Midori takes another shot at the leader.

Spruce continues to swing branches at the thug.

Midori steps to the side and looses an arrow at the leader.

"Spruce, go keep that man busy."

The small tree moves forward and begins to lash out at one of the shady figures.

"That would probably be for the best." Midori responds as she slings her bow over her back.

5 foot to the side and fire down the hall at the one I have a clear shot on.
After Brutus steps out of the way, Midori fires into the melee from the corner.

"I'll keep an eye on the stairwell door just in case the owners show up. Yell if you need me."
Midori states, keeping near the entrance to the cellar.

Midori attempts to quietly catch up with the rest of the group downstairs.

"Shall we go help the others with the dwarves?" Midori asks Ran inside the room. "I don't doubt your social acumen, but that seemed a little too easy and I have a gut feeling there is a surprise in store for us."

I'm up for either or. I agree that the friendship ones have been kind of lackluster, but I like playing high level with the established group as well.

I have not played that one.

I would not mind chipping in for that at all.

Midori begins gathering the choicest bits off the table onto a single plate as the conversation goes on.

"I have guided a few people of import through the forests of Kyonin. Acting deferential here would probably enhance this ploy."
Midori thinks to herself as she takes a guarded stance a short distance from Ran.

Midori follows keeps a lookout as requested.

"Go play lookout for our friend Spruce." Midori whispers to her companion and sends it outside after Ran.

Spruce will "root" himself next to the window outside and tap on it if he sees anyone pass by.

Midori pays her part of the room's cost as well. When the staff is out of earshot she says quietly. "So, they seem nice enough. Should we be straightforward and question them, or snoop around when everyone is asleep?"

Just realized I forgot to heal after the fight, I would have taken care of that before now. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Feral, I think D-Kal on the boards is the guy who wrote Wayfinder. He has been asking for feedback from the people that have it, so he probably would not mind contact with suggestions.

Back from Dragoncon. Got 3 sessions into my packed weekend. Managed to survive Bonekeep 1 & 2 as well as storming the diamond gate. My posting should be back to normal, I apologize for holding you all up. Also, has there been any discussion about what our higher level party is going to be doing?

"The people of this land seem to resound well to your disguise, but this sort of thing is a little different than my normal jobs so I don't believe my input means much here. I will try to look for signs of captives if the opportunity presents itself." Midori responds to Ran.

Midori spins and sends her second arrow towards the dragon flying over the water.

Heading out to Dragoncon in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow. I will not be posting until at least Monday next week. Figured I would give you all a heads up.

"Well that explains the smell." Midori says as she knocks and arrow, leans to the left, and looses it at the creature.

Spruce also makes his way up to attack from one of the sides.

"Cities are not really my thing, but if that is the best way to avoid unnecessary conflict then we should probably pay the tax."

Midori gives the screaming man a strange look, Wayne an apologetic one, then turns her attention back to the dwarves.
"I, uhh... apologies. Do you know what your three compatriots look like? Or anything they may have had that we should be looking for at the inn. I believe I was summoned for tracking purposes, so anything more you can give me beyond what was in the letter would be helpful."

After a short flustered pause Midori responds. "That is Spruce. He is... well... He kind of followed me here." She then quickly tries to change the subject. "Why do you smell funny?"

Midori stands just under six feet with long flowing brunette hair. She has a longbow slung on her back, and is garbed in green dyed leathers that match her eyes. She takes her eyes off her companion long enough to size up what appears to be her first traveling group since her initiation.
She gives a polite nod in acknowledgement to the strange smelling man with the odd looking hat.

"Spruce, please don't touch that." She says sharply, causing the roaming sapling to quickly recoil away from an expensive looking decoration on a nearby table.

"Midori." The elven woman says quietly with a hint of fatigue. She intently watches a small tree wander almost aimlessly around the large manor room and pays cursory attention to the conversation at hand.

Treesinger it is then. If anyone wants to proof my treant it would be appreciated. My first time attempting a pet class.
