Wayne fires his firearm at the flying draco. The bullet punches into the side of the creature, causing it veer in the air.

The snake strikes at Corbalias.

Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Damage: 1d2 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0

The Gorumite barely evades the snakes fangs.

Midori fires and arrow, but the dragon pitches left and the arrow sails by, splashing into the river.

Spruce ambles across the deck and smashes the snake with it's club-like appendage.

Corbalias!

@Midori, no need to make a separate avatar, unless you want to. I'll get Spruce added to the map.

After being hit by Wayne's bullet, the drake pulls up hard and flies downriver before diving into the water, out of sight.

    Out of Combat

While everyone gathers themselves and the sailors swab the acidic mucus from the decks, Midori notices a disturbed area of dirt on the bank of the river. Investigating, the party finds the drake's nest, which contains a small stash of uncut garnets and gold nuggets.

As the boat continues it's course upriver, Passad and the envoys emerge from belowdecks. Passad says. "The Pathfinder Society continues to amaze me, and it seems to me increasingly prudent to enter into a business arrangement that would certainly be to our mutual benefit—particularly for those with an eye for spotting profit. Let me make my case simply: my trade network is growing and already blankets the Inner Sea like no other, and the dwarves cannot hope to compete with the prices I offer. Let us not forget that the Pathfinders have had many mutually profitable business dealings with me in the past.”

“Yes, Temel has his bejeweled fingers in many pies and can offer cheaper wares, but consider the advantages of a business relationship with my mercantile concern: our network is many centuries old, and the quality of our goods is unrivaled. Furthermore, an arrangement with a firm with such deep roots in the Five Kings Mountains would reinforce the military alliance the Society is already negotiating.”

Near dusk, the captain of the boat points out a pleasant country inn up a hill on thenorht shore of the Glass River, where a small dock offers a berth for the Abacus. As the party prepares to leave the boat, the up to now silent Amauhak speaks up. Please refrain from violence if at all possible. Metalla and Passad, in rare agreement, concur with him.

The party passes through the courtyard on their way into the inn. The profusion of flowers planted around this lovely courtyard fills the air with an enchanting fragrance. An oaken door to the north is the obvious entrance to the inn, while south are the broad doors of a stable. Wooden gates allow egress to west and east, and a roofed well lies at the east end of the main court.

Entering the inn, dark oaken tables, chairs and benches fill this comfortable, L-shaped common room, and the faint odors of tobacco and ale permeate the air. Narrow windows with panes of smoked glass along the north and south walls allow some light into this welcoming space. An old matronly woman clad in peasant clothing and an apron sits at the centermost table of this room. Her voluminous white hair is piled atop her head and secured in a conservative bun. She wears a red scarf about her neck and a wry smile on her face.

She looks up as the party enters. Hello travelers! I am Addas Grymble. Do seek lodgings for the night? What brings a party such as yourselves to Razmiran?

The old woman smiles and nods vigorously. Very good! Razmiran needs more investment in the parts. We have seen an influx of pilgrims lately. She calls out toward the kitchen. Sisters! Come out here please, we have visitors! Two kindly old women who bear a definite resemblance to Addas come tottering out of the kitchen to the north, smiling and wiping their hands on their aprons. These are my sisters, Eugenia and Tarsi. The two nod again. Greetings travelers. says the one called Eugenia. Eugenia wears a yellow scarf around her neck, a common garment among Pahmet dwarves and identical to that worn by Amauhak. My sister and I were just beginning to prepare the evening meal. The other sister, Tarsi, chimes in. Yes, we are canning fruit and have a nice beef stew over the fire. You looks as if you could use a meal, so skinny you are. She says to Wayne with a wink.

Addas advises the party that they are welcome to stay the evening and that the party has their choice of rooms, as business has been slow of late. She begins to show the party to the differing rooms, listing the price.

Rooms to the north are single guest rooms and can be had for 5 sp/night. Two rooms to the south and one room to the north are fine guest rooms and sleep two to three comfortably and can be had for 3 gp/night. The is also a lavish guest room to the north that can be had for 5 gp/night and would probably hold the entire party. There are baths to the far south and a guest den immediately north of the common room which is for paying customers only.

Are there any areas that seem to be offlimits or locked?

The women bore the party with inane anecdotes about the weather, how well the garden is doing, getting the leak fixed in the, ect..

The blacked out room to the north is the sisters bedroom, it is locked when the are not in it.

Brutus takes a moment to pull Ran aside.

"The sister's bedroom to the north is locked. Do you think you could find your way in and look around? Something about this place isn't right..."

If he can get more than a moment alone, Brutus will sweep rooms with detect evil.
