Even with all of those terrible diplomacy rolls Tessara said the one thing that made success easy.

I am due to fly o/seas on short notice for a project - I will have delayed posting for the next 3 days. I hope this does not equal 'No posting' and will try to put something up.

I won a boon the other day, and it was after a roll of a 1. Not sure about 20's.
Tess is still open to trading spells with the other witches.

I'm willing to trade as well, I think we can take 10 on the Spellcraft checks so there's no worry about losing out on the spells. I guess the question is which spells is Tessara will to trade, Rowanna is willing to trade any of hers.

Rolling a 20 or a 1 gets a boon, yeah. A 20 allows you to choose from the 4 options, while with a 1, the GM rolls randomly to see which one you get.
Also, GM's get a boon roll as well.

Ok, well I guess we can just assume we make complete trades of our non-duplicate spells if we take 10 on the Spellcraft rolls. If anyone knows if I'm missing something, please let me know.

Thanks, folks - it has been a pleasure playing with you all! It was also nice to have two other witches in my first game with witch levels, will really expand on my "accidental" discovery of witch powers through my familiar! Tessara and Rowanna have earned permanent space in Gerard's backstory.

Hmm, my Spellcraft isn't quite high enough to get everything automatically... so, here are my rolls to learn various spells.
1st level: DC 16, take ten = 16 - automatic - 9 hours' time with Tessara's familiar, 3 hours' time with Rowanna's familiar
2nd level: DC 17
