Can you cancel my subscription for Pathfinder Society Scenarios? Since I'm a venture agent now, I no longer need this subscription or to be charged for it. Thanks!

Hello Onathrin,

This has been a rough month for your subscriptions! Thank you for being so patient and courteous. Unfortunately we have seen a few books with a similar problem. They are few, but it's certainly does present difficulty trying to read the adventure! I have set up a replacement for Adventure Path #131 in your sidecart to generate with your next subscriptions. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. Thank you!

Thanks for your help, Sam.

This is not my month for subscriptions.

I just received this order and my copy of Pathfinder Adventure Path #131: The Reaper's Right Hand (War for the Crown 5 of 6) is defective.

It's missing pages 1-16 and instead has 17-32 repeated twice.

Opening the front cover:

Where the repeat happens:

Could I get a replacement copy for this?

Thanks in advance for this and for the entire team's hard work.

It appears that there was some odd behavior in your sidecart having to due with PaizoCon pickup and some of those setting hanging around for longer than they should have. I believe I have fixed the issue, and I have generated all of your subscription items into a new order. You should soon receive a confirmation email for this order. Please review the confirmation email, and let me know if everything that should be included is there, and once I have that confirmation from you, we will make sure the order gets sent out. Thank you!

Thanks for looking into this.

I've reviewed the email and everything looks good from this end. Definitely looking forward to this order.

My players got to the jubsnuth tonight and that encounter did not go at all like I anticipated.

It emerged into the clearing. I described it's slathering, it's gnashing teeth in both mouths.

Then before I could call for initiative to be rolled, the xenoseeker mystic in the party declared she was casting charm monster on it....

and of course, it failed the saving throw, even with the threatened bonus.

She befriended it, made some amazing rolls on Survival to communicate with it and got it to follow her.

She named it Jubjub.

I had it lick her friendly like... so they lead it into the next encounter with the atrocite.

The atrocite centered his opening spell (cosmic eddy) on the jubsnuth. it failed it's save and so i had it panic and trample in a random direction... which ended up running right over the poor mystic. While the rest of the party engaged the atrocite, the mystic attempted to calm the jubsnuth down and did so successfully. She then tried to coax it to attack the atrocite by luring it towards the strocite by casting Wisp Ally... and that succeeded as well.

Needless to say, that poor atrocite became a meal of the Jubsnuth thanks to swallow whole.

We were laughing pretty hard at that.

I haven't received any spawning notice for my June subscriptions yet and it's making me a little nervous as I've usually seen it by now. I'm also seeing other people (including local friends) having already received products. My concern is that I really needed Dead Suns #6 for my ongoing campaign.

I should be receiving:
•Pathfinder Adventure Path: #131: The Reaper’s Right Hand (War for the Crown #5 of 6)
•Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Distant Realms
•Pathfinder Maps: Flip-Mat: Bigger Village
•Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Planar Adventures
•Starfinder Adventure Path: Empire of Bones (Dead Suns #6 of 6)

What got me even more nervous are these entries in my subscriptions:

https://i.imgur.com/OBex3gg.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/uDiZF2B.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/TSlXx8w.jpg

The two APs show a volume being skipped (the ones for the June shipment) and the RPG subscription shows doesn't even list Planar Adventures.

Can you please look into this and get back to me? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Sam.

Though I do still have a question about my ongoing subscription orders.

On the "My Subscriptions" page, I'm seeing this:

I'm a little concerned about the phrase "There are no upcoming products for this subscription on the product schedule." considering the number of subscriptions I have.

Could you look into this?

I'm having some problems with this order (Order 5140118).

I had originally selected for it to be picked up at Paizocon 2018. However, when I tried to pick it up, I was told there was no order waiting for me other than a single issue of the pathfinder comic, which wasn't even there at the store. I didn't think anything of it at the time, I figured the order would just ship out to me.

Now when I look at the order it tells me it was picked up and that I was charged for it (I confirmed on my bank statement).

I never received the order by shipment. I never picked it up. And strangely, there are no PDFs on my account for these items either due to the subscription.

