Aceracek is grappled, therefore his movespeed is zero. As Such I am fairly certain this Lava dipping attempt would not work. Given that Eliora could, at half of her movespeed, dunk him into the Lava, he would be well advised to stay the hell away from it.
He can end his flight as a free action I guess (but iirc Eli was above the balcony).

I can even save Eliora if I could see her. Healing word brings her back to conscious. There is no negative hp in 5e and if I heal her before she fails a death saving throw she can weeble wobble for quite a while. Once positive I can then banish her until we can get a more permanent solution.

I'm pretty sure RAW, that maddening darkness only specifically negates the light making effect of sunbeam, not the damage and hilariously the blinding effect. Maddening darkness does not talk about negating or granting resistance to radiant damage or protecting someone from a blindness inducing effect, it just negates light sources. RPG stack exchange is my usual go to for questions like this. The link above talks about darkness vs radiant damage in general but the principles are the same.

This only addresses point B however.

I'm not pulling my punches, I'm treating you the way I treat Acererak. I gave him a natural 20 save he would otherwise have failed, and I gave him a spell that was about 3 feet out of range, since the map isn't super precise. Don't hamstring yourself on principles.

I'm not sure which save he rolled a 20 on. But I would rather he didn't hit us with spells he was out of range on than allow me to be in range on my weakest spell.

If he's out of range he can fly his boney butt closer.

The animated objects can't make the saves so they take full damage, and so do I. The good news is they don't stay on fire like objects because they are currently creatures and not objects.

I can either dispel magic the dominate and hope to roll high or bestow curse Thip and he'll never act again this combat. The latter has a better chance of working but takes Thip out of the combat. I was gonna use bestow curse on the BBEG but you know how plans go.

Edit: I'm holding off on action until I see how Anorak's counter spell works. I believe he needs to make a DC 18 check for it work.

Anorack, cannot being both technologically impared and on his phone. But I know what he's going for: Black box, 40ft square, just enough to get all three of the adamantine struts in one spell where they connect with the balconies. The balconies, which are presumably non-magical rock of any sort.

Also it looks like Erith might be in the area but its less of a concern for her.

The crazy plan:

Step 1: Turn the points where the adamantine struts anchor to mud.
Step 2: The struts and the cylinder fall into the lava, taking 10d10 or 18d10 damage depending on how deep they go.
Step 3: Since the atropal is still attached via umbilical and/or web, it also gets dangerously close to the lava.
Step 4: We won?

I did roll for negative energy last turn, its in the spoiler long tentacles. Where I also rolled for the damage to the tentacles for entering the AoE of spirit guardians and them starting their turn within that AoE. This is also where I crit the atropal with my spiritual hammer.

I take it sacred flame didn't work but I assume you have everything else I did accounted for?

This is my action if the tentacles are basically covering the entire space that they appear on the map. That is to say I can damage them with spirit guardians if I'm on the platform.

Long tentacles:
Mike grunts in pain as the atropal drains the lifeforce out of her. It would have been worse if she hadn't psyched herself up earlier. Everyone has 5 temp HP from before we entered the room, motivational speech. She tossed aside the tentacle with her shield as it tried to get fresh with her and she dashed across to the platform. She cried "Smite them Allfather!" and a spectral warhammer appeared next to the undead and smashed into its head, spiritual weapon. If anything tried to attack her she willed a bit of magic stored in her ring thanks to the lizard wizard the day prior, Shield.

Move+action: Dash, Bonus: spiritual weapon, Reaction: Shield or absorb elements, as appropriate on the first attack against her.
