detritus at Darius and his waxy minion. "Where'd they go, Darius!? Where'd you send them? Tell us, and we'll stop!"
Only after she hits them with rubble does she momentarily freak out, realizing she's a little bit on fire.
Fortunately, the fire peters out...but not before scorching her a tad.
Oops! I misread something on the sheet and thought it meant 2, it was just a heightened thing. Thanks for pointing that out. Spellcasters are weird in 2e.
Pixie follows along inside, hesitating slightly. She hadn't really left the comfort of the forests before, and now they were running headlong into danger? She supposes it was part of the territory, being a Forest Warden, but it was certainly scary. At Darius's comment about ingredients coming right in, Pixie's face and resolve hardens: she might be scared, but she is certainly not a coward. The fungal sorceress moves around the table a little bit and raises her hands and lifting a loose bit of rubble from the ground to fling at Darius as hard as she can.
Elemental Toss rolls/details:
Pixie frowns and shakes her head. "I don't know how to disable these, but they're not going to make things easy for us if we have to get out of here quickly..."
Pixie accepts a sniff of the pretty jasmine candle, wondering if any of her kinfolk or people had been distilled to make the mixture, given their pursuit of the strange man. "Smells lovely," She comments with a grin, glancing at the door Darius is supposed to be behind. "If you will let us go speak with Darius, you'll stay out of trouble. Only those who help him are part of the problem, provided he's who we're looking for. Hopefully, he just knows more information."
Pixie narrows her eyes with suspicion and adds the lady running to the store to a silent, mental list of people to follow up with should they run into a dead end. "Well, thank you anyway...My friends and I are asking around town if you hear anything. You can't miss us." The fungal woman leaves the shop, looking to meet back up with her companions. She wanders into Darius's shop alongside Popcorn and Cedar, looking carefully around the room from her position to see if she can see anything... leshy-esque.
Pixie approaches the storefront consisting mostly of seeds and plants and enters, feeling a little more at home. Perhaps whoever was bothering them would also have an interest in plants, and perhaps the store owner would know? She taps herself with a guidance spell just to be safe before talking. "Petalbrook. A pretty name!" Pixie opens her discussion with whoever is at the counter by complimenting their town, something she would see as a favorable opening if someone were to approach her. She describes the problem they've encountered and the man that Glimmer described to them, ending with, "So, you see, we are wondering if you know of this man, or what he might be up to?"
"Oh! Wardens!? What an honor!" Pixie preens and happily accepts the gift from Glimmer. Pixie later accepts the blue seed from Popcorn, thrilled to have more goodies to stow away. "I've never had so much stuff! Do we need to do anything special before we head after the human?"
Sorry that I have been quiet - between a kidney stone (which is still making its way through my body hooray) and illness ripping through my household again, it's been a rough couple of days. Catching up now.
Remembering the drawing Thumis made, Pixie frowns. "Big could mean so much. I'm a little scared myself, to be honest!"
Pixie wanders around the camp, looking around at things until she hears Cedar say her name. She perks up, looking back at the shrubbish leshy inquisitively, about to reply...before she realizes that her companion is talking to an actual pixie. The fungal female makes her way forward, grinning and waving at Glimmer. "Hi Glimmer! I'm Pixie. Nice to meet you. We're tracking something big that scared our friend."
Pixie goes in the direction that Cedar points, tapping her chest again for some guidance as she tries to determine where the Big thing went.
She has very little luck, but thankfully, her friends are better at this than she is.
Is anyone still deciding on equipment? Or overwhelmed with the decision on equipment and wanting help? I just went with basic equip and two healing potions. I always feel overwhelmed by equipment decision-making, haha.
Pixie studies the drawing Thumis made seriously, filing it away for identification in the possible future. Then, the mushroom girl follows along behind Popcorn, looking over the area to try to find something herself. She touches her chest lightly, a greenish glow emitting from her palm--a spell to guide her path just a tad.
Pixie ends up finding a mushroom much like her own coloring and spends far too much time fascinated by it rather than being a help.
Pixie finally snaps back to reality after some time daydreaming, even through Thumis's and Popcorn's yelling. The fungal sorceress does a small panic dance and then rushes to join the others, a distraught look on her face.
"I'm not much help with making things..." She looks on the efforts to repair the bridge apprehensively, then goes to speak to comfort Thumis a bit while the others speak. "We will find out what happened, Thumis. But the others are right, you shouldn't come with us for now. Can you maybe draw out what the Big Big looked like?"
This is my third ever! I do not love this feeling, lol. The ER doctor said 5mm is the threshold for surgery, so I'm riiiight there...pain is under control, though. Working on a post now.
Sorry for my silence. I spent the morning in the ER and found out that I have a 4.7mm kidney stone. I will be more cognizant tomorrow. I've been on a lot of pain medication today.
Yet another leshy of the fungal variety comes bounding up to the group, waving her slightly chubby arms at the group. Her head is capped with a typical red-and-white toadstool and her body is mottled with the same spots. She smiles brightly at all of them, nodding in greeting.
Alright, I think I got her. How many hero points are we starting with, if at all?

My internet was out for an obnoxious amount of time and I didn't get her sheet done yesterday. Once I'm home from grabbing lunch, I'll be sitting down to finish her up. I'll post the path builder sheet so folks can see while I do the tedious task of finishing the alias. Luckily, I have a template.
I'm probably going to stick with the sorcerer then. Rogue is not very exciting to me.
Also, your houserules are fine. I have nothing off the top of my head that needs a ruling, but if something comes up, I'll let you know. :) I'm going to roll with her as a rogue and see what happens since we have a bard and a druid. I have seen other DMs also use Google Drawings for the combat maps and that's worked great. You can give people editing permission so we can move our tokens on it pretty easily. Slides is pretty easy, too.
I can also make Pixie a rogue for damage and stuff :)

I HATE that kind of gameplay theory, because it reduces everything about the game to combat roles. That sort of perspective works well for the crowd who thinks you HAVE to build in certain mechanical ways to have a character that is worth bringing to a table. This very accurately reflects my feelings on gameplay theory stuff. I'm honestly more of a flying by the seat of my pants person with character build and character planning. I prefer to just see where the story takes me. My ultimate drive in any game, especially play by post, is the creative aspect and exploration of different types of characters. As for my character's role, in like...MMO terms, she's largely DPS-heavy with a little bit of interesting magic/healing. Gestalt is very new to me, as well, so I am not as well-versed as some of you are in all of this mechanics stuff. And honestly, the crunch/mechanics aspect of any ttrpg is my least favorite part...I lose interest in it very easily. I am not in ttrpg stuff for the numbers game. It serves its purpose in creating structure, which I definitely appreciate (I have ADHD and I'm autistic, so I thrive with structure and all), but I am more interested in how our characters will fit together as people and how that will play out rather than the crunch. What roles our characters will fall into I think will depend on how they work together in-game.