Could you look into this please?

Hello Onathrin,

Thank you for letting us know. It looks like the issue is that you started a Starfinder Society Scenarios subscription when you started all of the other subscriptions. So the system was trying to generate the ones for the sub you started instead of the free ones you get for having the four physical subs. I have cancelled the subscription that was causing the issue. The order should now reflect the PDFs being free.

Cool! Thanks Diego!

My group as of the beginning of Book 2

Ceres, Female aasimar sorcerer (fey) 5/Archmage 1
-- Riftwarden Orphan
Kayden, Male Angel-blooded Aasimar Paladin 5/Champion 1
-- Child of the Crusades
Kilarra, Female Rakshasa-Spawn Tiefling Paladin 5/Guardian 1
-- Child of the Crusades
Renner, Male Human Ranger 5/Champion 1
-- Touched by Divinity
Jamir, Male Halfling Oracle of Heavens 3/Ranger 2/Heirophant 1
-- Touched by Divinity

I got some interesting choices from my players on the traits.

The two paladins are siblings (how messed up is that family bloodline, right?) and they have a friendly sibling rivalry between them.

The two who have been touched by Divinity chose Cayden Cailean as their deity of choice.

I'm integrating 4th season PFS adventures into my Shattered Star game roughly in this order:

1 - Rise of the Goblin Guild - It was a good introduction to Sheila and how she operates.

2- Shards of Sin

3 - Dawn of the Scarlet Sun - By my count they'll be level appropriate for this adventure around this point. Running it before "Curse of the Lady's Light" instead of after.

4 - In Wrath's Shadow - To get them thinking about Lissala and the cult, and drop a little extra foreshadowing of what's coming in "The Waking Rune"

5 - Curse of the Lady's Light

6 - The Cultist's Kiss

7/8 - The Asylum Stone/Feast of Sigils - Running these two intermixed as they both take place in Kaer Maga

9 - The Refuge of Time

10 - Words of the Ancients

11/12 - Beyond the Doomsday Doorway/The Waking Rune - Which one goes first depends on how I feel the party is doing at this point.

13 - Into the Nightmare Rift

14 - The Dead Heart of Xin

So far we've done Rise of the Goblin Guild and started Shards of Sin. And so far, the transitions I've planned have appeared seemless. I know the real test will come after Curse of the Lady's Light where my players will start to have more options on what they want to pursue.

All the pages were sticking together in the upper corner and when I separated them, the ink was peeled off many of the pages.

I'm including a few sample (if slightly blurry) pictures.

My campaign is getting really close to the end.

Last night, my players managed to secure the alliances with Charon, Iggwilv, Orcus, and the Court of Stars.

Some of the more notable scenes:

The party trying to convince Charon they were not responsible for the diversion of the River Styx... until Charon pointed out that the Styx wouldn't have been diverted if they hadn't provoked the big D. They were quick to apologize after that.

While waiting for Iggwilv to be available in the waiting room, the party wizard started thumbing through the mysterious seventh volume of the Demonomicon of Iggwilv that was found in the Wells of Darkness. One of the arcanaloths was serving the party drinks while they waited and saw this.
His eyes widened:
"I was not aware that there were seven volumes..."
The wizard without looking up:
"That's why you're the apprentice."

While the party fighter fought the death giant in the arena and the rest of the party was sitting near Orcus. Orcus continually berated the warblade and praised his death giant (I was so disappointed, they managed to make the Diplomacy roll so I didn't get to use the Crawling Head). The party pretty much asked Orcus to put his money where his mouth is. So they managed to get Orcus to bet with them. After the warblade defeated the death giant... barely, he was standing with only 1 hit point left (and he made his save against the death effect... Grrr)... after being smacked with three critical hits the previous round. Orcus made his "I'll win your battle for you." speech and vanished without paying... but I had a balor pay them the money owed as they were leaving. I wanted to emphasize that Orcus made a commitment and would honor his word... for now.

My group is just about to finish the Lightless Depths. They gave themselves an adventuring company name, so as to not be shown up by the Jade Ravens. They've really taken that rivalry and run with it.

