So this is confusing .-. I thought that Obsidian was doing something Pathfinder related, if they aren't thats disappointing. Second thing to be confused about is that whats up with new studio composed of veterans from random not that notable games? Like Avellone is most notable of bunch, but apparently their game is adaption of AP instead of original touch so I don't think his writing style will come through as much as normally?

While Owlcat may be newer, it's members, and the company it is a part of have had a lot of video game success. Avellone's writing style will come through. It will also definitely have the Pathfinder feel.

As far as not using iconics, isn't that the iconic barbarian on the left of the header image on the website?

BOOM. At this point Amiri will be a possible companion. New characters are being made to fill out the party. More on Iconics to come . . .

At this point it will be for PC. May be expanded.

Kingmaker? Ehhh, If it's not real time with pause or has co-op I'll get it otherwise I'll pass (which really means I'll only guy one copy because my girlfriend will get it either way)

It will be real-time with pause. No finalized decision on co-op.

They really like making video games on the Kingmaker AP don't they.

Though I am looking forward to the Video game I wish they would pick a different AP to base a video game on.

Our thought is that the players have the most amount of freedom with Kingmaker.

Hmm. Interesting. Though, using some new developer instead of partnering again with Obsidian (who excels at making this type of game) doesn't inspire my confidence off the bat.

That said, I'm still curious to see how this shakes out.

Owlcat Games is a newer studio for a company that has done quite a few big projects. Up till now they are more well known for their work in the European market.

Well that's one thing I was hoping for, now I will get the dragon mounted maiden - extremely nice- and a for version, since the mini looks to be a pretty close match.

Thank you for finally producing an archer maiden, that was always a gap in my collection after the first maidens.

All three are good, solid choices and like Marco has implied the distribution looks to be spot on for them.

My only reservation: I hope they are a colour match for the ones previously released in shattered star. Maybe we can get a side-by-side comparison shot when you have the production minis in house?

Now the dragon. Is it my imagination or does Zarmangarof bear more than a passing resemblance to the incentive piece from heroes and monsters?

They do in fact look similar. I can say that they are based off of different reference, and that their stance is the most efficient way to get them on their bases without taking up twice their size in unfurled wings and lashing tails :).

I want six of the Maidens with swords and 2 to 4 of the archers. They look awesome! I wonder if there are any other Maidens in the set? I'd like one with a spear.

Hey Mike, thank you for making it possible for us to get miniature previews while Erik is in his well deserved family vacation.

I hope you'll have a great MLK weekend too.

The minis are great:
-the common guard (4-5 in a case),
-the uncommon archer (3-4 in a case)
-the rare leader (1 in a case)

See you next friday?

Oh yes.

So we have:

Half-Orc UnChained Barbarian
Catfolk UnChained Rogue
Human Bard
Elf Cleric

Nice. See you all tomorrow.

Good Day! So I originally had not considered UnChained as an option for character creation, as it was not available for my players when I was doing my test run. However, as you are making 1st level characters, and I will be running the super dungeon, like a super dungeon, I have no issue with this. Carry on :).

Awww, thanks for the kind words, everyone. The thing that has kept me going in this campaign has been you guys—being part of a community. Without the friends that I have made in PFS I may not have continued GMing or even playing. I don’t want to name names for fear I’ll leave someone out, but there are a lot of you. It’s the personal connections that really matter. I’m still chasing that “perfect table” too, the one I hope to walk away from knowing I killed it like no one else I’ve seen. Numbers can mean anything. There are lots of blunders mixed into 500 sessions. There are lots of fond memories, too. Thank you for the recognition.

Mr. Miles,

Congratulations! And thank you for all of your hard work! I am sure your many hundreds of players also appreciate everything you have done.

Can I multi class as a druid/alchemist so I can take an ape animal companion, give him a tumor, and then give them both armor spikes?

Follow up question:
If I cast animal growth on the ape animal companion, does the tumor gain reach also?

Highhelm? Awesome! Is James Jacobs and his unreasonable dwarf hatred on vacation?

James's hatred of dwarves is far overblown by, of all things, the internet! (I know, it surprised me as well to learn that the internet can sometimes do this.) And said "hatred" pales in comparison to James's knowledge that the game is not just for him.

Dwarves are cool. Just sayin.

I never saw any raptors, but that was before internistan was created for it's brief existence in the warehouse. . . There will be no planting of a flag on a desk in the office were you are allowed to sit. Unless you wish to wage war upon Project Management and Licensing simultaneously! You will be defeated! There is no doubt.

Just once, and yes.

Exactly the same as taking Weapon Focus (claws) if you had four arms and the Grab ability. Each claw would benefit.

Thanks! :D

1) If your eidolon has 3 heads, you have to select bite for all three heads for all of them to have bite attacks. Do you have to select improved damage (bite) once for each head? Or just once?

2) If you took trip would all three heads also have a trip attack?

Also: Would each additional head also give the eidolon bonuses to perception?

Can you only have one attack per head? As in a bite, gore or breath weapon? Or could each individual head conceivably have all three?

Does each additional set of limbs (legs) grant you the ability to have another two claw attacks?

So the question is how do I scale spit attack damage? Specifically in this case spit acid attacks. Ive been browsing the Bestiary and Bestiary II and have struck out at this point. If anyone can give a reference that would be sweet.

This is the one and only thing about PFRPG that saddened me. Jason and the gang had a perfect opportunity to make combat maneuvers clear, concise, simple, and water-tight. The 3.5e rules were oft-considered to cumbersome and confusing. PF failed to remedy that, sadly. There shouldn't be any of this discussion or debate about these rules... but there has to be, because some parts were written ambiguously.

I'd love a mega-errata "replace the combat maneuvers pages with THIS" type document that's more coherent than what was written.

Yeah I pretty much agree. After reading the revamped combat maneuver stuff it doesn't seem any easier to use, just different.

I think the root of all evil with grapple and other combat a maneuvers (like trip and overrun, etc) is that the designers insist on trying to come up with a system that makes them viable combat tactics through levels 1-20 when they should not be.

All combat maneuvers, including grapple, should be useful only at low levels or with low CR "mundane" creatures and the system used to adjudicate them should be simple enough to reflect this. After level 5 or so you should never want to try to grapple anything as it should be ineffective and it should fall off your plate of combat options.

What would be the point of a game mechanic in a game that goes from 1-20 that is only effective until level 6? IMO combat maneuvers should stay effective through all levels. Otherwise why have them? If anything they should increase in effectiveness as a character levels up.

Thanks for the clarification. It makes sense. I like it. That is all.

Michael, you state you bit your rpg teeth playing playing D&D 2nd, then 3.x edition before Pathfinder. Have you played the latest D&D edition? (I am specifically avoiding asking your opinion about it.) What other rpgs have you played?

I have not played the lasted D&D edition. Other rpgs include Rogue Trader and Deathwatch. Board games that got me into it all were Hero's Quest (of course), and Battle Masters.
