Considered inspiring summons by having a Summoner /bard but I like the idea of more diverse spells that the evangelist gives. ![]()
![]() So my fiancee agreed to learn to play and run a game for me as a gift for Valentine's day. Now I'm not sure what she will be running yet most likely a module or adventure path. All I know is it will be solo 20 pt buy and I will gestalt so I have kicking around ideas for characters. Right now I have a master Summoner / alchemist embarkin aasimar. Plan is to summon meat shields use a reach weapon and have elidon for scouting and alchemical throwing later for wand usage. I also plan on picking up leadership asap. I am not 100% sold on this concept and was hoping I could get others input incase there was a combo I didn't think of. Thanks.

![]() The way the spell reads the pit is extra dimensional so it is just an open hole to an extra dimension no actual pit on the material plane. So you should be able just have allies grab the ends and pick it up folding it bed sheet style. It is something that you could maybe do once and then a gm says "yeah that's not happening again" I mainly just like the visual and possibly the reaction. ![]()
![]() So create pit is extra dimensional space that doesn't displace any underlying ground. Therefore you should be able to cast it on a 20 by 20 sheet if it were flat on the ground. If you were to do this and end up with a creature in the pit what would happen if you then folded up the sheet? Or even say threw the sheet into a fire or otherwise destroyed it. I'm not sure if anyone has asked anything like this before a quick search didn't yield any results. ![]()

![]() I use a nexus 7 it doesn't have the price tag of the ipad and battery gets me well through our gaming sessions. I find myself using masterwork tools, I also hop on the srd with it, and have a few PDFs open as well. The PDF navigation will depend heavily on the app you are using I use adobes and another generic free reader if I want to have multiple PDFs opened at the same time and just swap between the two. ![]()
![]() You could house rule while they do not stack, if you read a tome of say +3 and you already have a +1 some one could read over your shoulder and take the leftover +1 when you upgrade. Basically moving the lower bonus to another willing party member who spends the time reading as well. Not perfect, but it prevents the economy issue mentioned and doesn't punish players for early buffing. I would allow it. ![]()
![]() Ssalarn wrote: Yeah, Full Caster Archers can be effective, but they have a hard time being "archers" without some pretty heavy investment towards it. Oracles are probably the best full caster to go the Archery route since they have a couple mysteries that complement it. I'd probably suggest the Battle mystery for the Weapon Mastery bonus feats, but I know there's a few more that work as well. Just don't pick the Clouded Vision curse! Yeah about half his spells are devoted towards buffing for his archery and all of his feats, he does gain some versatility from revelations and bonus spells. If you want full caster go oracle otherwise use divine hunter paladin archetype. ![]()
![]() I did a dream sequence game once as a set up for a game I would be running later. It actually spanned across a few different game systems, each player decided a system, everyone made a character for each system and all the characters of a character leveled at the same rate. They were playing in each others dreams as characters they had not made yet were in stasis in my homebrew world where their actions in each others dreams where making them the part of the godly portfolio of that world. When a character whose dream they were in would go unconscious everything started to go black and white and fuzzy and slow until they were revived, if they died all the players were forced into another players dream with the player taking penalties while there psyche repaired itself. ![]()
![]() I have played every core race and quite a few monstrous ones. I have yet to play a gunslinger and a cavalier, but that doesn't mean I have ruled them out. I have played every alignment but LE. The the only thing I dislike doing with one of my characters is dumping a stat for purely mechanical reasons. I like my stats to be at least 10. ![]()
![]() Just as a courtesy to your group I would stick to a straight Summoner unless they are okay waiting for your to resolve the actions of all your summoned monsters or if you and them are okay with them taking the reigns on controlling some of the summoned monsters. Even with the straight summoner assuming a party of four starting out you now effectively have a party of six with three of them being you.

![]() Considering the environmental factors I would consider getting either Orc or Boreal bloodline to get survival as a class skill. You could also get survival as a class skill via trait I'm sure there is one. All you would need to get with a survival check is a 10 to find food for yourself and a 15 to avoid getting lost and predict the weather. Consider Endure Elements (I would weigh it against more combat control or damaging spells, though human substitution does allow you more spells known)I am a big fan of Color Spray early on you can always drop it later but early on it can end encounters and should be pretty useful for most of the early encounters that Kingmaker has to offer.
