We can recruit if you would like. I don't mind five players however.

Checking in. Sorry, I've got a convention I'm helping run on Easter Weekend that's eating a lot of time. I should be able to keep up until then and should be clear afterwards.

Bah, I have but not my marquee. I'll try to do it in a bit.

Out of curiosity, what settings do you use for posting maps in Google Drive? I was tempted to try DM'ing via PBP, but I wanted to familiarize myself with putting maps and icons up there. Is there a certain scale that you scan the images to? What app is best for creating the tokens?
| DM Rah |
I use Adobe reader to grab maps directly from the PDF, either with the selection tool to "click-copy", or through the "click and select area for copy" option. In Reader you'll want the scale to fall between 125%-150% for the click and select area option. This should give you an image resolution of about 1000-700 for a landscape map.
I then create a google drawing, import the map, and share it - making sure "all with the link" can edit.
Hiding parts of the map can be done by creating shapes in the google drawing app, and custom shapes can be made using the "polyline" option in the dropdown options under "line". Polyline lets you create nonstandard shapes by creating a path of lines that close when you connect the line back to the starting point.
For tokens, you can usually find good options within paizo by going to one of your aliases, then into the avatar image option. Each avatar image is 90x90 resolution (which is about perfect for tokens). I save the image to my hard drive and edit custom tokens in Photoshop to create circular tokens with colored strokes, but it is faster to just copy the avatar image and paste it directly into your map.
Also, keep in mind that players can create shapes and text on shared google drawings to designate the areas for spell effects or add map notes.
I'm considering making a google document with a bunch of tokens that people can copy and paste into their own maps. I'll let you know if and when I do it.

I will be in Orlando for Memorial Day weekend so posting may be hit or miss.

OK, got a question.
Of course I completely forgot that my eidolon now has Reach with his claw attacks. How, exactly, does that work if an enemy closes from a distance to 5' (melee) range? Does he get an AoO (or 2 since he has Combat Reflexes)?
Culsar Rankil

I knew that wasn't going to be clear. Say if someone charged him from over 10' away, would he get to use AoOs for his claws as they move from 10' to 5' away from him?

@Kryspi - Understood. It's hard to do more than one con per year if it's out of state.
I'll be at Gen Con for the first few days. I got spoiled when it was in Wisconsin, as that was an hour away. Now I have to travel 3.5 hours to get to Indy.

I will be going on vacation starting Friday and will have no internet access for the vast majority of the time I'm away. I should be back a week from Sunday. Please bot my PC as best you can please!

I am leaving for Chicago to take the Bar Exam on Tues/Wed. Posting will be sporadic, if at all. Back on Friday!

Heh, I'm from Chicago and I'm leaving now to head to GenCon. Have fun - celebrate at Next, or Au Cheval (nation's best burgers). Or get drinks at the Aviary - well worth checking out as a speak easy type atmosphere and modern molecular gastronomy applied to beverages.
Or Piquad's for pizza.
@DM Rah - please feel free to bot me over the weekend.

The Publican is also good for charcuterie/beer on tap selection, which is in the west loop area that the Haymarket is in. Revolution brewery is getting a lot of acclaim, although I prefer Three Floyd's.
I can't say I'm a fan of Gino's - I think Lou's is the best out of the larger chain of Deep dish places... and Pequod's or Burt's on top of that. Anthony Boursin went there on his no reservations episode if you want to check it out.
Did you like Wrigley Kryspi?

I'm in the same boat, I'm wanting to cut down a little as well. I know, I keep saying that but I actually resisted signing up for the new Season 7 stuff so I must be serious this time. Of course, the Halffinder Society is one of those games I want to continue, much like the Shattered Star game.
If you were still planning to do more, Skip will not be joining. He's got some AP credit waiting once this is done so he'll jump a level and I also don't feel like committing to another module right now.
Don't worry, my Shattered Star game isn't going anywhere. I am actually thinking of putting one or two of my other APs on hiatus for a few months though so I can focus on finishing that game and keeping up with the new scenarios so I don't fall behind.

We can wrap it up here. Sounds like a few of us could use the empty slot.

Yeah, I got that impression also. Thanks for the game!

Thanks Rah! I'll leave this char for whatever and whenever you plan to do this next if you end up grabbing the same folks.... I don't see me taking a halfling fighter in the near future ;)
