The paint job isn't stellar but better than I expected, especially for a common miniature. The pose is good and so is the sculpt. No unnecessary details that can ruin a prepaint (as the detail doesn't get painted in, or it tries to paint detail that isn't there), just enough to convey that this is a thugish character. I'm especially happy since good thuglike miniatures are hard to find for a reasonable price. Highly recommended. This miniature delivers. Pathfinder Battles—Legends of Golarion: Toad Demon (Hezrou)WizKids/NECAOur Price: $10.00 Add to CartBig and menacingPatrik Ström —A great demon miniature. Big and menacing. If there is a flaw it would be that the colors aren't that exciting but other than that this one is a hit. Pathfinder Battles—Legends of Golarion: Serpentfolk MysticWizKids/NECAOur Price: $5.00 Add to CartA pleasant surprisePatrik Ström —The serpentfolk mystic had me pleasantly surprised. The sculpt is really good and the paintjob as well (if not abit bland). The only weakness is that the eyes are just two rather big white dots. Other than that it's a great figure. Pathfinder Battles—Rise of the Runelords: Seoni, Human SorcererWizKids/NECAOur Price: $11.00 Unavailable A big disappointmentPatrik Ström —This miniature suffers from a bad sculpt and a tacky paint job. There is the atempt at detail in the paint jobs (like Seoni's tatoos) but they come off as sloppy and rushed. The face is poorly sculpted and with the paint job it looks like a caricature Senoi that's been sucking on a lemon. The staff and dagger (?) on her back are sculpted as two parts parted by her braided hair (which also doesn't look that good) and it shows. I don't recommend this miniature. This miniature hoovers somewhere between two and three stars. The overall sculpt is good but the miniature is diminished by the poorly made face (Ameiko is noticeably missing her mouth) and bland paintjob. Pathfinder Battles—Rise of the Runelords: Kaven WindstrikeWizKids/NECAOur Price: $7.50 Add to CartNice rougish figurePatrik Ström —The paintjob leaves something to be desired (as mentioned there are things missing from the face) but the pose is cool and dynamic. Great figure for a rogue. A good kobold miniature. Nice paint job and good enough pose. Easy to repaint. This is a great figure. The pose is solid, enough details and a quality prepaintjob. Good for a mean pirate and would also work great as a achetypical sword and sorcery mercenary. Five stars. This is a really cool miniature. Good details and a menacing pose. The only drawback is that the loincloth is painted with the same color as the rest, but I think the overall figure makes up for that flaw. This figure has a good paintjob and is nicely detailed. The biggest plus is that the face has some detail, which alot of the other humanoid Pathfinder Battles miniatures lack. A very good miniature of many uses. This is a good sculpt equipped with a good paintjob (the face could use abit more attention). This is a quite good sculpt (beside the hands, and perhaps you could argue that the pose is kind of stale). Good details for a prepaint. The paintjob is however abit singular with not that many contrasts which gives it a bland impression. Pathfinder Battles—Skull & Shackles: Lirianne, Half-Elf GunslingerWizKids/NECAOur Price: $10.00 Unavailable Not that good at allPatrik Ström —This figure has numerous problems. The original artwork contains so much detail which his hard to deliver on a prepainted figure. The details on this sculpt are kind of mushed and the paintjob is splotchy. The way the face is painted makes Lirianne look more like a porcelain doll than a grizzled adventurer. Good pose and fairly detailed, this figure makes for a good choice as a cleric or light fighter type character. The one thing that is not up to par is the face which is not very detailed at all. A nice rendition of Tessa Fairwind in plastic, although with some flaws. The pose seems kind of stiff, the paintjob has got some noticeable areas where the paint has went out of bounds. The face is decent but it leave the figure with an concerned expression. Perhaps not that fitting to the model. All and all a good figure, with some drawbacks. Pathfinder Battles—Skull & Shackles: Seltyiel, Half-Elf MagusWizKids/NECAOur Price: $10.00 Unavailable Good pose, disappointing paint job and sculptPatrik Ström —The figure has a very cool pose and a decent sculpt, but it has numerous flaws. The paintjob looks dabbled on with alot of "paint bleed" into areas. Also some details are painted on which rarely comes out good on a prepainted miniature. The head and face is also a area of concern as Seltyiel seems to lack a neck, the nose is very flat and the eyes are just two black (and somehat mushed) dots. The Lamia Matriarch miniature delivers. A good paintjob for being prepainted with no real flaws. This is a great representation of the RotRL dire bear. Good pose, nice pain scheme. I've had some trouble with the Pathfinder Battles miniatures line that the final mini is vastly inferior to the paint master. This is not the case with the dire bear. What you seen on the picture is what you get. This is great fighter miniature. As all of the other miniatures (i've seen) of the Chronicles Miniatures it's nicely detailed little or no flash. My favorite miniature of a really good miniature line. Pathfinder Battles—Heroes & Monsters: Giant Caveweaver SpiderWizKids/NECAOur Price: $14.00 Unavailable The best spider i've seenPatrik Ström —This is the best PPM giant spider i've seen. The "fangs" on its head doesn't quite match up but other that that... Wow. Just Wow. As the previous reviews have pointed out this miniature does go abit overboard with the red, but with a mini like this that is a minor concern. This is one creepy critter! I was unsure of how to feel when i first heard about the Pathfinder PPM. The digital shots of the miniatures gave alot of promises but the on the other hand i have my experiences with Wizkids Mage Knight miniatures (who has some nice sculpts but really horrible paintjobs). All and all the quality is resonable for the price of the product. The good makes up for the bad. Pathfinder Miniatures: Hookmaw Kreeg, Ogre BarbarianReaper MiniaturesList Price: Our Price: $17.09 Add to CartPerfect representationPatrik Ström —This is miniature is a perfect representation of Hookmaw. Lots of large areas with well defined details makes this one quite easy and quick to paint. Five stars all the way. I only have one problem with this miniature: Rise of the Runelords spoiler:
If you choose his miniature to represent Hookmaw, what are you going to use for Jaagarath? There isn't a ogre mini that get's to tower over this one. This miniature is just to good that if you choose to include both him and Jaagarath he would outshine him completely. So, we really need a Jaagarath miniature! Pathfinder Miniatures: Captain Colton Maldriss (PaizoCon 2011 Exclusive)Reaper MiniaturesList Price: Our Price: $3.00 Add to CartGood pose, average miniPatrik Ström —The dynamic pose aside i was a little bit disappointed with this mini. It doesn't have the clear defined details that you usually get from reaper. His front arm molds together with the miniature in abit of a sloppy way and i had abit of trouble getting the hands/sword-piece to fit with the rest of the miniature. But all and all, it's a solid figure, although abit below what i've come to expect from reaper. |
