Morrighan will cast good hope on everyone and vanish on herself as they approach the fracas. In the last round before we attack she'll start her Raging Song.

"We'll do whatever it takes, my lady." Turning to the rest of the group, Morrighan says, "Is anyone injured? We should deal with the earl quickly, before anyone else is killed."

Morrighan says, "You cannot hide from me, devil!" and casts glitterdust (DC 14) on the enemy. She also continues her performance.

Giovanni, were you including the +2 Will save bonus from Raging Song?

If Giovanni indeed fails his Will save, Morrighan will cast unbreakable heart.

If Giovanni makes his save, she'll use spell kenning to cast see invisibility and point out the woman's location to Milo.

She then casts mirror image and moves in closer to the door.

I'm in favor of a direct approach. I like your idea of pretending to have a message for a Senator.

"Well...a lot of halflings are about to get a good shaking, I suppose. Any other advice before we head to the Senate?" Morrighan pins the aide badge to her lapel and brushes off her coat, ready to head out.

"If anyone is resourceful in a pinch, its a group of Pathfinders. Did the assassins have any sort of identifying badge or feature? I'd hate to accost every halfling we run into."

"This seems like quite the serious situation. What would you recommend we do at the Senate building? Is Lady Gloriana there? Saving her should be our among our first priorities."

Morrighan groans as Gurkagh patches her up.

To the chamberlain, she says, "I apologize for the deception, but we are on a mission that involves Taldan national security, and a little subtly was called for."

Taking a blood-stained hand off her healing wounds, she adds, "Though these assassins evidently decided to take a more direct approach to eliminating their opposition. Do you have any idea why they might be in your house? They said something about eliminating opposition to Stavian."

I've been forgetting that I cast heroism. I don't think it's been more than 70 minutes, but please -2 if it has.

Morrighan lets a bit of haughtiness creep into her voice, but she's not out-right rude to the chamberlain.

"Our business with Vernisant is our own. It is a shame he is not here, since personally he invited us to travel all the was from Magnimar for the Day of Exaltation." She purses her lips in frustration. "We were unfortunately delayed."

"Vernisant was light on details, but promised our attendance was of utmost important. Did he perhaps leave a message for us?"

Again, I'll take 10 for a 20. Everyone who wants to assist please do so!

"What an unfortunate delay. Do you know when he will return?"

Morrighan thinks for a moment.

"We could speak with your chamberlain, but my companions have traveled a long way to get here. Would you be able to provide us with refreshments before we meet?"

Morrighan tries to exude the attitude that not granting her request would be very rude.

I'll just Take 10 for Bluff 20 and Diplomacy 23, if needed. If anyone wants to assist, please jump in.

"As much as I would love a doppelganger-style face off, perhaps we can walk an easier path by pretending to be foreigners. It would cover our gaps in knowledge of local events. Eorstan, you're Varisian, unless I miss my guess. Do you know anyone that we could impersonate?"

"We can come up with a cover story and make our way into the estate while the master is away, cowing the servants if we must."

Morrighan assesses the group.

"Shall we be envoys from Magnimar or Korvosa? Such a motley crew as us would not be out of place in Varisia."

Being a noble is too conspicuous! I like to work behind the scenes. :)

"Sounds like a straight-forward mission, though I've found Taldan villas have tighter security than one might expect. Any clue what we will face at Vernisant's?"

Morrighan looks over the group. "With so many foreigners in attendance, hopefully we won't stick out much from your typical Taldan diplomatic party." She pauses. "Well, at least not as much as we usually would."

"Preparations for this have been ongoing for months. The celebration is officially to honor a weaver from Breezy Creek--Kalbio is his name, if I recall. He'll be raised to the nobility, and presumably be able to pay off the huge debt his parents accrued to get him here."

Morrighan steeples her fingers, "The true main event is the vote to end primogeniture, which mandates only a male heir can ascend the Taldan throne. Stavian’s sole heir, Princess Eutropia, has amassed strong support in the senate to overturn this law. Talk of a slaughter doesn't exactly bode well for the voting process."

"I believe Earl Calhadion Vernisant has been handling security. Rumor has it he's taking orders directly from Stavian."

Feel free to read all the spoilers up to 25 to make sure I didn't miss anything.

"A culling of the Senate? Stavian's finally lost it! We must warn Lady Morilla at once."

"Well, this should be interesting." Morrighan casts heroism on herself.

A tall woman with heterochrome eyes approaches just as Giovanni finishes speaking.

"The smell of intrigue is definitely in the air. Any celebration is Taldor is an excuse for scheming as much as for recreation."

Got a game in on Morrighan in real life, so she is level 8 now. I'll have her character sheet up to date soon.

Biography of your character:
Known in Taldor for her reputation as a "fixer," Morrighan was personally recruited by Gloriana Morilla to join the Sovereign Court. She's taken on a series of hand-picked projects over her time in the Society; she specializes in encouraging cooperation in the teams she's a part of.

Morrighan doesn't talk about her past much. She's never felt really at home in one place; she spent her youth moving from town to town in southern Taldor. The itinerant life of a Pathfinder is perfect for her, and she lives to bring just the right skill or spell to bear on a tricky situation.

I have other characters in tier (including for high tier), but Morrighan is the only one in Sovereign Court. I'm willing to change if people want to play high tier.

Morrighan looks ruefully at the wreckage of the bone golem.

"We'd be poor pathfinders if we didn't clean this up."

She'll take care of the wreckage in the entryway, including the dead ogres, before we leave.

Morrighan continues performing, and she moves next to Gleam. She slashes with her claw at the remaining enemy.

In her battle fervor, Morrighan shrugs off the golem's attack. "You'll pay for that!"

Skaldic reminded: Don't forget good hope, haste, and the benefits of raging song (including Outflank and Paired Opportunists).

(A funny difference in PBP is that I feel like a good 50% of being a bard/skald in face-to-face is reminding people which buffs you are giving!)

Morrighan will grant her allies Outflank and Paired Opportunists with her raging song (performance will cost 2 rounds).

She'll then cast haste, move, hop down the ledge, and flank with Gleam. (This will provoke if the creature has reach. AC 20 while raging.)

Morrighan casts good hope and begins her raging song.
