Dark Archive

You seem to have misunderstood. I will intervene on his behalf should things come to violence.

You're a smart man, Agirran, despite how you act. What benefit is there to assaulting an otherwise innocent man? What is there to gain, robbing him of whatever small joy has been brought back to his life? Don't we owe him that much, considering Deris has been nothing but helpful up to this point?

Dark Archive

I'll oppose that. Let the man do what he wants. He'll either chew his own tongue off or end up down here again anyways.

Dark Archive

Thanks for the game GM, everyone!

Dark Archive

"Perhaps they could also answer how she could have survived down here. The ring explains the means, surely, - and no wonder the good Lady had us search for it - but am I the only who raised question that a young girl managed to climb inside of a sarcophagus and pull a two-hundred pound lid closed over herself?"

Dark Archive

Bosbain quickly rushes in, seeing an opportunity as the ghast attacks Rika. Gripping his falcata with two hands he delivers a strong chop against the undead.

"It's a Ghast specifically. A tough customer to be sure, but by the looks of things it has quite the collection of bobbles - I say we liberate those relics on behalf of the Pathfinders."

Dark Archive

"Deris we need to make it to the lowest level of this building. Can you get us there?" says Bosbain without otherwise acknowledging their encounter with the wights.

Surprise Round

Bosbain moves cautiously to a position beside Agirran and waits patiently for the creatures to attack.

Round 1

Move Action to study Red Ghoul. Readying an attack to hit it should it move into my reach.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Dark Archive

"It hardly seems surprising that the spirits of the dead are trapped here. Rika has the right of it, we should stay focused."

Kn Religion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Dark Archive

Do we still need to identify the ring if we made the perception check?

Dark Archive

Now that things were starting to pick up, Bosbain aligns himself with the ruins around him.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

He grabs the ring from the rubble and brushes it off. "What a curious little trinket." he says, pleased.

Dark Archive

Are we allowed to post out of initiative order?

Dark Archive

Bosbain moves slowly in behind the rest of the party and, seeing that there's no more room at the bugbear's side he elects to instead bolster his companions.

Dark Archive

Bosbain comes down last, eyeing Deris queerly as he does.

Kn Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

He draws his own weapon and gives an experimental swing at nothing, just to reassure himself of his use. He quickly follows after the rest.

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Dark Archive

I don't think I was in the pool unless I had to be to pick up the rope.

Dark Archive

Bosbain will help pull Jal in

Dark Archive

Yeah, I though she was a ghost of some sort...

"Mmmm, and I didn't bring any air crystals either. Perhaps it would be wise to scout around a bit before we commit?"

Can I attempt Kn: Religion to identify if the apparition is a true undead of some sort?

Dark Archive

Still smilint, Bosbain will shuffle his way to the rear of the group.

Dark Archive

"Delightful!"

Dark Archive

Bosbain waves off the moody tiefling as he steps up to meet the handshake.

"Good day, sir. We are Pathfinders here on business. Who might you be?"

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Dark Archive

Bosbain nods as Brother Tophor holds the door: "Much oblidged."

Once they make it within the immediate area of the fence he speaks up again, putting his hands together excitedly. "So, what'll it be? Do we establish a base-camp here in relative safety or do we press on bravely in the face of unknown odds?"

Dark Archive

"Perhaps the cat has his tongue? We have the key though, don't we? We hardly need to become to personal with yon cryptkeeper."

Dark Archive

"Indeed. Seeing as we'll already be in the area it should be a fairly simple piece of side work."

Dark Archive

Anyone interested in learning anything while we're here or are we just putting on pleasant faces for the sake of it?

Dark Archive

Bosbain stops for a moment, feigning shock and remorse. Really though, he had been thrown off slightly by how little Lady Dacilane's words had to do with...well, anything.

He quickly recovers himself: "Truly a tragedy, Lady, and allow me to reiterate on behalf of the Pathfinders how grateful we are to be given access to the Tri-Towers yard. Hopefully knowing that history will thank you can grant you solace, however small."

Dark Archive

Bosbain eats and makes merry with his companions, their hostess, and whatever other guests there may be.

Near the end of the meal, however, he finds a chance to ask Lady Dacilane a question:

"You've been such a delightful hostess this evening, madame." he says jovially "surely there is something we can do in return?"

He carries his voice in such a way that his comment could be taken as friendly manner, rather than the pointed question in light of the setting that it really is. As he speaks he scans her face for a reaction, trying to gauge the conversation...

Dark Archive

"Who, me? What do I even have to lie about?" replies Bosbain as he deflects the look with a smile.

Dark Archive

"I'd wager that we were all intended recipients based on the wording, but that's neither here nor there. I'm afraid further discussion of crashing memorials will have to be set aside. The evening approaches and I have yet to find a proper vest for the occasion!"

Dark Archive

"You speak as if you stand nothing to gain in the exchange, my fine-chested friend."

Dark Archive

No big posts right now but ill purchase appropriate clothing.

Dark Archive

"Likely they'll have something to ask of us."

Dark Archive

"How delightfully macabre!" comments Bosbain as he rises from his seat. With an offered arm he prepared to exit the meeting with his companion "Certainly a fitting beginning to our little venture. Ah, yes, that has put me in high spirits. I look forward to seeing you again so, my wonderful compatriots!"

With that he'll leave the office of the Venture Captain to make the necessary preparations for his trip to the Drownedyard.

"No doubt heaving with the undead, and what's worse, probably some darling scions of high society"

"A taste of the local flavour then; should be quite the evening."

Dark Archive

"Short and too the point, and best of all: perfect work for the Dark Archives. I like it. Not too far from home either."

"By the sounds of it our best bet will be to go through the ruins of the Tri-Towers Yard and look for an access to the necropolis in the lower levels."

Dark Archive

Bosbain chuckles as he wipes away the spit on his cloak. "Ten-to-one, it's all unpleasant. I mean, in the end, does it really matter which wonderfully poetic personification finally does you in?"

Dark Archive

"A Varisian fortune teller" replies Bosbain as he matches the Ulfens sultry demeanor with his own mischievous smile.

"'Avail yourself of the future, friend, lest you find yourself unguarded against the whims of fate.' At least, that's the sales pitch."

He draw closer to Agirran: "Personally, I think it fills the head with too many unnecessary...details." he offers out a bony hand "My name's Bosbain. Delighted to make your acquaintance."

Dark Archive

Wrapped snuggly in his wool cloak is the second of the Dark Archives. A toothy grin and charming word are offered to those who great him. By the looks of his mundane belongings it is clear that this is his first outing, though he'd be happy to say as much if asked.

Accompanying him is a young woman with notably milky eyes - a trait shared in part by him. The two talk in earnest amongst themselves.

Dark Archive

Looking forward to playing with you all.
