![]() Its a DC 12 Will save to avoid Color Spray (apparently), which means Talon needs a 12 to save against it, and Agatha needs an 11. Statistically speaking, they have a better chance at hitting us with a Color Spray than we do against saving it, terrain means you cannot actually move the unconscious people very far due to limited movement speed, and total concealment means that hitting anything is pretty much impossible unless its in melee range and your name is Agatha. These guys have upwards of 15 AC (I'm guessing based on previous sprite rolls), DR, flight, and thats just the sprites! We have a troll coming, and something hidden in the snow casting summon monster, god knows what else it can do in close quarters. Heck, I think the sprites have a better chance hitting Talon than he does hitting them. Fairly certain this would be an epic level encounter, so at this point, I think encouraging us to stay and fight is really just pushing for a TPK. ![]()

![]() I see a difference as well, but the issue is nobody is walking away. I'd like to be able to heal as we retreat as a group (id be a terrible choice for carrying someone), but the only person that made inroads to retreat...was just me. I found myself in an awkward situation, I could retreat, which would hopefully encourage others to follow my example (if your cleric is retreating, its usually a good idea to follow), or I could stay and assist the group in fighting an encounter that we couldn't realistically win, conscious of the fact that we might not get a further chance to flee. If everyone else had said "Ok lets all retreat, [I'll] grab the wizard, Meditrina heal us as we go" thats fine. Instead you had an unconscious wizard, a cleric retreating from the party, and three other people deciding to fight rather than flee, for multiple rounds. ![]()

![]() Talon Thief-taker wrote: Okay then...with Meditrina giving up, we really stand no chance at all. I guess we all have to run, then? Can we at least try to tactically withdraw and help our friends get out of there, too? We just rested and have full resources... Taking exception to you pinging me for this, when we had a low success rate from the beginning. We had trying movement conditions, an inability to use any sort of ranged attack (total concealment beyond 10 feet) which meant no fire attacks from me or arrows from Lucien, we then failed a perception/trap finding check, set off a trap (penalty to init + deafness on two members), got hit with a surprise round, stood around for two rounds instead of retreating and promptly lost our wizard to Color Spray, and tried to do a heroic last stand (doing no damage to like, any enemies around us) instead of falling back and regrouping. After asking people if we could retreat, I then started to retreat myself, hoping people would follow my lead, but it still took 4 rounds for you to realise we couldn't win this encounter on this occasion. I'm sorry but I'm just genuinely confused as to how you saw a different outcome, when 90% of our melee attacks were missing, ranged was out, AOE channeling was out (couldn't see allies / enemies), AOE Spells were out (ditto), no arcane caster etc. ![]()

![]() Talon, the issue is I cannot actually see where everyone is, furthermore, I cannot tell if the enemy has or hasn't taken damage and would certainly be healed if I tried to. I don't actually know if the rest of the party even wants to back off, since everyone but me hung around after the trap went off. ![]()

![]() 15--->13 HP Reflex Save: 1d20 ⇒ 3 If its just a 5 foot radius spread isn't it possible that I can just like...5 foot out of it and still attack? Royally Pissed off, but feeling like she alone has the b est chance at crippling this enemy, Meditrina goes for broke, unleashing a burning hands at the doll. Beat Spell Resistance?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

![]() If the nasty creature is still standing, Meditrina hurls a bolt of fire at it, fairly secure in the knowledge that it won't enjoy being roasted alive. Ranged Touch Fire Bolt: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Afk for the enxt 32 hours, feel free to DMPC me in the meantime. ![]()

![]() Meditrina files the information away about the witch, having a hunch that while the creature was merely a doll, she was speaking from personal memories...although upon reflection it could have just been a nasty trick. Mentally reviewing any information she possessed against undead, she tags along at the back of the group, lost in thought. ![]()

![]() By now, Meditrina suspects something isn't quite right here. The girl seems to be talking to someone that only she can see, and that makes her nervous slightly. "What is the name of the person you are talking to?". she asks, hoping to get a clearer idea as to what the situation is. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 EDIT, Drat, a fail unless anyone wishes to use Aid Another on the check? =] ![]()

![]() Quote: While an extra burning hands is nice unfortunately per the PRD you can't prepare it in a regular spell slot. You can if you read my archetype before posting... Which specifically allows you to prepare domain spells in non domain slots. Same goes for Ecclesitheurge. Quote: A theologian can prepare domain spells using her non-domain slots. Pet Peeve: I really hate it when someone says you cannot do something, when you actually can. Good catch on the cantrip though, it was Create Water, forgot to add it.