The Steel Dragons
Xavier Aldrun - Human warblade. The leader of the Steel Dragons. Former gladiator who has won the heart of Lavinia Vanderboren. He's taken the leadership feat and has convinced Kaskus Kiel to become his cohort, adding to the rivalry between the Jade Ravens.

Jonus Taskerhill - Human wizard. Member of the Sasserine nobility and the Witchwardens. He doesn't care for his family much, including his brother Avner. (I changed Avner to be his brother so the party would at least have a reason to keep him alive.) Currently romantically involved with Amella.

Brishaa Stormrage - Half-orc barbarian rogue. She's embraced the life of the sea and considers the Sea Wyvern to be her ship. Nobody has called her on this.

Lindisty Swiftfeet - Cleric of Lydia, daughter of Worrin Lidu. She is mourning the death of Enialas to whom she followed to the Isle of Dread. She's taken his name to honor him.

Nacalli - Olman ranger. Master of the greatbow and very knowledgeable on the Isle of Dread.

Laezara - Elven fighter. She's very skilled with her elven courtblade and is very vain. She was quite freaked out when she fell victim to Vile Rigidity after being attacked by one of the troglodyte lepers.

The Fallen
Corwin Kasgard III - The son of a cooper in Sasserine, Corwin was a swashbuckler who was unfortunately slain in battle with the Lemorian statue in "Here There Be Monsters"

Enialas Swiftfeet - Half-elven cleric of Fharlanghn. Called Ian by his friends, he was slain by Emraag the Glutton during the "negotiation".

Aaron and Sean,

I apologize if I came off as being "my way is better." Wasn't my intention at all. I was showing you how I handled those situations that you considered to be problems in an attempt to help you have a more enjoyable campaign.

It is unfair, however, to expect the adventures to run perfectly. Every printed adventure I've ever seen recommends that you at least familiarize yourself with the adventure prior to running it. There are some encounters I didn't run because I didn't think my particular batch of players would enjoy them.

Ultimately, if you aren't enjoying the adventures, my suggestion is to not play them. Do as one of the previous posters recommended: sell the book and find something more suited to your tastes.

My group called themselves "The Crimson Howlers" mostly because Prickles amused them.

Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Pathfinder Campaign Setting, Maps, Modules, Roleplaying Game Subscriber; Pathfinder Comics Subscriber; Starfinder Charter Superscriber

My campaign is in the middle of Flood Season at the moment. I was having a few of these concerns myself. Especially Drakthar. That DR made me nervous, but when my party finally encountered him, I ran him as is. After a few rounds of not damaging him, the cleric of Wee Jas (oh that's gonna be fun later on isn't it?) managed to get a stupendous rebuke undead roll on him. The party regrouped and started thinking about what they knew about undead. Then someone came up with the idea of using Cure spells against him. And sure enough they had him on the ropes not too long after that. Many of my players in fact told me that the fight with Drakthar was one of most challenging and most fun they'd had in a long time. Book did it's job if we all had fun, right?

I was also nervous they weren't getting enough treasure for their levels. In fact, I was about to drop them an extra reward on them. (One of the player's characters is a Lathenmire... was going to play the "we gave your sister some money for her adventuring party...") But then every character started regularly shopping at Skie's. They were starting to ask her to order and were paying for +1 weapons. So I'd say the treasure distribution is just right.

And as for that one spell in the spellbook that's 3.0 instead of 3.5? Well, ours went something like this.:

"That spell isn't in the Player's Handbook."
"Oh, well substitute Spell X with it."
"Ok"

I have to say, I'm impressed. Usually when I preorder something and I'm given a specific date for it to arrive, I'm happy if it shows up within a week of that given date.

My Shackled City book showed up yesterday (the 28th) with a letter apologizing for it not showing up on the 27th.

The folks at Paizo are top notch and will definitely continue to receive my support (and most importantly, my money!) just for the extra mile they seem to go for the customer... even over something as minor as a 1 day delay.

Way to go guys!
