After hearing an old man shouting, Nikole looks around to find the source of the noise.
Is that a drow going into the alley? Oh no... no drow will harm the people of this town, not when they can be paying customers.
Nikole holds up her skirts as she follows the drow into the alley.

Well, Nikole's background does mention that she would find a replacement for herself in running the trade when she eventually plans to go off on expeditions & such.
Or he could simply be an NPC that Nikole knows. As a merchant, Nikole would need a lot of downtime to act as one to keep up the business which is why I thought that either a hireling/NPC would be a good way to keep her 'hands free'.

Do I consider Karlo as a hireling? It's likely we won't be taking him during adventures as he's selling Nikole's stuff for her while she's off adventuring.
I was thinking to pay him 40% of the profits from trading, if we're allowed to roll for such.

Among the stalls of the marketplace is a young lady, her pretty face hidden underneath a hood and a translucent blue veil. Green eyes sparkle with intelligence as she scrutinizes the various wares on display, but pays special attention to one in particular. A start-up merchant named Karlo can be found in one of the stalls, selling various potions she has brewed a month before.
I do hope Karlo stays in the family service, he's very good at convincing people the necessity of our potions. He looks quite striking too, despite his age.
Karlo bows to Nikole in respect as she passes by and she nods in acknowledgement and gestures with her hand, a traditional sign of a job well done.
Nikole moves along, her small pack clinking with her potions and extracts, on a path that was not familiar to her but somehow felt right anyway.

I am sorry Grith, my eyes were playing tricks on me and had funny fingers to go along that night as well.
@GM - Can either Girth or me change archetype before we start? We're both filling in the same type of alchemist at the moment...
@Girth - so who do you think will switch if allowed? Your filling in the Arcane/Scholar role so I think your a better candidate but if you already have future plans for your PC, then I will instead since I don't have definite plans yet. :P
Well, if ever we both are accepted, despite being the same class archetype filling different roles (maybe one of us change archetype before the start?), Nikole can share it for copying. She doesn't care, Nikole thinks she's rich.
@Grith & GM - I did pick up a Chymist's Guidebook, but I can't prepare extracts from higher level spells/formula until her class level has allotment for it.
I thought I did a second post, before noticing Grand Moff's name, 'cause we have the same avatar. haha
@GM - I would serve as a bank for now then. If Nikole gets picked, we'll have a discussion with the party on the other tools or gear we need thru RP. She does have an extra bedroll to have a 'companion' in the tent though.
I'm going to subtract 105gp (starting average) from my inventory. I added 900gp to the 1/4 level 7 starting gold. Reading back however, the trait says her starting gold increases to 900gp, not as a bonus.
